Obama Administration Makes War on Israel
Commentary, by John Podhoretz

What on earth? In the middle of a war this country’s president publicly says is justified owing to the relentlessness of the rocket fire against civilian populations, U.S. officials proudly tell the Wall Street Journal, they are holding up weapons transfers to Israel: They decided to require White House and State Department approval for even routine munitions requests by Israel, officials say. Instead of being handled as a military-to-military matter, each case is now subject to review—slowing the approval process and signaling to Israel that military assistance once taken for granted is now under closer scrutiny. These transfers were taking

Obama will have Susan "The Truth" Rice approve all Israeli request for weapons and ammunition on an individual basis. For ex, if Israel needs 3,000 artillery shells, the IDF will have to submit 3,000 detailed requests, including specifics on the proposed targets, the risk of collateral damage to civilians and the impact on climate change.

Rice will then scrupulously review each order, including the proposed impact area, the density of civilian population and the shell´s contribution to greenhouse emissions. During the review process Obama will reassure pro-Israel contributors that he stands with them.

Obama´s goal has been obvious: to encircle Israel by intentionally overthrewing two neutral/allied Arab countries(Egypt, Libya, attempted Syria), leaving a vortex to be filled by enemies(aka Islamists) of Israel. He wanted a coalition to fight Israel but alas it backfired and he goes to/provokes war with diminished resources. Iit did not work out too well for him. Israel can and will just get their resupply, new weapons elsewhere if need be-Obama outdone once again. Obama is quite the Islamist snake.

Israel should use their tremendous strength and drive Hamas into the sea as flotsam of dead bodies. Ultimately wipe them out without letting up. No more cease fires.

This piecemeal strikes routine and cease fires will go nowhere and Israel will still be hated by the squatter in OUR HOUSE and the entire muslim world.

It´s probably about time for Harvey Weinstein, Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Barbra Streisand, David Geffen, Larry David, etc., etc., etc. to have another huge Hollywood fundraiser for Fueherbama.

I remember when 0bama carried Florida in 2008 and a news crew was interviewing an elderly Jewish woman down in South Florida. She was asked who she had voted for and why. She said she voted for 0bama primarily because she supported Israel and the Republican VP candidate Sarah Palin "scared her to death".

I choose to think this is part of God´s plan where he moves all nations away from Israel so that He can do something Jaw-droppingly Awesome for that country; then everyone will know that HE is the Lord.
Psalm 37:3 ´but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming.´

"Obama Administration Makes War on Israel"

War on Israel? Seriously? Putting in place a couple additional administrative hurdles is the equivalent of making war?

"In the annals of American foreign policy, no ally has ever been talked about in this way."

Hyperventilating, clothes-rending, hair-tearing exaggeration. He denies that Israel is "playing" the United States and asserts that Israel is only "playing" Obama. He asserts that Israel is pitting Congress against the American president to further its own self-interest. Fair enough. That´s the game. But how is that NOT "playing" the United States? And even if Mr. Podhoretz´ assertion is correct, that Israel is only "playing" Obama, isn´t that personal? And Mr. Podhoretz is somehow shocked and outraged that an unpopular and weakened American president shows the common human response of pushing back.

Strikes me the only hissy fit here is the one Mr. Podhoretz is throwing. And I usually like his pieces. Oh well, we´re all human.

Oh, and ALL foreign policy is ALWAYS personal. "Mister Gorbachev, tear down this wall."

Obama is extremely jealous of Netanyahu because Bibi is a real man, knows how to conduct a war and is a successful leader.

"obama" and "success" can not be used in the same sentence. When it comes to something as serious and complicated as national defense, he runs away on vacation and conducts cheerleading sessions by calling the NYT to feed them their daily dose of White House propaganda. Holding up their arms shipments is similar to a child hiding his sister´s doll because she gets all the attention.

Where are all the liberal Jews in Obama´s latest lashout at Israel? The reason we have WRSA (US war reserve stocks in allied countries) is so they can be used quickly in an emergency--the Obama administration clearly didn´t understand that. Now that Obama has basically stopped delivery of WRSA to Israel where are all the American liberal Jews? Don´t they care? Are they just so far to the left that Israel´s problems don´t matter?

While much said about allegiances in the comments is probably true, I suspect that the "hissy fit" description is exactly right. Israel fought and essentially won this battle without kissing BO´s ring and Kerry, the clown prince came off looking like, well, a clown. BO has a thin skin and if he has success in the Middle East it would have been a reprieve from his domestic problems. Instead he looked more incompetent and his poll numbers dropped even further.

So the boy king takes his petty revenge.

This is the behavior that scares me. This is BO unchecked and unbalanced. He just doesn´t care about what is right or what US obligations might be. He acts outside or on the extreme edge of the law.

I think this is what we can look forward to if/when Republicans take the Senate. The biggest snit fit ever seen. BO is a stupid, petty, nasty person and we will know that for sure soon.

What will we do about it?

AUSTIN — Twenty years ago this November, Texas elected George P. Bush’s uncle as governor. That election cemented Republicans in power in the Lone Star State after a steady period of ascendance. Democrats haven’t won a statewide elective office since and their candidates for governor (state Sen. Wendy Davis) and lieutenant governor (state Sen. It should come as no surprise when movies dovetail with the wider social conversation. But this week, the collision is occurring with particularly crystallizing force. To wit: The arrival of a Liam Neeson movie isn’t exactly news, although his new one, “A Walk Among the Tombstones,” is notable on several counts. For one thing, it marks the return of Neeson to the kind of substantive, mature roles his fans have craved while he’s been making science-fiction fantasies and franchise installments. As New York detective Matt Scudder, Neeson settles easily into a role that calls for equal parts muscular brawn and

What was the Islamic State thinking? We know it is sophisticated in its use of modern media. But what was the logic of propagating to the world videos of its beheadings of two Americans (and subsequently a Briton) — sure to inflame public opinion? There are two possible explanations. One is that these terrorists are more depraved and less savvy than we think. They so glory in blood that they could not resist making an international spectacle of their savagery — after all, they proudly broadcast their massacre of Shiite prisoners — and did not quite fathom how such a

The United States has made the same mistake in evaluating fighters from the Islamic State that it did in Vietnam — underestimating the enemy’s will, according to James Clapper, the director of national intelligence. Clapper also answered some broader questions about intelligence issues confronting the country. Washington - The Secret Service is coming under intense scrutiny after a man who hopped the White House fence made it all the way through the front door before being apprehended. President Barack Obama and his daughters had just departed the White House on Friday evening when an intruder scaled the north fence, darted across the lawn and into the presidential residence, where agents nabbed him. The security breach triggered a rare evacuation of much of the White House, with Secret Service officers drawing their guns as they rushed staffers and journalists out a side door.

The French famously said “non” in 2003 when President Bush

(Video)Friday during the White House press briefing, National Security Advisor Susan Rice abruptly left in the middle of a question after confusing reporters with her announcement President Barack Obama was going ahead with air strikes in Syria. When reporters began to grill Rice about whether the president had already given the authorization to the militarily to bomb in Syria, Rice kept repeating they would not be releasing information on the timing of those air strikes. Reporters continued to push with several trying to explain their question is if the president has already given authorization. Laughing uncomfortably Rice exited the room
