Nunn nabs Zell Miller
endorsement in Georgia

The Hill [Washington, DC], by Cameron Joseph

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 8/14/2014 7:36:36 PM

Democratic Senate candidate Michelle Nunn has nabbed the endorsement of former Georgia Gov. Zell Miller (D), a conservative Democrat who´s backed more Republicans than members of his own party in recent years. Miller, who gave the 2004 Republican National Convention keynote speech endorsing then-President George W. Bush, praises Nunn in a new ad from her campaign. "She´s a bridge builder, not a bridge burner," Miller says in the ad. "Michelle Nunn gives this old Georgian hope." Nunn has been seeking the center in the conservative-leaning state as she duels businessman David Perdue (R) for the seat for retiring Sen. Saxby Chabliss (R-Ga.).

Comments:
Oh Zell say it ain´t so! I used to think so highly of him. Since he has been conservative Democrat it should horrify him what the Democrat party has become and stay as far away from it as he can.

In Goldwater´s twilight years, he married a lib and ended up endorsing HillBilly in 92. Do think, if he was in his right mind, he would ever had done that? HillBilly sure made hay of it though.
Hopefully, Zell suffers the same fate. I would truly hate to think he is in his right mind doing this.

What´s the problem? I thought all "principled conservatives" were going to vote for Michelle Nunn--and all the Democratic candidates in any race--in order to teach the RINO establishment a lesson.

First, he´s a Dem.

Second, a conservative Dem is worthless in today´s Dem party, since they only listen to Liberal Dems.

The white liberal democrat establishment has been removing any "blue dog" democrats particularly in the House.

Therefore, it´s useless to be being fooled into voting for her, or any other, because they´ll be forced to vote along the liberal agenda from their leadership. Harry Reid, Dick Durbin and Chuck Schumer will still be calling the Senate shots, even in the minority.

I agree with Sam Nunn´s homely daughter on one thing. We need to end partisan bickering in Washington. And the way to do that is to get rid of libs. They are the reason nothing works. Nag Nunn has been quoted as saying she believes that Hussein is the greatest POTUS in American history. So either it´s pandering on a scale unheard of or she is clinically insane. If she wins she´ll be a rubber stamp for Dingy Harry and ØDumbø.

I probably would have missed this story were it not for Maggie Gallagher at The Corner. It seems that the good people on the appeal board considering a case at Atherton High School (part of the Jefferson County public school system) have determined that you can use the girls’ bathrooms, locker room and showers if you say you’re a girl. No physical required. A transgender teenager, who was born male but identifies as a female, can continue to use a women’s restroom and locker room at a Jefferson County Public School. A woman loses her life in a horrific act of terrorism while doing nothing more unusual than showing up for work, and Obama White House staff see the tragedy only through the narrow prism of their own diminished political fortunes… The complaint was reportedly uttered during a private DNC fundraising event earlier this week and within earshot of several others. A member of the Obama White House, allegedly after having a few drinks, responded loudly to the topic of the Oklahoma beheading tragedy by exclaiming how awful it was how they (the White House) “couldn’t catch a break.” Her words

A recent investigation has uncovered a shocking tale of corruption and adultery at the Department of Veterans Affairs. Susan Taylor, a longtime federal employee and Deputy Chief Procurement Officer at the Veterans Health Administration since 2010, not only used her position to award government contracts to a former business partner, and worked with said company to hide the thousands and thousands of dollars it was making off the government, but conspired with her married boyfriend — who also had close personal ties to the company — to thwart investigations into her misconduct. The Obama administration does not share Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s view that the forces of militant Islam, whether Sunni or Shi’ite, have in common an ultimate goal “to dominate the world,” a State Department spokeswoman said Monday. In a hard-hitting speech at the United Nations, the Israeli leader said that entities such as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS/ISIL), Hamas, the Iranian regime, Hezbollah, al-Qaeda and Boko Haram share that eventual goal. Jen Psaki was asked at the State Department daily briefing later whether the administration agreed with Netanyahu’s argument that those various groups

Karl brought up congressional testimony last November from Assistant Secretary of State Brett McGurk. In his statements to the House Foreign Affairs Subcommittee [PDF], McGurk spoke of multiple attacks ISIS had carried out last year, and explained how ISIS has been able to thrive: AQ/ISIL

For President Obama, the color of a man’s skin is far more important than the content of his character. On the night when a police officer was shot in a Missouri town torn by racial strife, the president donned a shiny tuxedo to attend a ritzy black awards dinner, where he said police nationwide are to blame for community mistrust, even claiming that “most Americans” think the country is racist. President Obama firmly believes the United States is better off now than when he took office, even though the American people cannot “feel” it. During an interview with 60 Minutes’ Steve Kroft, Obama said, “the country is definitely better off than when I came into office.” “When I came into office, our economy was in crisis,” Obama said. The president then cited lower unemployment, private sector job growth, and deficit cuts as evidence of his administration’s success. “I can put my record against any leader around the world in terms of digging ourselves out of a terrible, almost unprecedented financial crisis,” Obama said. Sacramento, Calif. - Gov. A national coalition of plastic bag manufacturers immediately said it would seek a voter referendum to repeal the law, which is scheduled to take effect in July 2015. Under SB270, plastic bags will be phased out of large grocery stores starting next summer and convenience stores and pharmacies in 2016.
