´Heroic´ mission rescues
desperate Yazidis from ISIS

CNN, by Dana Ford, Josh Levs

The face of 15-year-old Aziza says it all. Her mouth slightly agape, tears stream down her face as she glances around the inside of a helicopter with confusion in her eyes. She looks completely exhausted, overcome with emotion. She cries the whole flight to safety. The Iraqi air force and fighters with the Kurdish peshmerga carried out a dramatic rescue mission Monday at Mount Sinjar, taking supplies to desperate Yazidis and ferrying a handful of people out, including Aziza. (snip) A CNN crew was on the flight that took diapers, milk, water and food to the site where thousands of

I want to thank the liberals for the betrayals and tragedies in Iraq. I want to thank my local newspaper and other MSM who put the body count daily, front and center, while President Bush was in office. Amazingly, it vanished the day Obama was inaugurated, rarely to be mentioned again. Not that the toll was not to be recognized and respected but it was used to manipulate Americans that the Iraq war was a disaster and we were there for no reason. So, liberals, not that you will, but look at that young girl, whose life is destroyed now, multiply it by the tens of thousands and blame yourselves.

#1, they were quoting a reporter who was on the flight, who could characterize the mission firsthand - fta: CNN´s Ivan Watson, who was on the chopper, described the mission as "heroic."

If CNN hadn´t taken up space on the helicopter, more Yazidis could have been rescued. I guess CNN ´heroics´ trumps common sense.

Thanks #5. Lives were likely lost due to so-called CNN crew taking up extremely precious space on what was merely a helicopter. Hundreds of thousands of Yazidis needed to be rescued.

As much as I despise CNN, I have to commend the CNN reporter. It was heroic going there and bringing back the video. How else would we know what is really going on in Iraq? I commend the helicopter crews for their bravery. #4 and 5 would YOU go over there? Would YOU get in that helicopter? We condemn CNN for it´s lack of journalism, we need to commend these reporters for their journalism. If not for them how would we be able to see what is really happening over there?

Tears. This is what heroism looks like. It doesn´t think of itself first. It reacts from a place deep within itself that instinctively sees pain and grasps toward it, offering relief.

I am so very proud of these people and I mourn the loss of such heroism on the part of our elected officials who still believe that peace can be had by talking to those who want to kill us.

OPEN LETTER TO ADMINISTRATION: Watch this video and compare these rescuers to the present attitude from the halls of Congress. These are PEOPLE, not votes. The rescuers gained nothing. The rescued gained everything. Take a lesson.

American needs to catch up on true history. Are not American politicians of both parties getting really cozy with all the communist governments in the world and have been since the Viet Nam conflict that democrats got America involved without a winning agenda. Cost over 55,000 dead and 100´s of thousands injured.

Was it not a democrat controlled congress that cut off all funding of the Viet Nam government leaving them with no funds with which to purchase ammunition and weapons to defend themselves with after having told the Viet Nam people they would help them defeat the communists from the north?

And is it not the policy of the American government (both political parties) today of total support for the UN agenda 21, One World Government with communism as the controlling power?

Catch up on true history instead of the fairy tales of the Marxist communists in control of most government, education, financial, anti Christian, immoral brainwashing of today´s youth and adult´s who have weak minds.

My first reaction was along the lines of #5&6. I didn´t need to see the footage, I can pretty well figure out what 40,000 dying people fleeing savagery looks like, but if the reporting brings a critical mass around to call for action then those sacrificed seats on the helicopter may save countless lives.

So here is the question:

Were the Iraqis better off under Sadam - who was a malicious, dangerous and perverse tyrannt or are they now better of with violent and incredibly insane ISIS?

If the US was not going to stay there to hold the peace - we probably should not have gone in.

But we did - so it is inhumane and incredibly stupid to pull out - oh incredibly stupid and Obama are the same words.

Sorry for my redundancy.

Of course I am not against such needed missions of mercy. But I want to clarify that the Yazidis are not Christian. Theirs is an ancient religious blend of Islam, Christianity, and Zoroastrianism. They worship 7 angels and one in particular, the Peacock Angel, was said to have fallen from grace but was forgiven and restored by God. This has led to people inaccurately labeling them as devil-worshipers. Yet their faith distinctly does not claim Abraham as a father, nor do they allow converts into their faith. Christians can show the love of Christ in their dealings with the Yazidi, but the Yazidi are not Christians.
