Would We Rally Behind
Obama after the Next 9/11?

National Journal, by Ron Fournier

Original Article

August 11, 2014 Thirteen years ago this month, President George W. Bush was vacationing at his Texas ranch when his daily briefing included a memo titled, "Bin Laden Determined to Strike in the U.S." Al-Qaida struck a month later, and the nation was at war. No memos are needed today. ISIS is communicating directly to President Obama via the Internet and social media. "The Islamic Caliphate has been established," the spokesman, Abu Mosa, said Friday, vowing to "raise the flag of Allah in the White House." After dismissing ISIS as al-Qaida´s "JV" team last fall, the president has awakened to

Comments:
I really hate even thinking about it, but I can´t see it. He and the Democrats have been so extremely divisive. Obama and his regime would have helped in causing such an attack because of their lack of concern and willful ignorance of the march of terrorism all over the world. He has lied continuously about it just so he could get re-elected and look good politically.

Rallying behind POTUS following an attack implies trust.

I do not trust this pResident, this Poser, this Destroyer, this Emperor, this modern day Nero.

Impeach, remove, and then hopefully trust his successor. This is one horse that you would have to change in the middle of the stream, as FDR´s campaign staff would put it.

Yes, even "crazy" Joe. He may or may not be crazy, but at least he is not a traitor.

No.
He has "stood with the Muslims" and their terrorists arms like Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood which is why Mideast is in flames.
The traitor within is more dangerous than any enemy.
Thankfully, his plans failed in Eqypt and he is exposed as the enemy within.
Hilary has Amb. Stevens, Ty Woods, Sean Smiths and Glen Doherty´s blood on her cloven hooves.
Hilary cannot wash their blood off her hooves any more than Obama can lead a Judeo Chistian nation.

No, because HE would "rally" behind the enemy...unless of course, the perps were the Tim McVeigh type. I still will NEVER forget BJ Klinton actually admitting he was praying OKc wasn´t a "terrorist" attack. In his demented mind, it´s much easier to blame Americans first, just like our Muslim in chief.

Impossible to stand behind a person "who leads from behind". By definition the coward would always be hiding. I have no doubt there will be no such attack because they don´t want to interfere while Obama is doing it for them.

Would We Rally Behind Obama after the Next 9/11?

Depends which side he takes, or if he takes a side instead of trying to stand in the middle.

It´s better to ask would we rally behind the United States of America.

Some seemed to think 9/11 was "our fault" and that we "got what we deserved" - that "our chickens were coming home to roost". I can´t stand with that.

*If* #13´s condition was met, I still doubt we would ´rally´ behind him.
First I do not believe he will attempt to ´rally´ us.
Second, I do not believe he will make any initial decision on ANY matter until he has stuck his finger in the air and askd ValJar what to do.
Last, We as a people WILL rally, we will gather and stand as a force. Who will be the point ´man´? I dunno..It might be a Joe the Plumber type, it might be a local Police Chief, I might be the rememberance of a victim.
We will rally.

It would not initially be presented as rallying behind Obama instead it would be rallying behind America. All of Congress both democrat and republican would be calling for action (until politics come into play and politicians are against after they were for). The real question is would we rally behind this leadership from both parties. The answer will be yes because it is an attack on American soil. The execution and outcome is what is in doubt and where the uncertainty lies.

While more famous for his anti-war activities as a founder of the Weather Underground in the 1960s and ‘70s, he is now a committed educator. In early June 1964, a group of Republican governors sought to wrestle control of their party from Barry Goldwater, the Arizona conservative who was about to lead the GOP to one of the most crushing defeats in its history. The governors saw a disaster in the making, and sought a moderate candidate who could capture the imaginations of grassroots Republicans—but also beat President Lyndon Johnson in the general election. Led by Ohio’s James Rhodes—the Republican Governors Association was meeting in Cleveland, and Rhodes was a legendary vote counter—the group included Pennsylvania’s William Scranton and later New York’s Nelson Rockefeller. It was once said, “religion is designed to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable.” Jesus’ parables – short stories with moral lessons – were likewise designed to afflict, to draw us in but leave us uncomfortable. These teachings can be read as being about divine love and salvation, sure. But, their first listeners – first century Jews in Galilee and Judea – heard much more challenging messages. Only when we hear the parables as Jesus’ own audience did can we fully experience their power and find ourselves surprised and challenged today. Here are four examples of Jesus’ teachings that everybody gets wrong: 1.

I know a lot of people are giddy at the prospect of Republicans taking the Senate this November, but that’s becoming less and less likely. It’s not because Democrats are rallying around a particular mission or set of candidates; it’s because Republicans and conservatives aren’t. It seems like I’m always writing on issues no one wants to hear are mistakes, such as messaging or social issues. But I don’t care. These things have to be said. If these columns are received like a gaseous cousin on a long car trip through the desert, so be it. Crack a window… If things continue on their current course, the GOP will not retake the Senate.

Washington - The Secret Service is coming under intense scrutiny after a man who hopped the White House fence made it all the way through the front door before being apprehended. President Barack Obama and his daughters had just departed the White House on Friday evening when an intruder scaled the north fence, darted across the lawn and into the presidential residence, where agents nabbed him. The security breach triggered a rare evacuation of much of the White House, with Secret Service officers drawing their guns as they rushed staffers and journalists out a side door.
