Obamaism is dead and
Hillary Clinton killed it

New York Post, by Michael Goodwin

It’s official: Obamaism is dead. Hillary Clinton killed it. It wasn’t so much a mercy killing as an expedient one, but that’s politics in the best sense. The important thing is that she broke the Democratic omertà code by stating the obvious: The president’s policy of having America sit on the sidelines of a burning world is a disaster that threatens our national security. The power of her argument is confirmed by a report that a testy Obama called it “horses–t” to congressional leaders. Even guru David Axelrod blasted her, proving she scored a direct hit on the Chicago mafia’s central nervous

...if it comes to pass that the words she spoke, do as Goodwin speculates, then by all means she deserves a grudging "thank you"...

...but not much more...

The sharks are in the water and will start feeding on their own now that Hillary has come out on Obama´s disastrous foreign policy. The Democrats in Washington know he is clueless and worse for them, their voters are wising up too, so there may be a feeding frenzy before November.

This smells like a trap and a set-up to me. Hilaria desperately needs people on the Right to give her credibility as a possible commander in chief, and will be collecting quotes from the GOP like "She´s a pragmatist" or "She´s a centrist, with neocon leanings on defence" or "She´d definitely be tougher than Obama". This would give her a big boost in the middle vote she´d have to win to become POTUS.

But it´s all an obvious lie. Hilaria is a Democrat, and Democrats all - all - do what Obama is doing: mess things up with the best interest of the US *not* at heart. If anything, with her very long, sleazy record of leftist corruption, Hilaria Alinsky would be an even worse commander in chief than Lightworker Choom. But we can count on gullible GOP "leader" after gullible GOP "leader" to give her credit now for talking tough and taking a position to the right of Dear Leader (somehow thinking she actually means it), and thus helping boost her upcoming campaign, as she is most certainly counting on.

The response of #6 is very unfair. Goodwin has "walked the walk" and persistently opposed Obama from the beginning. It is especially remarkable that he is conservative now as he was once an adviser to Robert Kennedy. Goodwin´s columns have always been characterized by a sense of basic decency.

She thinks she´s got the nomination locked up and is already "moving toward the center."
It´s what Dem presidential candidates always do (unless they´re a minority and can just say dumb things like "hope and change" and get away with it.)
Fauxahontas may have a say about this move to the center.

The national security gene disappeared from the democRAT DNA after their Vietnam debacle. They are now gun shy and the forces that worked against American interests in the fight against communism are now the life blood of that party.
If anyone thinks Hillary or any breathing democrat today has the capability to defend our nation in a time if need, they are mistaken.

Too little too late, too close to election. No credibility, ever. She rode that slimeball´s coattail and she cannot extricate herself from the association. She also has NO accomplishments. Will the real Hillary Clinton please stand up....er stand down perhaps. Just like our current disaster in chief, as soon as a politician becomes polished in their craft you can presume everything they say to be calculated and politically motivated. To find the inner self one needs to look back to what they said, wrote and did before they perfected their shtick.

She is and will always be the self-righteous zealot follower of Alinsky. The sheister of Whitewater, the crusader who got herself fired from the Watergate prosecution team for lying. When one identifies with a philosophy that espouses deception because the ends justify the means can they ever be trusted?

She has calculated she can beat all comers in the Democrat primary and has moved on to campaigning against the Republicans.

Once in office her inner self will immerge but she will still be a shrewd political beast. This will tend to moderate her in a first term. God save us in a second term. The only potential throttle to her inner elitist totalitarian in a second term, is protecting Chelsea´s political career.

I think this is just a case of Hillary saying what she thinks she must at this point. I expect that there would be a huge chasm between what she is saying NOW versus how she would govern if (God forbid; haven´t we been punished enough?)she attains the Presidency.
Just an example of political expediency.

FTA... Because she’s right that Obama’s policies threaten our national security, it is immoral to stay silent.

If leftists didn´t have immorality, they´d have nothing. If the demonrats had morals or any survival instinct at all, they would force Smidgen to resign.

This feels like 1998 all over again. If the demonrats had convicted Clinton they probably would have had at least 6 years of Gore. Instead they got 8 years of President Bush. This time they would get 2 years of Biden and then, most likely, at least 4 years of Killary. (Does anyone think that she could not beat the pants off of Biden?). Instead, they will get obliterated this November and will very likely lose in 2016 as well. Things will only get worse and by 2016, the demonrat party may very well have imploded.

