The Star Chamber Comes to Texas

The old saying goes that a grand jury could indict a ham sandwich. In reality, it’s worse. Forget innocuous sandwiches, with or without Russian dressing. In Texas, at least in Austin’s Travis County, you can indict the state’s governor, Rick Perry, for doing the job any intelligent citizen would want him to do — trying to get rid of an absolutely atrocious public official. That official was District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg, a dimwitted and abusive drunk driver who ran that county’s — wait for it — “Public Integrity Unit.” Perry threatened to veto funding for said unit as long as

I have a delightful feeling that this atrocity is going to bite the dems in the behind.
Who can say that they wouldn´t fire (strip of funding) the drunk witch? I just wish we had Rs with the stones to take this and ram it down the dems throats--we are trying to clean up the filth but you dems want to protect and promote filth.

Yeah, this could help Perry in the long run because it shows he has the gravitas to do the job as president..He´s also helped himself with the NG on the border and recruiting businesses to Texas.

One has to ponder just who it is that finds Perry´s presumed candidacy for president to be such a threat.

Travis County is a swirling hell hole of liberal Democrats in the state of Texas. Where else in this state would you find all the leaches that try and suck the blood from a state then in the state capitol.

These are the same people that are trying to stop gun shows that have been a part of that county since gun shows started.

Pity Barack Obama. Our hapless chief executive must be suffering from a cognitive disorder the size of Alpha Centauri. The poor guy grew up on the anti-imperialist mouthings of lefty poet Frank Marshall Davis, schoolboy revolutionary Bill Ayers and later anti-Israel professor Rashid Khalidi, not to mention the well-known anti-American excrescences of the Reverend Jeremiah Wright, and now he has to go to war — as an imperialist — against the very Third World people he was told again and again we colonized and destroyed. His head must be about to explode. No wonder he insisted in his Wednesday night

RUSH: Now, folks, I want to get started here on a popular perception of Obama´s worldview. There´s a lot of people I have run across in the throes of show prep pulling their hair out and wringing their hands trying to figure out why Obama doesn´t do anything, doesn´t really take action to deal with these really bad, evil people and the threats that they pose. I´m not gonna have time to complete this in-depth analysis before the next obscene profit time-out, but let me give you a heads-up. Let me give you the umbrella under which everything else falls.

The indictment of Gov. Rick Perry by a grand jury in Travis County, Texas, is part of a power struggle that originates with a serious crime, albeit not one committed by Gov. Perry. That crime, as everyone knows by now, is drunk driving, and it was committed by Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg. When Travis County District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg, Democrat, was arrested and charged with drunk driving on April 12, 2013, her blood alcohol level measured .23. That is just shy of three times the legal limit in Texas, which is .08. According to the Texas Alcoholic Beverage

People reading the title of this article should be excused for doing a double-take. To most of us the United Nations has been — especially in the last few decades — a debating society dedicated to the promulgation of anti-Semitism. It seems all the organization does is pass resolutions condemning Israel, that is when they’re not launching investigations of the same country via their Human Rights Council, a latter-day branch of the Wehrmacht, led by posturing Third World bigots, that usually meets at beachfront resorts. Even UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has been a tiny bit perturbed of late by

Barack Obama deliberately set out to lose the war in Iraq, and he did. He defied the advice of his joint chiefs of staff to secure America’s formidable military presence and keep 20,000 troops in country, and left Iraq to its own devices and the tender mercies of Iran. In doing so, he betrayed every American and Iraqi who gave his life to create a free Iraq and keep it out of the clutches of the terrorists. Iraq is now a war zone dominated by the terrorist forces of the Islamic State, whose rise Obama’s policies fostered. Both his secretaries

When I was a kid, I mean a little kid, my favorite nurse in my father’s office — he was a doctor — was Mrs. Mindus. I’m not sure how old she was or even how she spelled her name — I was about six and the year was 1950 — but she was a sweet woman and very welcoming to me when I visited the radiology office. She used to bring me crayons and a coloring book and sometimes candy as if I were her own child. The only other things I remember about her were that she spoke

Impeachment is the constitutional remedy for public officials including presidents who break the law. For the remainder of Obama’s time in office, though, impeachment may as well have been written out of the Constitution. House Speaker John Boehner has been maneuvered into taking impeachment out of the U.S. system of governance by Obama’s scamming campaign tactics, along with a hyperpartisan media, today. Talk of impeachment was cooked up by a White House desperate for something to rally Democrats ahead of November’s elections, House Speaker John A. Boehner said Tuesday, flatly ruling out any action on the controversial suggestion. “We have

There are many (many) people who predict the downfall of music sales and the irrelevancy of the album as an economic entity. I am not one of them. Former President George W. Bush put together a 48 member coalition for the Iraq War in 2003. 40 of those members supported military operations and 37 provided some number troops. In April 2003, the list was updated to include 49 countries, though it was reduced to 48 after Costa Rica objected to its inclusion. Of the 48 states on the list, three contributed troops to the invasion force (the United Kingdom, Australia and Poland). An additional 37 countries provided some number of troops to support military operations after the invasion was complete. Despite these numbers the liberal media continues to push the lie

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said comparing Republican treatment of President Obama to how Democrats handled President George W. The Department of Labor coordinated with the White House on whether or not to release hidden portions of former Labor Secretary Hilda Solis’ schedule as Solis battled an FBI investigation into her illegal fundraising for President Obama. New emails provided to The Daily Caller from the nonprofit legal research firm Cause of Action show the White House thanking the Department of Labor for “flagging” a public information request for “withheld” portions of Solis’ schedule. The White House then asked for the name of the conservative group making the request — information that Labor officials were eager to give up. As TheDC previously

There’s a lot of competition for Barack Obama’s biggest lie. The man who could assure the American public with a straight face over thirty times that they could keep their doctor under his health plan, when he knew that to be completely false, is one hellluva fibber. But execrable as that serial prevarication may have been, it doesn’t hold a proverbial candle to his most recent whopper — that the Islamic State is not Islamic — not to mention its corollary, or perhaps subsidiary lie, that real religions do not indulge in murder. Islam has been doing that pretty much straight

Is a mutiny happening around President Obama? It appears possible that the president may not have made two of his most recent decisions with complete free will. The announcement that he would delay his immigration initiative until after the election and his formal announcement that the United States would take military action against the Islamic State could have been coerced. Maybe Democratic leaders in Congress and a few members of the Obama team have had it. Could it be that, after President Obama briefed Democrats in Congress on the immigration plan, they balked? Maybe the president was told that, if he

First Lady Michelle Obama has made healthy eating and exercise her signature issue. But, a recent study published by the Sage Journal found that her “elitist” advice actually “shames poor and middle class mothers.” The College Fix added that the study found that Michelle Obama’s healthy eating program is also sexist. It’s also sexist, the study’s authors suggest, noting that “intentionally or not, it places the burden of a healthy home-cooked meal on women.” Sage Journals published the study by North Carolina researchers Sarah Bowen, Sinikka Elliott and Joslyn Brenton. Here are a few of the findings: Magazines such as Good Housekeeping and
