Wendy Davis Says She May
Withdraw Texas National Guard
From Border If Elected Governor

Fox News Latino, by Staff

Democratic Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis on Thursday questioned the deployment of 1,000 National Guard troops on the border with Mexico to curtail illegal immigration and she promised, if elected, that she will study withdrawing them. The troop contingent was promised a month ago by current Republican Gov. Rick Perry, and it is expected that in the coming days they will begin to be deployed along the Texas-Mexico border, which stretches some 2,000 kilometers (about 1,240 miles). "The action I am ordering today will tackle this crisis head-on by multiplying our efforts to combat the cartel activity, human traffickers and individual criminals

She is laying so low you wouldn´t know she is a candidate. Her strategy to "lay low" and stay out of the news only got worse when she openned her mouth.

Texans do not want our borders insecure. Since NoBama won´t do a damn thing, Rich Perry is attempting to do something.

President Obama is supporting the Secret Service in the wake of a deeply troubling incident in which a disturbed man jumped the White House fence, sprinted across the North Lawn, and actually entered the White House Friday evening. The man, 42 year-old Omar Gonzalez, had a folding knife in his pocket and had left 800 rounds of ammunition in his car not far from the White House. Gonzalez had also drawn the attention of authorities at least twice a few weeks ago — once in Virginia, when he was found with a sniper rifle, a sawed-off shotgun, and a map with

Blissfully unaware of how hot the irony burned, Robert Kennedy Jr. yesterday took to a public protest to rail avidly in favor of censorship. The United States government, Kennedy lamented in an interview with Climate Depot, is not permitted by law to “punish” or to imprison those who disagree with him — and this, he proposed, is a problem of existential proportions. Were he to have his way, Kennedy admitted, he would cheer the prosecution of a host of “treasonous” figures — among them a number of unspecified “politicians”; those bêtes noires of the global Left, Kansas’s own Koch Brothers;

When a gunman attempted to murder Rep. Gabriel Giffords in January 2011, the country was shocked by what was widely interpreted as an act that symbolized the incivility that had transformed American politics. That assumption, which was primarily aimed at undermining the Tea Party movement that had swept the midterm elections months before in the 2010 midterms, was soon debunked when we learned the shooter was an apolitical madman. But liberals have never ceased yapping about the implications of their opponents’ alleged meanness. Now it turns out the person who is doing the most to give the lie to this

I’m always amused when journalists, in particular, read one of our stories about Hillary Clinton—such as, say, this one on her relationship with her pen pal, Saul Alinsky—and respond “Oh, this isn’t going to derail her campaign LOL YAWN.” That sort of response is kind of missing the point, now, innit? Here are never-before-reported-on primary documents written by the probable next president of the United States to a figure of historical significance. If you wonder what difference this fall’s elections might make in Washington, look no further than the IRS. On Tuesday, the Republican House passed several reform bills. One would ensure that anyone who did what Lois Lerner did — i.e., send out confidential taxpayer info on her private e-mail — would be violating the law. Others are designed to help taxpayers appeal when their groups are denied tax-exempt status or to ensure that officials who deliberately destroy federal records get the old heave-ho. Here’s the problem: The bills now head to a Senate controlled by Democrat Harry Reid. During his time as majority

I know a lot of people are giddy at the prospect of Republicans taking the Senate this November, but that’s becoming less and less likely. It’s not because Democrats are rallying around a particular mission or set of candidates; it’s because Republicans and conservatives aren’t. It seems like I’m always writing on issues no one wants to hear are mistakes, such as messaging or social issues. But I don’t care. These things have to be said. If these columns are received like a gaseous cousin on a long car trip through the desert, so be it. Crack a window… If things continue on their current course, the GOP will not retake the Senate.

It was once said, “religion is designed to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable.” Jesus’ parables – short stories with moral lessons – were likewise designed to afflict, to draw us in but leave us uncomfortable. These teachings can be read as being about divine love and salvation, sure. But, their first listeners – first century Jews in Galilee and Judea – heard much more challenging messages. Only when we hear the parables as Jesus’ own audience did can we fully experience their power and find ourselves surprised and challenged today. Here are four examples of Jesus’ teachings that everybody gets wrong: 1.
