A ringside seat to our own destruction
PJ Media, by Richard Fernandez

Headlines have focused on the atrocities committed by ISIS on the northern Iraqi front. (Snip) The story adds, almost superfluously, that ISIS is attempting to shoot down aid deliveries. They would do that, wouldn’t they? Yet all this time the world was assured there was nothing to worry about in the hundreds of radical mosques, the thousands of militants eagerly received into the West and creeping sharia law in its institutions. The dangers, they were told, all lay in the Tea Party and elusive militia groups holed up in a cabin in the Ozarks. But if the calamities in Iraq

The "Islamic State" barbarians ought to be killed down the to the last one, and publicly promised that their dead warriors will be buried in the rocks, face down, in pig skins. Pork and pork byproducts should be used liberally on these Stone Age savages. Especially that al-Baghdadi creature with the gold Rolex. That´s one variety of liberalism I´m all for!

FTA: The Middle Eastern crisis is no longer a regional crisis. It has now become part of a global crisis, a link in a great chain of blunders engineered by the Great Golfer, whose most profound utterance is now, ‘who me?’

Paraphrasing Hemingway´s remark about how bankruptcy happens--little by little than all of a sudden--one might say that this is how the Won´s world ends as he golfs and parties with his NBA/centimillionaire rapper cadre. None of it´s his fault, so party hardy!

FTA: The Western left has finally manufactured a world that it likes, led by the object of their adulation. How could they have known it would be this way? They are like the dog that caught the car and found the occupants liked dog meat.

This Administration with its support group of fellow Democrats and the lumpen media establishment is screwing up human civilization. What will it take to rid us of these people now? Does Obama care about anything but his own pleasure?

We ought to make it known that every Humvee and tank they´ve stolen contains pig parts, and every bullet is coated in pigs blood.

One of the things I have always wondered about is why we took such great pains to protect the "dignity" of Osama bin Laden.

No(public)pictures and "burial at sea."

I always thought that if it were made known that a pigskin wrap with the corpse laid on its left side with the feet towards the Qiblah would be their fate, it might be a slow them down.

Until western feminists, as radical leftists, face and react appropriately to the reality of the horrors they so aggressively support, they should be shouted down and shamed in the public square whenever they dare to speak out about their selfish, self-centered and unsupportable views on any topic.

The slaughtered, raped, widowed and inhumanly persecuted women of muzzworld, to the silence of western wommyn of either gender, means they have zero credibility.

I read several months ago that Vaclav Havel, like Sir Michael Howard, also said that there is no moral leadership in the world, and I include my Pope Francis. With all the contact Havel had with Pope John Paul, I think his statement quite revealing.

Just recently, Pope Francis gave his eleventh interview, and it was entitled, "Ten Ways To Be Happy" - the first suggestion was to "Live and Let Live".

Somehow I cannot imagine Pope John Paul giving the same type of light interview when the world is collapsing, and "Live and Let Live" - not John Paul - JP believed in absolutes.

Richard Fernandez is one of the great writers of our time (up there with Victor Davis Hansen, Thomas Sowell, etc.) and he sums up the situation, if bleakly, rather eloquently.

And after reading Zero´s comments to Thomas Friedman, I am convinced the sharks and wolves of the world know exactly who and what they are dealing with. Yes, as Fernandez says it best, Zero is now shown himself to be the "Who me?" president, or the Alfred E. Newman president, "What, me worry?" Clueless and incurious! God have mercy - we, and the world need it.

Zero has certainly destroyed everything he has touched, and no doubt that the Mideast is in shambles. That said, if these barbaric Muslim animals get serious about attacking here in the states, they will be made into mincemeat by just the armed civilians, without even considering what the actual US military would do to them.

So - the requiem for world stability is real, but not yet meaningful for us at home. Let us pray that at some point we actually recognize them as the enemy and start taking them out, without quarter, anywhere they stand.

I´m completely with you on that OP. I came to say essentially the same thing.

The muslim religion must be stomped out, whatever it takes. We´re heading to a time like the world has never known, otherwise. The book of Revelation, for those that pay attention to that, describes it. The animal, radical muslims will bring destruction to our entire world and the moderate muslims will sit peacefully by saying "not me, not me" ANY adherent to this demonic religion is going to have to go. Back to their nest in the middle east at the least, to hell otherwise.

A decade after welcoming

CALUMET, Okla. — A decade ago, states offered wind-energy developers an open-armed embrace, envisioning a bright future for an industry that would offer cheap electricity, new jobs and steady income for large landowners, especially in rural areas with few other economic prospects. To ensure the opportunity didn´t slip away, lawmakers promised little or no regulation and generous tax breaks. But now that wind turbines stand tall across many parts of the nation´s windy heartland, some leaders in Oklahoma and other states fear their efforts succeeded too well, attracting an industry that gobbles up huge subsidies,

Doctors in Florida and across the country are protesting against the government’s intrusion into health care, but we aren’t voicing our concerns using bullhorns and pickets. Instead, many of the state’s 50,000 physicians are protesting silently through their practice decisions. Having graduated from medical school 28 years ago, I have witnessed firsthand the transformation of our country’s health care system. Then, medical practice focused more on the deeply personal decisions made between doctor and patient. Today, bureaucrats are inserting themselves ever deeper into every aspect of health care. Physicians across the country are responding to this evolution — and most

The Trouble with Armor

There’s a famous picture from the Liberian civil war showing a militiaman geared up with “body armor”. The militiaman’s body armor is actually a flotation device or life jacket. But it sort of looks like body armor and he may think it’s going to work. It may give him some psychological protection, but the life jacket is of doubtful ballistic worth. The proof of any defensive system is whether it actually works. In the case of body armor, it is whether the gear stops projectiles of a certain type. In the case of defenses against disease, the test is whether

News that Ebola has arrived in the United States from Liberia and that many people may have already been exposed to the disease was yet one more reminder that “they” cannot completely protect everyone. There was always the chance it would arrive. By plane, or over open border — but somewhow. The spread of the disease has been modeled by the CDC as a Markov chain which measures the probability of going from one state to the other. There was always a joint probability that someone from an Ebola zone could make their way across a series of paths to

Was it 1990? 1992? “It was considered normal,” said Ed Lally, vice president of the festival board, who has attended every year since the festival started in 1989. “We expected it to happen sooner or later, so it didn’t stand out even then.” Today, though, normal has changed. The festival kicks off its 25th year at 6 p.m. Friday with a street party at Tampa Theatre

Pushing a boulder up the side of a mountain would have seemed like a good cardio workout for Sisyphus compared to the effort it takes to get voters to approve a tax increase these days. When that includes funding for something spelled r-a-i-l, well, we talk about something with a more realistic chance of happening — say, an invasion of little green body-snatchers from Mars. Yet, that is the task supporters of Greenlight Pinellas have undertaken.
