Fear of ‘Another Benghazi’ Drove
White House to Airstrikes in Iraq

New York Times, by Mark Landler, Alissa J. Rubin*

WASHINGTON — On Wednesday evening, moments after finishing a summit meeting with African leaders at the State Department, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff delivered a stark message to President Obama as they rode back to the White House in Mr. Obama’s limousine. The Kurdish capital, Erbil, once an island of pro-American tranquillity, was in the path of rampaging Sunni militants, the chairman, Gen. Martin E. Dempsey, told the president. And to the west, the militants had trapped thousands of members of Iraqi minority groups on a barren mountaintop, with dwindling supplies, raising concerns about a potential genocide.

Incredible. What we are witnessing is the direct result of a feckless president who only sees through a political lens. His actions have caused nothing but chaos and suffering. He could not or would not see what we all knew would happen in Iraq when he decided to pull out our troops. He failed to make decisions that were prudent and now he continues to flop around looking for a strategy. This is the result of a man who is driven by ideology and is unable to rise above it. He is not a big picture thinker. He is a small man, a dangerous man, and a man completely out of his league. What is most disturbing is that most Leftists are just like him, confident in their ignorance. God save us from these people. They create nothing but chaos and call it progress.

The Kurds have begged for arms and equipment so they can fight the terrorists of ISIS. Obama ignored them. Now he makes a small effort after thousands have been killed and ISIS has half of Iraq. Why? Because he doesn;t want to face a political embarrassment with the election coming up in November. Obama is the embarrassment.

Obama is more concerned with Trey Gowdy´s investigation of Benghazi than any American stationed in Erbil or Baghdad. Safe bet that Obama is assembling a series of personal attacks on Gowdy and Repubs on his committee. Elijah Cummings will serve as the F-18 that delivers these strikes on Gowdy.

As Iraq crumbles, Obama will do his "How dare you question me about protecting Americans" act, just as he did in the debate with Romney. It´s all an act with Obomba.

I HAVE A DREAM: The President ascends the podium and says this:"I was wrong to blame all our ills on George Bush.Being President is very difficult.I should have worked harder to arrange for troops to stay in Iraq and help the people there. All of the bloodshed since then is on me.
I should have been president of all the people not just the Travons.I should have let Republicans help me with Health Care and together we could have brought a good product to America. In my arrogance,I did not do this.
My number one goal should have been to keep America safe and secure and to enforce the laws that the people´s representatives passed. That is my job and I have failed. It worries me deeply that people who wish to harm Americans may be getting into this country illegally. Therefore, I pray my successor seals the borders of this great land before it is too late.Hereby, I resign for the good of this country which gave me a home and great wealth and I ask forgiveness of my fellow citizens."

He identifies with the beliefs and aspirations of the jihadist savage kidnappers of Black Christian schoolgirls much more than with the beliefs and aspirations of the schoolgirls (whose genitals are being mutilated and who are being converted into human bombs).

And of course, he has decided that bringing a fatal, incurable virus into the USA is a peachy idea.

Another do-nothing administration? Another few Americans killed (and the rest formally silenced by CIA threats!)? How about the capital city of the Kurds falling - to rebels using US equipment, captured or otherwise acquired? Or is it really just about White House optics?

The Pesh Murga seem unimpressive after all, just more guys with AK-47s. This is unfortunate. Must we really arm them sufficiently and teach them to defeat US armor and artillery? Ugh.

"Fear" is what best describes Obie these days. He may seem to be swaggering through this morass he has created, doing a "whistling past the graveyard" bit, but he has to know that his legacy is rubbish and impeachment - even if it failed in the Senate - would be a very black blot on his copybook. And it is looming out there.

It´s my guess that he is self-medicating like mad these days...

The effort to stop the Ebola outbreak in the U.S. and West Africa is expected to dominate Sunday news shows. The head of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and an expert from the National Institutes of Health will address the issue following the first diagnosed case on Tuesday in Dallas. Tom Frieden, director of the CDC, said Saturday that a travel ban to the affected countries fighting the spread of the deadly virus could hamper relief efforts and worsen the situation. He also said that the CDC has seen a jump in reported possible Ebola cases but, so
