WASHINGTON— The White House says President Barack Obama will deliver a statement Saturday on the situation in Iraq. Obama is scheduled to make remarks at the White House at 10:25 a.m. (1425 GMT) before he leaves for vacation in Massachusetts. Obama announced late Thursday that he had ordered military airstrikes in northern Iraq to hold off Islamic State forces advancing on the Kurdish capital of Irbil. Obama also ordered airdrops of food and water to members of a religious minority group who fled into the mountains to escape the militants. U.S. military jets launched several airstrikes Friday on isolated targets,

If the New Yorker magazine had a true sense of humor rather than Democratic meanness, it would run a cover of the black clad ISIS murderers wearing Laker jersey´s with Kobe Bryant´s & number. Would capture the truly dangerous remark made by Muslim Bro Obama when he made his ISIS as jayvee terrorists comments to this liberal weekly

Perhaps Obama will be standing beside Kobe when he reads his TelePrompTer supplied remarks today. One thing is certain, Obama will not utter the word Christian when he speaks about the death and torture in Iraq, Syria, Libya, Egypt and Nigeria.

Is this the same Obama who opposed Bush when he wanted to protect the Iraqi people from Saddam Hussain who had already killed thousands of his own people with deadly gas? Wasn´t that genocide? The Press attacked Bush for saying that British Intelligence had said that Saddam had WMD´s. They are giving Barrack a pass again.

It´s very embarrassing to have a president that has serious responsibilities address the nation before jetting off to vacation, or as he did last week, from the WH dining room, after a sumptuous meal and cleaning his teeth, and before jogging upstairs to watch a bball game.

He just set me straight. It was the fault of Bush and Iraq that he pulled out of Iraq. It had nothing to do with him and he is amazed that people keep questioning him about why we left. Of course they are just trying to cover for failures of the previous administration. Whew. Now he can go on his so well deserved vacation.

#3, my choice for the New Yorker cover would be the one they ran showing Barack in the White House and Michelle with the AK-47 and the fro, but this time with the ISIS guys in Laker jerseys practicing dunks near the door.

THAT is the perfect statement on the current situation in Iraq.

BHO spent several years taking complete credit for "ending the war in Iraq." Now that it´s falling apart, it´s Bush´s fault for negotiating the pullout.

Every time we get a Democrat in the White House, we have to lower our standards to accommodate them.

I listened to the entire, agonizing speech. One woman reporter asked him what his intentions were as to Isis. Did he intend to destroy them? He never answered that question although he said about 2000 words. He never said he would send the Kurds some ammunition, which they are almost out of. He said repeatedly that nothing could be accomplished until the Iraq government is reorganized. They still lack a Prime minister. He was fixated on the formation of its government and that everything depended on the government´s completion and what it did thereafter, namely reconciling Sunnis with Shites. One would think there were years in which to make these adjustments. I suppose that is just an excuse for doing nothing. Shortly the people on the mountain will die off and if there are any left they will be slaughtered, The Kurds will be overrun and killed. But he has had bombs dropped near the street where our diplomats and the 400 advisors he sent there happen to be so all is well. He is protecting Americans.

Just when you thought you knew all the consequences of the Ebola pandemic, here’s another one: it could affect the supply of chocolate. Of course that doesn’t rise to the seriousness of illness and death, but it does show how much Ebola affects trade and production. An estimated 70% of the world’s cocoa beans come from the West African countries of Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria and Cameroon. Ivory Coast is the world’s largest producer, exporting 37.8% of the world’s cocoa, according to the Wall Street Journal. (In fact, Ivory Coast just posted a record harvest and the government increased its

The Obama administration found itself on defense Friday after former Defense Secretary Leon Panetta criticized the White House for its policies on Iraq, with the State Department and others publicly disputing his claims. Panetta chided the president´s team in his forthcoming memoir, excerpts of which have been published in the media. He alleges the White House didn´t try hard enough to strike a deal with Iraq in 2011 to leave a residual force of U.S. troops behind, in turn opening the door for the region to become a haven for the Islamic State. In newly published excerpts, he also criticized

The dictionary defines nepotism as, “the practice among those with power or influence of favoring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs.” It perhaps should come to no surprise to anyone even remotely aware of the ethical scandals permeating Democrats in the State Senate that a new scandal should emerge surrounding untoward hiring practices in the State Senate, and a cover-up by Senate Leadership. (More on that cover-up in a moment.) First I think it is important to recap that the Senate, as an institution, is clearly at an ethical low point.
