Obama Administration Makes War on Israel
Commentary, by John Podhoretz

What on earth? In the middle of a war this country’s president publicly says is justified owing to the relentlessness of the rocket fire against civilian populations, U.S. officials proudly tell the Wall Street Journal, they are holding up weapons transfers to Israel: They decided to require White House and State Department approval for even routine munitions requests by Israel, officials say. Instead of being handled as a military-to-military matter, each case is now subject to review—slowing the approval process and signaling to Israel that military assistance once taken for granted is now under closer scrutiny. These transfers were taking

Obama will have Susan "The Truth" Rice approve all Israeli request for weapons and ammunition on an individual basis. For ex, if Israel needs 3,000 artillery shells, the IDF will have to submit 3,000 detailed requests, including specifics on the proposed targets, the risk of collateral damage to civilians and the impact on climate change.

Rice will then scrupulously review each order, including the proposed impact area, the density of civilian population and the shell´s contribution to greenhouse emissions. During the review process Obama will reassure pro-Israel contributors that he stands with them.

Obama´s goal has been obvious: to encircle Israel by intentionally overthrewing two neutral/allied Arab countries(Egypt, Libya, attempted Syria), leaving a vortex to be filled by enemies(aka Islamists) of Israel. He wanted a coalition to fight Israel but alas it backfired and he goes to/provokes war with diminished resources. Iit did not work out too well for him. Israel can and will just get their resupply, new weapons elsewhere if need be-Obama outdone once again. Obama is quite the Islamist snake.

Israel should use their tremendous strength and drive Hamas into the sea as flotsam of dead bodies. Ultimately wipe them out without letting up. No more cease fires.

This piecemeal strikes routine and cease fires will go nowhere and Israel will still be hated by the squatter in OUR HOUSE and the entire muslim world.

It´s probably about time for Harvey Weinstein, Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Barbra Streisand, David Geffen, Larry David, etc., etc., etc. to have another huge Hollywood fundraiser for Fueherbama.

I remember when 0bama carried Florida in 2008 and a news crew was interviewing an elderly Jewish woman down in South Florida. She was asked who she had voted for and why. She said she voted for 0bama primarily because she supported Israel and the Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin "scared her to death".

I choose to think this is part of God´s plan where he moves all nations away from Israel so that He can do something Jaw-droppingly Awesome for that country; then everyone will know that HE is the Lord.
Psalm 37:3 ´but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming.´

If I were Bibi I´d forget about cease fires and just get it done. He will be villified either way.

"Obama Administration Makes War on Israel"

War on Israel? Seriously? Putting in place a couple additional administrative hurdles is the equivalent of making war?

"In the annals of American foreign policy, no ally has ever been talked about in this way."

Hyperventilating, clothes-rending, hair-tearing exaggeration. He denies that Israel is "playing" the United States and asserts that Israel is only "playing" Obama. He asserts that Israel is pitting Congress against the American president to further its own self-interest. Fair enough. That´s the game. But how is that NOT "playing" the United States? And even if Mr. Podhoretz´ assertion is correct, that Israel is only "playing" Obama, isn´t that personal? And Mr. Podhoretz is somehow shocked and outraged that an unpopular and weakened American president shows the common human response of pushing back.

Strikes me the only hissy fit here is the one Mr. Podhoretz is throwing. And I usually like his pieces. Oh well, we´re all human.

Oh, and ALL foreign policy is ALWAYS personal. "Mister Gorbachev, tear down this wall."

Obama is extremely jealous of Netanyahu because Bibi is a real man, knows how to conduct a war and is a successful leader.

"obama" and "success" can not be used in the same sentence. When it comes to something as serious and complicated as national defense, he runs away on vacation and conducts cheerleading sessions by calling the NYT to feed them their daily dose of White House propaganda. Holding up their arms shipments is similar to a child hiding his sister´s doll because she gets all the attention.

Where are all the liberal Jews in Obama´s latest lashout at Israel? The reason we have WRSA (US war reserve stocks in allied countries) is so they can be used quickly in an emergency--the Obama administration clearly didn´t understand that. Now that Obama has basically stopped delivery of WRSA to Israel where are all the American liberal Jews? Don´t they care? Are they just so far to the left that Israel´s problems don´t matter?

While much said about allegiances in the comments is probably true, I suspect that the "hissy fit" description is exactly right. Israel fought and essentially won this battle without kissing BO´s ring and Kerry, the clown prince came off looking like, well, a clown. BO has a thin skin and if he has success in the Middle East it would have been a reprieve from his domestic problems. Instead he looked more incompetent and his poll numbers dropped even further.

So the boy king takes his petty revenge.

This is the behavior that scares me. This is BO unchecked and unbalanced. He just doesn´t care about what is right or what US obligations might be. He acts outside or on the extreme edge of the law.

