Journalists Restricted By Hamas Rules
and It´s Reflected in Their Coverage

NewsBusters, by Geoffrey Dickens

On August 6, Cliff May of the Foundation for Defense of Democracies charged that while the media have filled their stories on the current conflict in Gaza with “pictures of neighborhoods reduced to rubble, with Palestinian men, women and children in desperate circumstances,” they have been negligent in telling their audiences that Hamas has been “deploying civilians as human shields, storing missiles in mosques and UN schools, setting up command posts in hospitals, using ambulances to ferry terrorists to battle, and children to dig tunnels.” One reason for this bias, according to May is Hamas’ intimidation of journalists. May relayed that

Comments:
Not that the MSM needed an excuse, but on Fox they had some reporters on who said they were threatened with their lives if they reported accurately on the atrocities committed by Hamas. And these are the savages those in the leftist media are so quick to defend and support. They really are sick.

The phrase "Hamas Rules" is imaginative. The rule is simply that the reporters will do it the Muslim way or they reporters will be dead.

The federal government is developing a body mass index (BMI) detector intended to be available to every American “anywhere and anytime,” according to a grant awarded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The detector is expected to rely on the analysis of facial and body imagery. The project has been awarded $200,113 thus far to create the system under the notion that too many obese individuals are unaware of their BMI. “Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of the ratio between an individual’s weight and height, which is an important parameter to characterize human bodies into four categories, i.e.,

Venezuela’s Socialist President Hugo Chavez, who ruled for 14 years before dying of cancer in 2013, is so highly venerated by his followers that a leader with the Venezuela Socialist Party ended a party conference recently by praying a rewritten, Chavez-anti-capitalist-laced version of the “Our Father.” Catholic Church leaders in Venezuela said the “Our Father” Chavez prayer was idolatrous. In leading “The Delegate’s Prayer,” as reported by RT and Catholic News Agency, Socialist Party representative Maria Uribe said to conference attendees on Sept. 1, “Our Chavez, who art in Heaven, the Earth, the sea, and we, delegates, hallowed be thy name. “The great enemy of clear language is insincerity. Another more modern saying comes to mind as well: “You can’t kinda get a girl pregnant.” So when we hear the Secretary of State or

Obama administration officials who say they intend to sign a “politically binding” agreement to drastically reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions at the United Nations’ (UN) climate change conference in Paris next year already have a legal strategy to turn any non-binding accord into federal law, warns Christopher Horner, senior fellow at the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI). Horner told CNSNews.com that the “name and shame” effort is an alternative to a new climate change treaty already being drafted by the UN that would have to be ratified by the U.S. Senate. “Obama’s statement acknowledges that he cannot get a new climate treaty past

AUSTIN — Federal authorities want to build a South Texas immigration lockup for families after an unprecedented surge in the number of youngsters pouring across the U.S. border, a federal official said Thursday. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is proposing a residential center in the town of Dilley, about 70 miles southwest of San Antonio, agency spokeswoman Adelina Pruneda said. “Structures on the site may be used temporarily to house up to 680 residents while the new facilities are built,” she said. Pruneda said ICE isn’t discussing further details, including how many adults and children the 50-acre facility would house, how much it would

Qua speech, Barack Obama’s address Wednesday on the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria was surprisingly terrible: a disorganized mess, insincere and unconvincing. To appreciate just how bad and bizarre it was, compare the president’s speech announcing a new air campaign in Iraq and Syria to Dwight Eisenhower’s 1958 statement on his decision to intervene in Lebanon with 14,000—14,000!—troops. The statement contains no chest-thumping about America’s leadership in science and medicine. No pivot to the auto industry and medical research. Eisenhower simply explained what had been done, and why.

Berlin - President Obama´s declaration of war against the terrorist group known as the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria marks a decisive break in the American constitutional tradition. As we suspected, President Obama tried in his Wednesday-night speech to make it sound like he was doing something new when he, in fact, he is not. Moreover, in describing his response, he made plain that he doesn’t take the threat to the homeland seriously. For a threat his advisers say is greater than that posed by al-Qaeda after 2001, he proposed measures suitable for Yemen and Somalia. No, really — that’s the plan. For starters, the president doesn’t believe the Islamic State is a current threat to the U.S.: “So ISIL poses a threat to the people of Iraq

Rarely has a president faced a greater challenge in establishing his credibility for a new foreign-policy move than Barack Obama did in his nationally televised speech tonight. A CNN poll earlier this week found that just 30 percent of voters thought Obama had presented a clear plan for fighting the Islamic State. While Obama now pledges to ask Congress to train and aid Syrian rebels who would fight the group, voters remember that he backed similar plans in Syria in 2013, when his advisers saw Syrian president Bashar Assad as the major threat. President Obama just announced that he is bringing a counter-terrorism strategy to an insurgency fight. He was at pains to repeat the phrase “counter-terror” four times in a short speech. Noting that ISIL is not a state (partly because the international community thankfully does not recognize it), he declared, “ISIL is a terrorist organization, pure and simple. And it has no vision other than the slaughter of all who stand in its way.” Neither of those sentences, unfortunately, is true. Throughout his presidency, President Obama has emphasized one point while talking about Islamist extremists: They are not practicing Islam, he has said, they are perverting it. He took that a step further Wednesday night. While announcing that he´s expanding the campaign against the Islamic State extremist group into Syria, Obama said flatly that this group, which is trying to install a caliphate in the Middle East, "is not Islamic." He didn´t say they are perverting their religion; he said they´re not even part of that religion.
