Netanyahu too strong, Abbas too
weak for lasting peace, says Obama

Jerusalem Post, by Staff

Original Article

Peace has to start with Israeli and Palestinians leaders, namely Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas, US President Barack Obama told the New York Times´ Foreign Affairs columnist Thomas Friedman. [Snip] Obama worried that Netanyahu´s high approval ratings--which have jumped in recent weeks in the wake of Israel´s month-long operation in Gaza--could prevent him from making the difficult concessions needed to reach a long-term deal: "If he doesn’t feel some internal pressure, then it’s hard to see him being able to make some very difficult compromises," like the issue of settlements, the president said.

Obviously, Obama is backing the Papa Bear-Baby Bear theory to explain the decades of fighting between Gaza and Israel. (Guess he´s never heard of Yassir Arafat.) And he adds in the rising popularity numbers for Netanyahu as a contributing factor. Of course, it´s not because Bibi´s doing the right thing./S

Who does he think he is--Mama Bear?

No, he´s definitely more the Goldylocks type coming into someone else´s home and thinking he can have whatever he wants with no consequences.

The only thing about Obama knowing what strong is ...is the strong ODOR of his presence and his madness.

Si vis pacem, para bellum is a Latin adage translated as, "If you want peace, prepare for war" (usually interpreted as meaning peace through strength—a strong society being less likely to be attacked by enemies).

Of course, Obama attacks the concept as the anti-Reagan.

Worse, Obama attacks our allies and builds up our enemies.

"Israel needs to find a way to coexist in peace with the Palestinians, Obama said, if it wants to preserve the values on which the State of Israel was founded. “You have to recognize that [the Palestinians] have legitimate claims, and this is their land and neighborhood as well,” he added."

Obama´s is clearly siding with Hamas and their Palestinian supporters. To Obama, the 3,000+ rockets and the 40+ attack tunnels were the result of Israeli disrespect for Gaza, and not Hamas and the Brotherhood´s hatred of Israel. Then again, when the US president is an admirer if not member of the Muslim Bro, what else can we expect.

For people such as Obama, the concept of right and wrong doesn´t even exist. Netanyahu is too strong because of approval ratings. The polls tell him he is right because Israelis are tired of being targets. They shouldn´t make any concessions or compromises. You can´t coexist when your neighbor just wants you dead.

As an enemy of Israel--and he most certainly is--Obama is also an enemy of the Almighty (Genesis 12:2-3). He is the chaff awaiting the four winds to scatter it. The Administration´s obsession with the murderous Palestinians is a strategic and spiritual blunder of epic proportions. God´s going to cut these people down.

Obama and Kerry have, and will have, nothing to do with Israeli´s negotiations. Netanyahu knows they are fools, and will ignore them, while going straight to the American people for the support he needs. Obama should be fired. How long will America tolerate high salaries to government and politicians with such awful performance?

Obama´s abiding contempt for the american public shines through in this latest wacky pronouncement. In effect, "...the fact that my approval ratings is so low means I must be doing everything right..."

Reminds me of the Wizard of Id comic strip when Sir Rodney says, "Sire, the peasants are revolting!
The King replies, "Boy, I´ll say they are."

How can there be "lasting peace" between two entities when one of them states publicly and often that its only goal is to make the other cease to exist? Only a liberal can be this stupid! Peace what happens after one side defeats and conquers the other. This situation will be no different.

Most men learn in junior high school that if you don´t want to get your butt kicked, then don´t start trouble with someone who is likely to be able to do it. The entire "Guy Code" revolves around this simple concept. Hamas apparently never learned this.

It is infuriating to me just how willfully obtuse this man and all his leftoid comrades really are.

WHY haven´t they figured out by now that there NO territorial concession Israel can make that will bring about peace? WHY do they refuse to understand that this is an EXISTENTIAL struggle, and that Israel´s war today will be ours tomorrow?

I think we all know the answers: facile notions of moral equivalence, a self-indulgent refusal to accept moral responsibility, a reflexive 60´s era empathy with any non-Caucasian rabble, however savage or bloodthirsty - and just plain, old-fashioned Jew hatred.

I have a neighbor who is from Israel. He and I have discussed this situation several times, and in each instance he has urged me not to worry about Israel. He insists that his native country has a resilience and inner strength that Americans cannot understand. "We will survive Obama, and anything else that is thrown at us", he says.

Let us all hope and pray that he is right.

Question is: will the Jews in America wake up? If ovomit calls, Bibi should hang up the phone and if johnny gigolo shows up at the airport, do not let him in. The public needs to understand that Obama studied at Columbia under Edward Said, a Palestinian scholar and activist who reviled America and stated that ANYTHING the Palestinians did to fight Israel was acceptable. Obama is doing his best to hide his extreme Palestine bias and naturally it bubbles to the surface and reveals itself. This would all be self evident had our old media done their job of vetting our Democratic candidate with 1/10 the fervor with which they applied to vetting our GOP candidates. We now have a true Manchurian Candidate for a president. It drives me crazy to listen to political pundits continuously repeat "Why is he doing (whatever he is currently doing)" Wake up! He is doing it because he has a plan and that plan is not beneficial to America.
I met a couple Palestinians in Houston. They are foaming at the mouth angry, bitter, Israeli hating individuals. They grew up their whole lives being taught how vile Israel is. They never see anything Palestinians do as wrong. No matter how heinous. Remind you of anyone else?

Two thoughts:

1. Obama grew up surrounded by radicals his entire life. (and still is) GIGO Principal applies.
2. I will never forgive the media for foisting this left wing radical upon America. I would feel the same way about a right wing radical. We need a right leaning moderate just like the country itself.

I think a great many Americans would gladly exchange Netanyahu for Barry any day of the week. Of course, I would hate to do that to our #1 ally in the ME.