If Hillary had spoken because she put country before personal ambitions, then yes, I would thank her. But that is patently not the case. She held her silence for four years because she though it helped her career. Now she is speaking up precisely for that reason. Both the Clintons are and have always been risible, cringe inducing opportunists. This is more proof if it were needed.

Michael Goodwin voted for Obama in 2008. He has done a great job of atoning for that destructive deed. But, this article about Hillary worries me. Hillary Clinton would sell her own mother if helped her fulfill her ambition. And that´s what she is doing to Obama. For Goodwin to give her ANY credibility on her flip flop troubles me greatly. Her flip flop shows just how corrupt she really is. Why didn´t she resign her jet setting Secretary of State position if she felt Obama´s foreign policy was wrong? She is definitely PIAPS in broader ways than one.

Obama knows exactly what Hillary is going to say about him, and He is ok with it because it´s all part of the PLAN for Hillary to get out from under HER PAST as Sec of State and the Blunders she made there. Wouldn´t then have been a better time to complain about ill conceived policies than waiting until you´re preparing to jump into the presidential race after all the damage, with your help, has long been accomplished? It seems sort of ´gotta shed the image´ self serving and hypocritical doesn´t it? I hope this time, at this point, it does make a difference.

Everything Shrillery said is common knowledge among people with a couple of functioning brain cells. Obama has screwed up everything he has touched since day one, foreign relations being one of the worst and the most visible.

If HRC had said this two years ago and resigned the SecState position in protest, she might have earned a little respect but now that obama is the skunk at the yard party, she has nothing to lose (except maybe her life when her brakes fail) and everything to gain by pinning the tail on the kenyan donkey.

The first objective of these "progressive" Democrat politicians is to attain and keep political power. To them the end justifies the means. That´s what Hillary Clinton is attempting to do now by separating herself from Obama´s failed and very liberal policies. If Clinton gets the nomination, watch as towards the end when the media will fraudulently make her look more conservative then whoever her Republican turns out to be.

Obama understands that and he will continue to support Clinton at least until an Obama clone, and there are some out there, steps forward. If that happens Obama will switch his allegiance to that clone. Ted Kennedy understood that to win general elections the Democrats need a big Black vote, so if a viable very liberal Black candidate steps up, watch as Obama supports that candidate over both Biden and Clinton.

FTA: Clinton’s comments to The Atlantic magazine give security-minded Democrats permission to break ranks with the White House. Good God, they are free at last.

Seriously? Come on Goodwin, there aren´t any security-minded Democrats. Clinton is merely shifting to the "center" so she allegedly has more appeal and the media will help her along. She was neck deep in the disasters of the Obama foreign policy and now you expect us to believe this is a major shift? They insult our intelligence.

Clinton is being guided by the master of politics the old horn dog. She will pretend to be anything in order to get elected then veer back to her true radical roots if she in fact did get elected. She is just a female version of Obama.

Obama was the liberal´s liberal, and they got exactly what they asked for. In spite of all the problems liberals have with Obama, the will vote for a liberal again. It can´t be the policy so it must be the messenger. The Obama gang complains, but nobody cares since they have to look forward to 2016. Obama has been well compensated so he has nothing to complain about. All his cronies will be picked up by other dems too.

Hillery is distancing herself from Obama in an attempt to get the moderate/independent vote. It could work since the typical voter these days is looking out for what is best for them rather than the country, and will sell their vote to the highest bidder.

Add in all the media bias, and voter fraud...don´t be surprised if this country elects another Democrat. If the Democrats lose, the Republican establishment will be sure to supply a liberal/moderate big government Republican when they buy the Republican primaries.

Arming ´moderates´: a cautionary tale

Not long ago, Washington considered arming and training rebels engaged in what would become a fierce civil war. Nations with an invested stake in the outcome discussed whether to support a perceived David against a corrupt Goliath in a strategically located region of the world. The consequences would have broad ramifications that would tip the scale in favor of one side. The issue wasn’t one of conviction. It was a matter of unanswered questions about an uncertain ally. The negotiations to which I refer could be mistaken as relating to arming the moderate Free Syrian Army against the oppressive regime of President Bashar

