HELMETTA, N.J. — A New Jersey police officer´s 36-year career in law enforcement came crashing down this week after he was caught on camera saying police do not have to follow the Constitution because President Obama doesn´t either. On Thursday, Richard Recine — who had retired from the Franklin, N.J., police force in 2006 and was working part time in the Borough of Helmetta´s police department as a special police officer — submitted his resignation. "I don´t want to give a black eye to law enforcement," Recine, 59, said Thursday in an exclusive interview with MyCentralJersey.com. "People are saying some

I cannot remember any portion of the constitution being changed as a result of 9 11 2001. what has changed is the federal State and local governments attitude towards the citizens of this once great country.
Today Law enforcements view is we are terrorists or anti government freaks who have no rights under the constitution. Law enforcement at all levels today is quickly turning into a heavily armed Gestapo and that the citizens of this once great country are subject to their every whim, the hell with the constitution or even local laws

Germany will do all it can to fight anti-Semitism, Chancellor Angela Merkel said in a speech on Sunday, following a surge of abuse against Jews and spreading anti-Israeli sentiment aroused by the Gaza conflict. Merkel made her pledge to thousands at a landmark rally protesting a rise in anti-Semitism that authorities and Jewish leaders blame mainly on Muslim extremists and young immigrants, saying anyone who attacks Jews is attacking all of Germany. "That people in Germany are threatened and abused because of their Jewish appearance or their support for Israel is an outrageous scandal that we won´t accept," Merkel said. "It´s

The U.S. Senate´s 380-page handbook — which has never before been released to the public — has been made public for the first time. The book, which "governs everything from how many sheets of paper and potted plants each Senate office is allotted to when Senators can use taxpayer money to charter planes or boats," was made public Sunday by USA Today, which published nearly whole thing online. The newspaper is withholding 10 pages that pertain to Senate security issues. The book "contains detailed rules on how each senator can spend their official, multi-million-dollar, taxpayer-funded budget on things like meals

INDIANOLA, Iowa -- Hillary Clinton fanned the 2016 flames on Sunday, making her first return to the early caucus state since her 2008 presidential loss. As the former secretary of State took the stage at retiring Sen. Tom Harkin´s (D-Iowa) final steak fry, she told the crowd: "Hello Iowa-- I´m ba-ack!" Even though she was there to pay homage to the retiring Democrat and stump for the party´s candidates in the competitive state, Clinton cheekily acknowledged that another White House bid wasn´t far from her mind. "And then of course there´s that other thing,"she told a crowd that had chanted

Democrats routinely deride Republicans as extremists bent on coarsening the discourse. In January 2014, in the same interview in which he infamously claimed that ISIS was a “jayvee” team, President Obama blamed conservative media for polarizing the country: The issue has been the inability of my message to penetrate the Republican base so that they feel persuaded that I’m not the caricature that you see on Fox News or Rush Limbaugh, but I’m somebody who is interested in solving problems and is pretty practical, and that, actually, a lot of the things we’ve put in place worked better than people

But for three hours Sunday night, America will get a different look at Atlantic City. The Miss America pageant will present an upbeat view of the city where it began in 1921 and crown its next winner during a nationally televised finale. DALLAS, Pa. — In the summer of 2004, then Gov. Ed Rendell and top state lawmakers promoted legalized casino gambling as a way to provide historic relief from burdensome school property taxes. A decade later, slot-machine revenue has helped restrain the inexorable growth of a tax that homeowners love to hate, and completely eliminated it for thousands of low-income seniors. But an Associated Press analysis of state Education Department data shows that, despite the meteoric rise of Pennsylvania’s gambling industry, the casinos haven’t delivered enough revenue to put a significant dent in most homeowners’ tax bills. This week, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) slandered a group of Middle Eastern Christians who were trying to raise awareness of their struggle to avoid a genocide in the Middle East. His cynical grandstanding was rightly condemned — but he was hardly alone. Cruz agreed to speak to this group, which included bishops of the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, ostensibly out of solidarity, but took the occasion to antagonize them over their insufficient praise for Israel, then smeared them as anti-Semites before dropping the mic. The Washington Free Beacon publicized this flameout — their publisher said the room

Voter turnout during last month´s primary races was a little too good in some counties, Arizona elections officials said Friday. Some precincts in northern Arizona tallied more ballots cast than there are registered voters, the Arizona Capitol Times reported. According to officials, errors made by poll workers and elections officials in Apache and Navajo counties led to the miscalculations. Initial reports from some precincts showed a turnout of anywhere from 200 to 400 percent. In Apache County, the Puerco West precinct reportedly had 100 votes cast, but only 23 voters are registered there. The voter turnout added up to 434
