More ObamaCare woes: Congress must
act to block health insurance bailout

Fox News, by Sen. Marco Rubio

Original Article

As evidence mounts of a looming taxpayer-funded bailout of health insurance companies under ObamaCare, the urgency grows for Congress to take this possibility off the table for good. As expected, ObamaCare´s costs are rising, and health insurers are passing them along to patients in the form of higher premiums and deductibles. Just this week, a majority of insurers offering health plans in Florida announced rate increases ranging from 11 to 23 percent. This means that if patients balk at paying this sharp increase and drop their coverage, these health insurers will have to make up the difference somehow. Enter section 1342 of the

Can´t believe I read anything written by this two faced snot. Suggestion, Sen Rubio (Sen.-oh that hurt to type) but don´t just stand there talking about what needs to be done. DO IT. WTP are fatigued beyond belief on hearing what you will do, want to do and attempt to do. And now that you´ve crossed back over to the other side of the aisle (Conservative/Pubbie Side), it is asked why you were so easily persuaded to camp with the enemy.

Sorry, but your status has fallen in recent years and one tends to tune you out more often than not. No statesman, no politician, but certainly a publicity hound.

One way or another, this Criminal Organization is going to stick us with the bill for this debacle. ´´Doesn´t work? Too bad, just shut up and pay and pay and pay!´´

There are over 300 bills passed by the House sitting on Harry Reid´s desk, going nowhere. What makes anyone think Congress (i.e. Harry Reid) will allow any bill that reduces government spending to get a vote in the Senate?

Talk about obstruction. Harry is the poster boy for obstruction.

EDINBURGH - Scottish support for independence has declined, a poll for Survation showed on Saturday, widening the lead for the pro-union campaign just 5 days before Scotland votes on whether to separate from the rest of the United Kingdom. A Survation poll on behalf of the pro-union Better Together campaign found support for staying in the United Kingdom was at 54 percent, while 46 percent were planning to vote for independence on Sept. 18, once undecideds were excluded. The poll comes as a boost to the anti-independence campaign after the latest "poll of polls" on Friday showed the vote remained

Members of Congress and the White House anticipated a peace dividend by winding down America´s foreign wars, closing bases and shedding tens of thousands of troops. But President Obama´s new, open-ended strategy to confront Islamic State fighters in Iraq and Syria is likely to eat into some of the nearly $500 billion in Pentagon spending cuts that were planned over the next decade. The first five weeks of U.S. airstrikes in northern Iraq has cost $262.5 million, according to the Pentagon, and Obama personally lobbied key members of Congress in recent days to appropriate $500 million to help train and arm Syrian

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is heading back to Iowa for the first time since 2008 this weekend to speak at the 37th Harkin Steak Fry. And since she says she’ll probably decide on a 2016 run “after the first of the year,” ABC News took a closer look at three other Democrats who could challenge her for the nomination if she decides to run for the White House for the second time. 1. Sen. Elizabeth Warren The Massachusetts senator — speaking to ABC News’ David Muir earlier this year — said she is not running for president, but could she

The unelected and unaccountable sages at the World Health Organization (WHO) can’t seem to help themselves or resist the temptation to try to regulate the behavior of everyone on the planet. This is a shame, really, because a group like that could actually do some good if they stuck to trying to get basic supplies and medical care to people in remote, poverty stricken countries. But rather than devoting themselves to such laudable goals, they’re once again pushing to get every government on the planet to jack up sin taxes on tobacco.(This is something they’ve tried before, as I wrote

CHICAGO/MILWAUKEE — A federal appeals court has reinstated Wisconsin’s voter photo identification law. U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman struck the law down as unconstitutional in April, saying it unfairly burdens poor and minority voters who may lack such identification. Republican Attorney General J.B. Van Hollen asked the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago to overturn that ruling. The 7th Circuit issued a ruling late Friday afternoon lifting Aldeman’s stay and allowing the law to go into effect before the November elections. State attorneys asked a three-judge 7th Circuit panel during oral arguments on Friday to immediately reinstate the law. Van Hollen’s appeal remains

Surely however, it further degraded our security by further engaging us in the combination of fantasy and half measures that has earned America a reputation for un-seriousness and opened hunting season on Americans everywhere. Obama degrades America by dwelling in a politically convenient fantasy world. Louisville, Ky. – Solid ground isn´t always a certainty. Sinkholes can lurk anywhere, beneath suburban homes, city streets or even football stadiums and museums. It´s basic geology: Sinkholes open when soil collapses into large holes, caused by flowing water in underground limestone. Their toll can be dramatic, swallowing homes, trees or anything else on the collapsing ground — even prized Corvettes. The Southeastern U.S. is prime territory for the geological phenomena — a potentially costly game of subterranean roulette. In Tennessee, a sinkhole opened during renovations on the football stadium at Austin Peay State University.

His cynical grandstanding was rightly condemned — but he was hardly alone. Cruz agreed to speak to this group, which included bishops of the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, ostensibly out of solidarity, but took the occasion to antagonize them over their insufficient praise for Israel, then smeared them as anti-Semites before dropping the mic. Voter turnout during last month´s primary races was a little too good in some counties, Arizona elections officials said Friday. Some precincts in northern Arizona tallied more ballots cast than there are registered voters, the Arizona Capitol Times reported. According to officials, errors made by poll workers and elections officials in Apache and Navajo counties led to the miscalculations. Initial reports from some precincts showed a turnout of anywhere from 200 to 400 percent. In Apache County, the Puerco West precinct reportedly had 100 votes cast, but only 23 voters are registered there. The voter turnout added up to 434

Let’s start with the end. When it’s over — when you make it through the marathon that is Ken Burns’s beautiful, seven-part documentary “The Roosevelts: An Intimate History,” which begins Sunday night on PBS — you may find yourself with a lingering, nebulous grief. You’re sorry it’s over. You’re sorry they’re over. You’re sorry a certain expression of American ideals is, or often appears to be, completely over. My study habits haven’t improved since college; like an idiot, I put off watching all 14 hours of “The Roosevelts” until I absolutely had to watch them on a deadline binge this week.