INDIANOLA, IOWA — Hillary Clinton is trapped in a bubble. She’s been guarded by the Secret Service since 1993. She hasn’t driven a car since 1996. When she shakes hands with voters _ as she did Sunday in Iowa _ she’s often separated from them by metal barriers. In some ways, Clinton is a prisoner of her own success. The Secret Service protection has been there since she became first lady in 1993, and it will follow her the rest of her life. In other ways, she has fed the sense that she is removed from the lives of everyday Americans, such

A poll released last week had some pretty bad news for congressional Democrats heading into the midterm elections. But buried in the poll numbers was a figure that just might constitute an even more important turning point. Respondents were asked: “On balance, do you feel that Obama’s presidency so far has been more of a success or more of a failure?” More than half, 52%, said “failure.” Only 42% said “success.” And it gets worse. Only 22% were “strongly” convinced Obama is a success, while 39% are strongly convinced he’s a failure. And the American people have pretty much made up

The network news programs gave Mrs. Clinton’s trip to Iowa the gushing, royal treatment on Sunday, repeating it again on Monday, as she appeared before a throng of cheering Democrats in Iowa, where her party’s first presidential nominating caucuses will be held. The coverage of her speech, which was loaded with empty platitudes and little else that was newsworthy, bordered on the worshipful. That she has the 2016 Democratic nomination virtually sewed up at this juncture tells us everything we need

The more violence that comes out of the Islamic world, the more that the Left insists Islam is a “religion of peace.” The rise of ISIS has inspired Western leaders to redouble their attempts at reeducation. Appointing themselves Islamic authorities, they declare that ISIS is “not Islamic.” These Western leaders are far more protective of Islam than their own historic religion. They are willing to subject Christianity to scrutiny for its supposedly reactionary teachings, even as they hold that the doctrines of Islam are flawless and beyond criticism. At Yale this week, student groups that typically sponsor critics of Christianity denounced the

Allegations that Hillary Clinton allies may have tried to shield the former secretary of State in the wake of the Benghazi terror attack are coming to the forefront ahead of the first public hearing of the special congressional committee probing the attack and its aftermath. Speaking with Fox News, Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., chairman of the select committee, on Tuesday made clear he eventually plans to call former acting CIA director Mike Morell to testify – alleging the former boss “intentionally scrubbed” the so-called talking points that were the basis for the administration’s flawed public narrative about the attack. Gowdy made clear

Obamacare—or at least the version of it that the president and his advisers currently think they can get away with putting into place—has been upending arrangements and reshuffling the deck in the health system since the beginning of the year. That’s when the new insurance rules, subsidies, and optional state Medicaid expansions went into effect. The law’s defenders say the changes that have been set in motion are irreversible, in large part because several million people are now covered by insurance plans sold through the exchanges, and a few million more are enrolled in Medicaid as a result of Obamacare.

No sooner did President Obama’s top general say he’d recommend sending American combat troops to Iraq if we need them to defeat ISIS than the White House tried to walk it back. On Tuesday, Gen. Martin Dempsey set off a classic inside-the-Beltway storm when he told the Senate Armed Services Committee that if airstrikes against the Islamic State failed to do the trick, “I would go back to the president and make the recommendation that may include the use of US military ground forces.” Excuse us, but what did people expect the chairman of the Joint Chiefs to say? That if the

A little while back, leaving the local “swimming hole” frequented by residents and summer tourists, I noticed a large group of dark-clad visitors sitting in a circle and solemnly keeping what appeared to be a meditative vigil. They had occupied a considerable space where others would normally pass on their way to one of the promontories leading to the river. They were obviously Muslims, probably an extended family, conspicuously observing the traditions of their native culture and, oblivious to their surroundings and the people who had to detour by an arduous route around them, preparing no doubt to face the

The Islamic State´s savagery has been condemned by countless people across the globe — even some members of Al Qaeda. A local commander of Jabhat al-Nusra, a branch of Al Qaeda operating in Syria, appealed to ISIS to release British hostage Alan Henning, 47, because he thought the taxi driver from Manchester truly came to Syria to help suffering Muslims, The Independent reported. The Al Qaeda member reportedly told his then-allies that abducting Henning was "wrong under Islamic law" and "counter-productive." U.S. filmmaker Bilal Abdul Kareem told the British paper that the exchange took place just four days after Henning was taken hostage