A truly smart Republican politician who really loves this country (we do have a couple) would try to emulate Netanyahu´s strength of character and commitment. We don´t need any pastel colors in our WH.

BO wants Israel so weak that they will acquiesce to the unacceptable.

This should be no surprise.

Liberals want everyone around to be so weak that they bend their knee to the government and liberal thinking. They hate business because it creates wealthy, independent people. They want more poor immigrants in the country and voting because they can "take care" of them to buy votes.

If Israel were weak, Kerry could come in with his ridiculous demands, Israel would cave in, and Kerry could get his peace prize.

The fatal flaw in the liberal plan is that government cannot take care of anyone well. Socialist countries have poor economies and therefore can not spend much to "take care of" the people. The simple reason for this is without the motivation of compensated success, no one is interested in building anything. Why bother? The only possible way to succeed is to allow enough business success and personal reward to fuel the state without allowing the power of the state to dwindle. China is trying to do this with some success but they face massive challenges as well.

As to Israel following this route, not likely. They are too smart with too much reality staring them in the face to follow false liberal ideology. Hopefully they will endure until 2017 and we have a new leader that has some intelligence and some bravery to deal with the Muslim problem.

The L.A. Times is warning that the “worst is yet to come” if a grand jury fails to indict white officer Darren Wilson for shooting and killing black 18-year-old Michael Brown. If the grand jury fails to indict the officer who killed Michael Brown, almost everyone here thinks things will get worse. “They’re not going to be looting next time,” said Kevin Seltzer, 30, who lives at an apartment complex near where Brown, 18, was shot. “They’re going to burn the city down.” The article highlights recent indications that the city is “far from finding peace,” including continued clashes with officers, the shooting

WASHINGTON — The Senate’s minority whip is confident about Republicans being the majority in the 114th Congress — if conservatives can set aside differences and work to combat the massive influx of donor cash that has Democratic campaigns ahead in the money race. Only in the majority, Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) stresses, can conservatives make headway on tamping down overregulation, repealing and replacing Obamacare, securing the “chaotic” border, getting Keystone XL moving, and bringing civilized debate back to the upper chamber. And only by realizing the gravity of the battle for November, he argues, can Republicans relegate Harry Reid (D-Nev.)

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention notified the media at 3:32 p.m. Tuesday that Dallas has the first diagnosed Ebola case in the nation. The federal agency scheduled a media briefing at 5:30 p.m. from its headquarters in Atlanta. Dallas County officials are expected to participate. Dallas County went through a day-long anxiety attack Tuesday, waiting to hear if the first Ebola diagnosis in the nation would happen here. An unnamed patient at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas was placed in isolation while awaiting test results for the dreaded virus. Apparently, the patient had traveled recently to a

President Obama firmly believes the United States is better off now than when he took office, even though the American people cannot “feel” it. During an interview with 60 Minutes’ Steve Kroft, Obama said, “the country is definitely better off than when I came into office.” “When I came into office, our economy was in crisis,” Obama said. The president then cited lower unemployment, private sector job growth, and deficit cuts as evidence of his administration’s success. “I can put my record against any leader around the world in terms of digging ourselves out of a terrible, almost unprecedented financial crisis,” Obama said. President Barack Obama´s intelligence briefings have provided him with specific information since before he won re-election in 2012 about the growing threat of the terror group now known alternatively as ISIS and ISIL, an administration insider told MailOnline on Monday. ´Unless someone very senior has been shredding the president´s daily briefings and telling him that the dog ate them, highly accurate predictions about ISIL have been showing up in the Oval Office since before the 2012 election,´(snip) ´Any time you´re hired by a boss to advise him about what to do in a high-stakes area, and he ignores you for

Well, that didn’t take long. Just two weeks into the new season of “The View,” co-hosts Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg tore into each other during a commercial break — in front of their stunned studio audience. The spat erupted Thursday after Goldberg interrupted O’Donnell to go to a commercial break before the mother of five was finished commenting in a “Hot Topic” discussion about spanking children on the ABC gabfest. O’Donnell refuses to wear an earpiece to stay in contact with producers while the live show is airing, so she had no clue it was time to stop talking.

Sacramento, Calif. - Gov. Jerry Brown on Tuesday signed legislation imposing the nation's first statewide ban on single-use plastic bags, driven to action by a buildup of litter and damage to aquatic ecosystems. A national coalition of plastic bag manufacturers immediately said it would seek a voter referendum to repeal the law, which is scheduled to take effect in July 2015. Under SB270, plastic bags will be phased out of large grocery stores starting next summer and convenience stores and pharmacies in 2016. The law allows grocers to charge a fee of at least 10 cents for using paper bags. State Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Los Angeles,

The sympathetic news media is avoiding mentioning his name, instead they are blaming the lack of a football intro for the massive collapse in ratings Sunday night for President Barack Obama’s appearance on CBS’ 60 Minutes. Americans turned away from watching Obama even though he was being interviewed about the nation’s new war on ISIS. For example, Deadline Hollywood didn’t even mention Obama’s 60 Minutes interview when reporting on the drop in viewers. “With no football lead-in, CBS’ Sunday lineup fell from last week. As expected, the drop was steepest at 7 PM, with 60 Minutes (1.1) off by 69%

Video of Chelsea Clinton and Marc Mezvinsky leaving the hospital with their newborn daughter apparently reminds CNN anchor Erin Burnett of when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge went before cameras outside a London hospital before taking home their newborn son Prince George last year. Burnett made the remark towards the end of her program while narrating video footage of the couple exiting a New York City hospital with Bill and Hillary Clinton just steps behind them. Of course when William and Kate left the hospital with their bundle of joy, the proud royal parents had the moment to themselves, not
