Progressives warn Hillary Clinton
to tow the anti-intervention line

Washington Times, by Cheryl K. Chumley

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton may have scored a few points with her followers for blasting President Obama’s foreign policy mantra — summed up in the White House catchphrase of “don’t do stupid stuff” — but progressives aren’t amused. A handful of them have responded to her critical interview that hit at Mr. Obama in The Atlantic with a few sobering words of warning for her: Be careful at voting time, Politico reported. “She basically seems to be taking positions that are very similar to the vision of America’s role in the world that [in 2008] Democrats rejected,” said Michael Cohen,

The Civil War in the Democrat Party is moving out into the open. Obama and the Clintons hate each other and they won´t be able to contain it. The first shots are happening now.

Anyone ignorant enough to use the expression: "tow the [anti-intervention] line" instead of "toe the line" in the title will not get my time or attention in reading the article.

The expression is "TOE the line..." as in line up with... "don´te get out of line" etc. That sort ofignorance of simple English drives me nuts. And says a lot (that´s TWO words, by the way) about the writer.

Proper editing is a dying field of endeavor. What happened to the teaching of proper English? And why are demi-literates employed as journalists or editors?

A Milwaukee teen charged in a string of armed robberies last week told police he was trying to do as many crimes as he could before he turned 18 on Sept. 11. Rocarldo Chalmers is one of five suspects charged Wednesday in a dizzying spree of armed stick-ups and car jackings that only ended after a high speed chase. Chalmers faces 10 felonies, including armed robbery, car theft and fleeing. Isiah Deshawn Thomas, 18, is charged with five counts, Anthony Griffis, 17, with two. Two juveniles were also arrested and as many as three other suspects remain at large. According to the complaint: Things

Ready for Hillary? Not so fast. Zephyr Teachout, fresh off her strong second-place showing in the Democratic primary against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, pleaded for more Democratic candidates to challenge the presumed 2016 frontrunner. “Please, we need people to run against Hillary Clinton because if she’s not debating anyone on education policy or on tax policy then we all lose,” she told MSNBC’s Krystal Ball on Wednesday. “Not only does she need a challenger from the left, we should have 5 people—10 people—running for president,” she argued. “If we don’t have a Democratic Party challenger, that is a democratic tragedy.”

Executive: Obamacare Is Shifting

Given the massive effort behind convincing us that Obamacare is a resounding success, it’s almost surprising that a recent NBC News/Wall Street Journal Poll found support languishing at 34%. Part of the problem is the credibility Obamacare supporters lose by attempting to prove two questionable propositions. First, that Obamacare is having a positive impact on our health care system and, second, that it’s doing so without any negative impact on our economy. For example, a recent report by the Urban Institute and Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, both Obamacare supporters, found “little evidence” that Obamacare’s employer mandate is affecting part time employment.

Yesterday, former Vice President Al Gore presented his fourth annual ‘24 Hours of Reality.’ Broadcast to millions of people, the event is “dedicated to sparking action on climate change.” As with most Gore productions, only carefully pre-screened questions are allowed from journalists. Considering what’s at stake—billions of dollars, millions of jobs, and, if Gore is right, the fate of the global environment—that is not good enough. Reporters must be encouraged to ask any questions they like. Several leading climate experts were asked what question they would most like media to ask Gore in a public forum. Here are 10 of their responses: William

Even we were shocked when we researched our new book, “Obama’s Enforcer: Eric Holder’s Justice Department,” at the extent to which Attorney General Eric Holder Jr. has politicized the Justice Department and put the interests of left-wing ideology and his political party ahead of the fair and impartial administration of justice. However, there is no doubt that the American public has also recognized just how politically corrupt Mr. Holder is, given this month’s very embarrassing poll conducted by Hart Research for NBC News and The Wall Street Journal. The poll asked respondents their opinions about 10 different national political officials, ranging

Tuesday´s stunning news that PreferredOne, which enrolled 59% of the state´s exchange members, won´t offer subsidized ObamaCare policies in 2015 is likely related to another unique feature of the exchange that has stunted its growth potential. In 2015, well more than half of MNsure exchange subsidies won´t go to insurers on the exchange, but to a public program serving households that fall between the cut-off for Medicaid and 200% of the poverty level. The students association called on the Buckley Program leaders to have another voice on stage to counter Hirsi Ali’s views. The Buckley leaders

First Lady Michelle Obama has made healthy eating and exercise her signature issue. But, a recent study published by the Sage Journal found that her “elitist” advice actually “shames poor and middle class mothers.” The College Fix added that the study found that Michelle Obama’s healthy eating program is also sexist. It’s also sexist, the study’s authors suggest, noting that “intentionally or not, it places the burden of a healthy home-cooked meal on women.” Sage Journals published the study by North Carolina researchers Sarah Bowen, Sinikka Elliott and Joslyn Brenton. Washington - The current threat posed by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, will test not only the resolve and strategic judgment of America and its allies, but also our nation’s fidelity to a basic constitutional principle. Our Constitution reserves to Congress the power to declare war and designates our president as the commander in chief, but our recent history has been characterized by executive overreach and legislative abdication in the initiation of military action. The current crisis gives us an opportunity to restore the proper balance between the branches. America’s history since 2001 should compel us to fix the way