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) signaled on Sunday that Congress may hold hearings on the NFL’s handling of domestic abuse in light of the Ray Rice case, if the league does not “police” itself. “If the NFL doesn´t police themselves, then we will be looking more into it. We will -- I wouldn´t be surprised if we have hearings,” she said in an interview with CBS’s “Face the Nation.” Baltimore Ravens star Ray Rice was fired from the team and suspended indefinitely by the league after a video surfaced showing Rice punching his then-fiancee Janay Palmer in the face in an

Sarah Palin was photographed sweaty and make-up free as she ran errands around Anchorage, Alaska on Monday - marking the first time she´s been seen in public since a violent family fight this weekend. A fight allegedly broke out at a house party most of the Palin family was attending on Saturday night in south Anchorage, when daughter Willow´s ex-boyfriend Connor Cleary tried to get in a Hummer limousine after engaging in some unspecified ´questionable behavior´. Sarah´s eldest son Track left the fight with four broken ribs and husband Todd suffered a bloody nose. RealClearPolitics spoke with a source close to the

President Barack Obama has declined to attend a dedication ceremony in October for a new memorial honoring American veterans who have been disabled fighting for their country in wars, according to sources close to the event. The American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial (AVDLM), the first such memorial of its kind, is set to be dedicated during a ceremony on Oct. 5 near the National Mall in downtown Washington, D.C. However, Obama, who was first invited to attend the event in January, will not be among those in attendance, according to a source who is familiar with the situation. This

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said comparing Republican treatment of President Obama to how Democrats handled President George W. Bush is a false equivalence and that Democrats don’t bear culpability for the comparatively fewer number of bills being passed by Congress and signed into law. “Let me just say that any of this equivalence, both sides, this or that, no — we never treated President Bush the way they treat President Obama,” she said Monday on MSNBC. “It’s no use whining about it; we just have to get people out to vote” and make people aware there’s an election this

President Barack Obama unveiled his plan to tackle the Ebola crisis in West Africa on Tuesday, promising to do far more to tackle the deadly virus he said could result in "hundreds of thousands of people infected" without US intervention. "More than 2,400 men, women, and children are known to have died and we strongly suspect that the actual death toll is higher than that," Obama said in a speech at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta, Georgia. "Hospitals, clinics, and the few treatment centers that do exist have been completely overwhelmed." The president was particularly dire

Cat Stevens - also known as Yusuf Islam - is to perform a series of dates in the US for the first time since 1976. The musician, who converted to Islam in 1977 and put his career on hold, will play six concerts in December. The 66-year-old, who was inducted into the US Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year, is now known by his original stage name and Yusuf. He is best known for his 1971 recording of Christian hymn Morning Has Broken, a top 10 hit in both the UK and US. Stevens had a number of other hits during

Democrats are now (very slightly) favored to hold the Senate majority on Nov. 4, according to Election Lab, the Post´s statistical model of the 2014 midterm elections. Election Lab puts Democrats´ chances of retaining their majority at 51 percent -- a huge change from even a few months ago when the model predicted that Republicans had a better than 80 percent chance of winning the six seats they need to take control. (Worth noting: When the model showed Republicans as overwhelming favorites, our model builders -- led by George Washington University´s John Sides -- warned that the model could and

First Lady Michelle Obama has made healthy eating and exercise her signature issue. But, a recent study published by the Sage Journal found that her “elitist” advice actually “shames poor and middle class mothers.” The College Fix added that the study found that Michelle Obama’s healthy eating program is also sexist. It’s also sexist, the study’s authors suggest, noting that “intentionally or not, it places the burden of a healthy home-cooked meal on women.” Sage Journals published the study by North Carolina researchers Sarah Bowen, Sinikka Elliott and Joslyn Brenton. Here are a few of the findings: Magazines such as Good Housekeeping and

Washington - The current threat posed by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, will test not only the resolve and strategic judgment of America and its allies, but also our nation’s fidelity to a basic constitutional principle. Our Constitution reserves to Congress the power to declare war and designates our president as the commander in chief, but our recent history has been characterized by executive overreach and legislative abdication in the initiation of military action. The current crisis gives us an opportunity to restore the proper balance between the branches. America’s history since 2001 should compel us to fix the way

[Snip] ´A general from U.S. Army Africa, the Army component of U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), will lead this effort, which will involve an estimated 3,000 U.S. forces.´ Liberia is the hardest-hit of the four west African nations that have confirmed Ebola cases, accounting for more than one-half of the fatalities. The others are Sierra Leone, Guinea and, to a lesser extent, Nigeria.
