Hillary Clinton steals the Vineyard spotlight
Martha´s Vineyard Times (MA), by Janet Hefler

The former Secretary of State and rumored presidential candidate attracted a large crowd to a book signing event Wednesday at Bunch of Grapes. It was rainy and grey outside, but the mood was bright inside the Bunch of Grapes Bookstore in Vineyard Haven Wednesday where Hillary Clinton fans were positively beaming. Ms. Clinton was in town to sign copies of her new book, “Hard Choices.” “We love you,” “Please run, we need you,” “I’m such a fan of yours,” and variations of the same were heard again and again from people who had waited in line, some for four hours,

The so-called Vineyard is a liberal Democrat utopia place every summer that bears no resemblance to 98% of America. Something would have been very wrong indeed if Ms. Clinton did not receive a big welcome there.

The MSM is a fully owned subsidiary of the DNC. They always do exactly what the DNC orders them to do.

The change has started. Øvomit is a steadily more unpopular lame duck president. So the media, that has spent the last 6 years fawning over his every move, have been ordered to switch over to the "praise the Hilldebeast above everything" mode.

Expect more and more articles talking about how great the Hilldebeast is, and how Øvomit is starting to falter, while she would be so much greater at handling all the issues that come up.

Honestly, nobody can stand the Hilldebeast (the media, the Secret Service, most other Demon-RATS, etc). But they know she is their best chance at retaining the presidency in 2016, and will help bring out women voters to help down-ballot candidates in that election. So watch the MSM do as they have been commanded and start to prepare America for her 2017 coronation...

Lois Lerner, the former IRS director accused of using her position to delay nonprofit applications to scores of conservative and tea party groups, has broken her wall of silence in a sit-down interview with Politico to say: “I didn’t do anything wrong.” “I’m proud of my career and the job I did for this country,” she told Politico. Many in the United States — as well as Capitol Hill — disagree. Ms. Lerner, who’s no longer with the IRS, is having difficulty finding another place of employment, Politico reported. The 33rd person shot in Chicago since Friday afternoon walked into Mount Sinai Hospital just after 1:20 a.m. Monday bleeding from wounds to his neck and back. He had been on his side of a gang border in Little Village when someone opened fire, police said. Neighbors heard the shots and called 911, but responding officers found nothing until the man was dropped off at the hospital, a few fast miles up Ogden Avenue past the police station where officers would respond to the shooting. Once police had a better idea of where to look, they found shell casings and

Clinton’s relationship with Alinsky, and her support for his philosophy, continued for several years after she entered Yale law school in 1969, two letters obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show. The King fire in Northern California grew this weekend, destroying at least 10 homes, as officials worried that changing weather conditions could fuel the massive blaze even more. National Weather Service meteorologist Jason Clapp said meteorologists were watching closely to see whether shifting weather patterns early this week would generate winds similar to those present last week when the fire spread quickly. The blaze in Eldorado National Forest has grown to encroach on the Tahoe National Forest, officials said. It grew to 82,018 acres and was 10% contained as of Sunday morning, and more than 5,200 firefighters are battling the

I know a lot of people are giddy at the prospect of Republicans taking the Senate this November, but that’s becoming less and less likely. It’s not because Democrats are rallying around a particular mission or set of candidates; it’s because Republicans and conservatives aren’t. It seems like I’m always writing on issues no one wants to hear are mistakes, such as messaging or social issues. But I don’t care. These things have to be said. If these columns are received like a gaseous cousin on a long car trip through the desert, so be it. Crack a window… If things continue on their current course, the GOP will not retake the Senate.

It was once said, “religion is designed to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable.” Jesus’ parables – short stories with moral lessons – were likewise designed to afflict, to draw us in but leave us uncomfortable. These teachings can be read as being about divine love and salvation, sure. But, their first listeners – first century Jews in Galilee and Judea – heard much more challenging messages. Only when we hear the parables as Jesus’ own audience did can we fully experience their power and find ourselves surprised and challenged today. Here are four examples of Jesus’ teachings that everybody gets wrong: 1.

Three and a half months have come and gone and the Pentagon has offered no clarity on what happened to alleged Army deserter and Taliban collaborator Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. Fellow soldiers and other critics fear the military’s now-delayed investigation is shaping up to be a whitewash. The case has become a political powder keg for President Obama. Since he traded five imprisoned Taliban leaders for Bergdahl, the US Government Accountability Office has declared the swap illegal, and nearly two dozen House Democrats have joined Republicans in officially condemning the move for making “Americans less safe.”
