US Doc Hit With Ebola Held

Dr. Kent Brantly, one of two American Ebola patients flown from Liberia to Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, says he’s “growing stronger every day.” In a letter penned from the Emory isolation room, Brantly offered a glimpse of what it was like to treat Ebola patients at ELWA hospital in Monrovia, Liberia. “I held the hands of countless individuals as this terrible disease took their lives away from them,” he wrote. “I witnessed the horror first-hand, and I can still remember every face and name.” The ongoing Ebola outbreak in West Africa has killed 961 people out of the 1,779

American physicians and health care workers routinely care
for the desperately ill and dying.
They know to take precautions when a patient is in isolation and extremely contagious.
Or in reverse isolation as is the case of burn and immune compromised patients .
The first line for these patients , including children ,
when death is imminent ,
is usually the nursing staff.
Apparently the nurses and physicians who don protective gear and bathe and care for the
sick and dying in our American hospitals
are " suicidal " , " bleeding heart liberals "
and " mentally diseased idiots ".
Doctors and nurses are apolitical.

He didn´t even go initially to treat Ebola. They quote two lines of his letter and that is very misleading. See his letter: http://www.samaritanspurse.org/article/dr-kent-brantly-statement/?utm_source=SPFacebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=m_Y000-SOCM_SocialMedia

Now, was he to turn his back when patients started coming in with Ebola? Call it "bleeding heart liberal" if you like... maybe, though, you should call it being a dedicated Christian doctor doing what dedicated Christian doctors do.

"Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy." Matthew 5:7. Standing as I do in great need of God´s mercy, I will not condemn mercy for others, and in fact defend it as fundamental to a healthy and just society. Some of the comments on this board are savage, born in fear which is not from God, and I feel terrible sorrow for those sentiments. It is a false choice whether to help here or help there - "for inasmuch as you have done unto the least of my brothers you have done it unto Me." Matthew 25:40. God decides. Thanks be to God.

An investigation was underway Tuesday after Iraqi military pilots mistakenly gave food, water and ammunition to enemy ISIS militants instead of their own soldiers, a senior security official and a brigadier told NBC News. The supplies were supposed to help besieged Iraqi army officers and soldiers who had been fighting Islamist extremists for a week in Saglawyah and the village of Al-Sijar in the country’s western province of Anbar. “Some pilots, instead of dropping these supplies over the area of the Iraqi army, threw it over the area that is controlled by ISIS fighters,” said Hakim Al-Zamili, a Sadrist lawmaker

President Barack Obama has taken a lot of flack since his Sunday night “60 Minutes” interview, in which he blamed the intelligence community for his failure to tackle the threat posed by the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria.
