Even Liberals Think The
Indictment Of Rick Perry Looks Weak

Business Insider, by Colin Campbell

Although some Democrats are calling for Texas. Gov Rick Perry´s (R) resignation after he was indicted by a grand jury on Friday, a number of left-leaning observers immediately panned the allegations as unimpressive. Perry, an expected presidential candidate in 2016, is accused of "abuse of official capacity" and "coercion of [a] public servant" by publicly threatening to zero out a state prosecutor´s funding and then actually doing it. Several pundits, including former Obama campaign strategist David Axelrod, Clinton and Obama administration alum Jonathan Prince, Vox´s Matt Yglesias, and New York magazine´s Jonathan Chait, wrote on Twitter they couldn´t see what

Just part of the Dem dirty tricks play book. Remember Tom Delay who´s "conviction" was overturned and Sen Stevens from Alaska where prosecutors (Dems) were sited for misconduct in their prosecution of him, which was again overturned. Dems have no integrity -- and will use and abuse any and all offices, legal tactics, laws employees to get what they want.

Any good liberal watching the outrageous persecution of an obviously sober and in control district attorney Lehmberg’s booking and manhandling by a remarkably mean and ugly blond policewoman will have no doubt about Perry’s guilt.

Weak? There is no case at all. The ultra-libs that run Travis County (Austin) love to play these games. They never intend or expect to get a conviction, but they ruin the careers of conservative Republicans. Their primary goal has already been met- Perry has been indicted, and now has that label.

The Democrats must be all wee-wee-ed up over Perry´s possible election.

Perry is a strong candidate. He can win in a major landslide and bring the entire down-ticket with him for Republicans. Democrats have tipped their propeller-beanies with this stupid stunt.

I love it that Texas is the State of all others that epitomizes American strength, masculinity and toughness. Democrats don´t do masculinity, they only do bullying and abuse.

Did the Democrats think this would wipe immigration off the news cycle? It will serve only to highlight the immigration mess, not squash the news about it.

2. The perverts* game is extremely weak

* ´pervert´ is the term I associate with liberals, progressives, democrats, etc. It´s a more descriptive term and I encourage everyone to use it. Don´t give me credit for it, just start using it.

Ronnie Earle is the former Travis County DA who had to impanel three grand juries before he could get an indictment of Tom DeLay. Earle is also the one who went after Kay Bailey Hutchison for supposedly using her Texas State Treasurer office telephones to campaign for the US Senate. It took Earle three grand juries to finally get a Hutchison indictment, too, but eventually Hutchison got a directed verdict of acquittal after Earle declined to present evidence in the appellate court. Earle announced his retirement in order to run for Texas Lieutenant Governor in 2010. He was defeated in the Democrat primary.

Lehmberg is a successor.

President Obama is not popular at this point in his presidency, even in a blue state like Minnesota. Our own Senator Al Franken repeatedly bristled as GOP candidate Mike McFadden cited Franken’s 97 percent voting record in support of Obama at their debate in Duluth earlier this week. Franken mocked the statistic but didn’t offer a correction. That’s because the statistic is correct and because any purported correction would be even more damning if it came from Franken. The 97 percent figure is a good one to use. It doesn’t come from a partisan source; it comes from Congressional Quarterly.