I think this is what we can look forward to if/when Republicans take the Senate. The biggest snit fit ever seen. BO is a stupid, petty, nasty person and we will know that for sure soon.

What will we do about it?

Obama administration attempts

The Obama administration sought Friday to tamp down fears of an Ebola outbreak within the U.S., making the case that America’s infrastructure and health care systems set it apart from the horrific scenes coming out of West Africa, even as a confirmed case in Dallas and recent scares in the nation’s capital prompt fears of a domestic problem. “The United States is prepared to deal with the crisis,” Lisa Monaco, homeland security adviser to President Obama, told reporters at a White House briefing on the response to the deadly virus. At the same time, officials said they understood the alarm

The U.S. economy is back on solid ground six years after the Great Recession, new data showed Friday, but President Obama and other Democrats are struggling to convince voters ahead of the midterm elections that they deserve the credit for the rebound. The government reported that the unemployment rate dropped to 5.9 percent in September, the lowest level since the dark days of the 2008 financial crisis. Job growth surged to 248,000 in what was the final snapshot of the nation’s labor market before voters head to the polls in November. Obama on Friday seized on the numbers, pleading with

The case has not been confirmed, but the number of similar incidents around the country and a confirmed Ebola patient in Dallas have spurred concerns about whether U.S. hospitals are as prepared to deal with the virus as federal officials insist they are. Since July, hospitals around the country have reported more than 100 cases involving Ebola-like symptoms to the federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, officials there said. You can win midterm elections without a positive agenda. You can’t win presidential elections that way. It is therefore vitally important for Republicans to win the Senate in 2014. Here’s why. In midterms, it’s all right to be the party of no. The 2010 election, for example, was a referendum on the liberal overreach of the first two Obama years. Result? A Democratic “shellacking,” said President Obama. The massive stimulus, (the failed) cap-and-trade and Obamacare created a major backlash that cost Obama the House and, with it, the rest of his ideological agenda. It’s been blocked ever since. The confirmation Tuesday of the first Ebola case on U.S. soil emerges against a backdrop of increasing concern in America’s medical community that preparedness for a pandemic has stagnated or slipped in recent years because of tough economic times and increasing malaise since the 2001 anthrax threat. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, America’s premier disease fighter, offered the air of confidence in declaring that the first Ebola patient in Dallas was carefully contained. But earlier this year, it sounded less optimistic about the U.S. health system’s ability to fight a pandemic should a major disease outbreak occur.

A recent fight between Rosie O´Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg has producers at The View looking to add a cool-down room for the ladies. After being cut off by Goldberg during an episode last week so the show could go to commercial, O´Donnell began to express how upset she was and, after being told repeatedly by Goldberg it was not the right time to have that discussion, eventually got cursed out by the Oscar winner. Goldberg told O´Donnell, ´F*** it, I told you to leave it alone and you just don´t want to listen. If you want to go there Rosie,

A presidential defeat isn’t an easy thing to bounce back from. And Mitt Romney did it twice. So it was understandable that after he lost the presidential race in 2012, he was adamant about closing the door to the possibility of a third campaign. But recently, speculation is whirling that Romney may not be so adamant anymore. When asked if he was running in a New York Times interview published earlier this week, Romney said : “I have nothing to add to the story. We’ve got a lot of people looking at the race,” he said. “We’ll see what happens.” That response, which

Meghan McCain joined the dog pile on the Secret Service this week, saying she’s had “nothing but horrible experiences" with the agency and likening the agents to “glorified mall cops.” The 29-year-old author and television personality, who is also the daughter of former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), opened up on Pivot’s “TakePart Live” about some of her interactions with the Secret Service. "I have nothing but horrible experiences with the Secret Service,” McCain said. “One of my friends called them glorified mall cops and I don´t think that´s terribly far off. I found them cliquey. I hated

WASHINGTON — Representative Elijah E. Cummings of Maryland was at the grocery store the other day when he ran into an elderly black woman who expressed growing concern about President Obama’s safety. Why, she asked, wasn’t he being better protected by his Secret Service agents? The furor that led to this week’s resignation of the director of the Secret Service resonated deeply among blacks, outraged that those supposed to be guarding the first black president were somehow falling down on the job — and suspicious even without evidence that it may be deliberate. “It is something that is widespread in

On Wednesday, the ex-CNN talk show host wrote his first story as editor-at-large for the Daily Mail. While the content is vicious, angry and sure to tickle conservative journalists and pols, the writing is colorful, even entertaining.“A slapdash Secret Service detail isn’t what’s wrong with the White House — the real scandal is a President who is so complacent about protecting Americans,” the headline blares. Piers predicts that now that President Obama went on “60 Minutes” and distanced himself from U.S. national intelligence agencies on the rapid spread of ISIS, he’s guaranteed himself leaks to the media for the remainder of his
