Press Shunned from Obama’s 400th
Fundraiser Charged to Taxpayers

Mediaite, by Joe Concha

Original Article

Posted By:JoniTx, 8/11/2014 3:59:45 PM

As we celebrate President Barack Obama’s 400th fundraiser since taking office five-and-a-half years ago, it should be noted that of all the thousands of people who have attended, one group has been barred from ever entering the events: The press. Now, fundraisers can be a dicey place for the media to be. You (almost) never know what kinds of things are said in what is supposed to be behind closed doors — just ask Mitt Romney. To that end, our current president — who greatly benefited from that infamous Romney recording — has barred the press from all fundraising events.

But the taxpayers still provide the transportation for these democrat fundraising events. . . .

I had an acquaintance compare the number of vacations that W took compared to Obomb at this point in their presidencies. I told him that for one W almost always went to his Texas ranch and if he wanted to compare, how about the number of golf games and fundraisers each had done to this point. Hands down, Obomb wins.

Think it should be outlawed. Charge the Demorats the cost of the POS in chief showing up. Only fair.

If it isn´t open to the press, it´s party business and should be aid for by the Democrat Party. Good luck getting that passed.

Will taxpayers sue to get the money back ?
Will the GOP complain ? No.

People do because they can and usually they get away with it. The man (and his wife) doesn´t even try to hide it.

Military gets ´sensitive´ under Obama

The military is growing more “sensitive” under the Obama administration, Pentagon observers say, by relaxing long-standing restrictions on soldiers’ religious and personal liberties. The efforts by the Defense Department to adapt to cultural change go beyond the moves to end the controversial “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy and allow women in combat. In recent weeks, the Pentagon has backed off controversial hairstyle regulations that critics said discriminated against black women and made the phrase “so help me god” optional in the oath for airmen. Earlier this year, the military loosened its rules for soldiers who want to wear turbans or

First Lady Michelle Obama figured now was as good a time as any to visit some sick children. Not the ones on breathing tubes suffering from Enterovirus 68, mind you, but non-contagious patients at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. After admitting that she dislikes “selfies” but agreeing to be part of an “ussie,” and after discussing flying her dogs around on Air Force One, the first lady became painfully honest. So much so that she even complained to youngsters battling childhood cancers about the misery of living in the White House and being married to a guy

WASHINGTON – A look at four Americans who became jihadis, and what motivated them to fight: Moner Mohammad Abusalha, who liked to cuddle cats, blew himself up in May in Syria. He was the first American suicide bomber in that civil war. Abusalha, 22, was a community college student who grew up playing basketball in Vero Beach, Florida. But Abusalha, the son of a Palestinian father and Italian-American mother, became increasingly consumed with religious fervor. He said he was influenced by a close, radical friend, according to a video he made before he killed himself and 16 others while fighting

The sea of red is already quite a spectacle in itself, but today´s addition of the Pearly Kings and Queens made for an astonishing sight. The ´Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red´ project by artist Paul Cummins is seeing 888,246 poppies planted in the Tower of London moat. The last ceramic poppy will be planted on November 11. Each poppy represents a British or Colonial fatality in the First World War. One of America’s most patriotic beers has defected. A Russian company has purchased Pabst Blue Ribbon, an iconic brew that’s been in production in the U.S. since 1844. New York aficionados of the beer — traditionally sold with a red-white-and-blue label — said “nyet” to the news when it was announced Friday. “I don’t think I will ever f-----g drink another Pabst Blue Ribbon in my entire life,” said construction worker Danny Kelly, 34. “That is an American company, it is an American beer for God knows how many years and now it’s going over to Russia. I will boycott it,”

Scott Pelley: Were you confident in that moment that pulling out was the right thing to do? Leon Panetta: No, I wasn’t. I really, I really thought that it was important for us to maintain a presence in Iraq. But, Barack Obama overruled Panetta and withdrew all troops from Iraq in 2012 – one of the biggest foreign policy errors in US history. Via Special Report: (Video)

Eight Russian aircraft and refueling tankers were intercepted by U.S. and Canadian fighter jets off the coast of Alaska this week, officials said. Maj. Beth Smith, a spokeswoman with the North American Aerospace Defense Command, known as NORAD, said the Russian craft were likely involved in "training exercises" when they were noticed on the night of Sept. 17 and the morning of Sept. 18. The craft did not enter United States or Canadian airspace, but were located in an Air Defense Identification Zone that sits roughly 200 miles from the Alaskan coast, Smith said. LINCOLN, Neb.— U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts expressed concern Friday about growing partisanship in the judicial confirmation process and a public perception that politics factor into the court´s rulings. Roberts told an audience at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Law that the partisan atmosphere in Washington would make it unlikely for justices such as Antonin Scalia, widely viewed as a conservative, or Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who is seen as liberal, to win confirmation today. He pointed to the most recent U.S. Senate confirmation of Justice Elena Kagan in 2010, which fell largely on party lines. Roberts said

Flashes of disagreement over how to fight the Islamic State are mounting between President Obama and U.S. military leaders, the latest sign of strain in what often has been an awkward and uneasy relationship. Devastating. That´s really the only way to describe Politico´s piece on DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. (I hereby nominate her for Worst Week in Washington.) (Editor´s note: Three words -- Joseph. Robinette. Biden.) Based on interviews with DNC staffers -- both former and current -- the piece described Wasserman Schultz as something of a modern-day Tracy Flick: over-eager, disloyal and not shy about promoting her ambitions. While enteroviruses in general are quite common, this particular strain — enterovirus 68 — has not cropped up terribly often since it was first identified in 1962. The U.S. military campaign against Islamist militants in Syria is being designed to allow President Barack Obama to exert a high degree of personal control, going so far as to require that the military obtain presidential signoff for strikes in Syrian territory, officials said. The requirements for strikes in Syria against the extremist group Islamic State will be far more stringent than those targeting
