War on golf: Obama is escorted

he enjoys second day on the

As conflict continued in Iraq, President Barack Obama waged a different kind of war during his vacation at Martha´s Vineyard - on the golf course. Obama was escorted to the Farm Neck Golf Club, in Oak Bluffs, Massachusetts, by a huge motorcade, which included a SWAT team and two snipers who peered out of an open trunk. Sporting a United States Secret Service baseball cap, Obama seemed reasonably relaxed despite the hefty protection, laughing and chatting with his golfing buddies in between holes. Obama fled Washington for his family´s familiar vacation spot yesterday for a two-week summer break. Moments before

Time to roast him with these comments. He gave Bush hell for this same thought process.

FTA - ´I’m not going to give a particular timetable, because as I´ve said from the start, wherever and whenever U.S. personnel and facilities are threatened, it´s my obligation, my responsibility as Commander-in-Chief, to make sure that they are protected,´ Obama said.
´I don´t think we are going to solve this problem in weeks,´ the President said, noting that rebuilding Iraq ´is going to be a long-term project.´

Snipers required to demonstrate that no amount of criticism will deter brave Obama from playing golf on ultra posh MV. Snipers´ bullets have "I won" and the O logo engraved on them to show the world that Obama is not afraid of his critics. Since leftist groups like Code Pink, Occupy, the NY Times, CBS, WaPo and NBC are part of Obama´s militia, he only has to have his snipers focus on Charles Krauthammer and others on FNC in order to safely complete 18 holes of golf each day.

Missing is the younger daughter - thought this was a family vacation, even though O runs to a golf course every day.

PYONGYANG, North Korea - North Korea´s Supreme Court on Sunday sentenced Matthew Miller, a U.S. citizen, to six years of hard labor for entering the country illegally and trying to commit espionage. At a trial that lasted about 90 minutes, the court said Miller, 24, of Bakersfield, California, tore up his tourist visa at Pyongyang´s airport upon arrival on April 10 and admitted to having the "wild ambition" of experiencing prison life so that he could secretly investigate the North Korean human rights situation. Miller, who waived the right to a lawyer, was handcuffed and led from the courtroom after

Earlier this month, President Obama decided to throw in a good word for our NATO friends in the Baltics, in the event that Russia is tempted to try out its invasion shtick on another former Soviet satellite. “We’ll be here for Estonia,” he avowed from that nation’s capital. “We will be here for Latvia. We will be here for Lithuania. You lost your independence once before. With NATO, you will never lose it again.” Vladimir Putin lost no time in leaping over that red line by crossing the Estonian border and abducting a security official once Obama had hardly left

The New York Times is going after the Koch Brothers once again. No news there, of course. But it’s worth noting that the Times has found a new angle to pursue—or should we say, a new club with which to cudgel the Kochs—namely, the legal curlicues of campaign finance. Liberals, no doubt, will be cheering for the Times, but they ought to be careful, because two can play at this game. Conservatives have long decried the left’s drive to “criminalize” politics as a means to achieve ideological ends. KABUL, Afghanistan — To find a flag as big as the one hoisted over Kabul’s historic Wazir Akbar Khan hill on Wednesday, you would have to go pretty far — possibly as far as a Walmart parking lot somewhere in the Great Plains. Flying from a specially erected flagpole more than 200 feet high — taller than the Statue of Liberty replica in Las Vegas — the black, red and green flag, at 97 by 65 feet, is big enough to drape over a Dreadnoughtus dinosaur (tail included). It is hundreds of square yards bigger than any other known Afghan

WASHINGTON — Democrats have reversed the partisan imbalance on the federal appeals courts that long favored conservatives, a little-noticed shift with far-reaching consequences for the law and President Obama’s legacy. For the first time in more than a decade, judges appointed by Democratic presidents considerably outnumber judges appointed by Republican presidents. The Democrats’ advantage has only grown since late last year when they stripped Republicans of their ability to filibuster the president’s nominees. Democratic appointees who hear cases full time now hold a majority of seats on nine of the 13 United States Courts of Appeals. When Mr. Obama took

Abousamra posts beheading videos to the Internet, and promotes them on social media. He’s one of the FBI’s most wanted. One of the messages between Mehanna and Abousamra was a 2008 poem written by

The Islamic State has released a video claiming to show the beheading of British captive David Haines. The father-of-two, an aid worker, was abducted by militants in Syria last year. He appeared at the end of a video showing the beheading of US journalist Steven Sotloff earlier this month. In the video, which has been posted on sites such as YouTube, the extremists also threaten to execute another Briton. Islamic State (IS) extremists had threatened to kill Mr Haines and have not responded to any of the family´s attempts to make contact so far, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) said.

Voter turnout during last month´s primary races was a little too good in some counties, Arizona elections officials said Friday. Some precincts in northern Arizona tallied more ballots cast than there are registered voters, the Arizona Capitol Times reported. According to officials, errors made by poll workers and elections officials in Apache and Navajo counties led to the miscalculations. Initial reports from some precincts showed a turnout of anywhere from 200 to 400 percent. In Apache County, the Puerco West precinct reportedly had 100 votes cast, but only 23 voters are registered there. The voter turnout added up to 434
