Ted Lieu Refuses to Return
Award from Anti-Israel Group

Breitbart California, by Adelle Nazarian

Original Article

Posted By:mitzi, 8/7/2014 9:19:14 PM

Democratic congressional candidate Ted Lieu, who has a history of working with known anti-Israel groups, won´t return an award he received from the Council on Islamic-American Relations (CAIR), a group which is alleged to be tied to Hamas. Lieu has long-standing ties with CAIR and the Muslim Political Affairs Council (MPAC); both groups are under speculation for allegedly endorsing Hamas, which has been designated as a terrorist organization by the United States, Israel, Canada, Egypt, the United Kingdom, the European Union, Jordan, and Japan. In 2012, Lieu was presented with and accepted an award for "Excellence in Leadership" at CAIR

Comments:
I imagine CAIR would frown on Lieu if he returned the award.

So the 33rd District in CA. is one of the most Jewish in the country. We shall see if Liberalism is their religion. CAIR would love to get the freight trains running.

He represents a big lie-beral Demon-RAT district. They are fully supportive of his attachment to CAIR, so why would he possibly return their award??? He has nothing to lose.

Dead bodies are strewn all over the streets in Bama, Borno State in Nigeria. The Islamist terror group Boko Haram attacked the city for two straight days, attempting to establish their rule there and expand within the state. Residents and Borno Senator Ahmed Zanna allege the terrorists control the second-largest city in the state, but Borno State government officials have not confirmed the claim. “So many bodies litter the streets, and people are not allowed to even go and bury the dead ones,” said Zanna. “So the situation is getting worse and worse. I’m begging the government to send more

Never mind what American news reports say: President Obama is "totally committed" to dealing with ISIL -- and his strategy is "becoming more clear by the day," Secretary of State John Kerry told U.S. allies at the NATO summit in Wales on Friday. "Contrary to what you sort of heard in the politics of our country, the President is totally committed; there is a strategy that is clear, becoming more clear by the day," Kerry said. "And it really relies on a holistic approach to ISIL. That is to say that we need to do kinetic, we need to attack

Secretary of State John Kerry´s speech at the groundbreaking ceremony for the U.S. Diplomacy Center in Washington, D.C. Wednesday included an intriguing aside that appeared to reference the upcoming 2016 presidential election. Kerry spoke after remarks by each of the five former secretaries of state in attendance: Henry Kissinger, James Baker, III, Madeleine Albright, Colin Powell, and Hillary Clinton (Condoleezza Rice and George Shultz were not present.) After extolling the accomplishments of each of the five former top diplomats, Kerry said, "Join me, all of you, in thanking five of our six living former

Earlier today, President Barack Obama said that America’s goal should be to “shrink” the Islamic State until it is a “manageable problem.” His own vice president, Joe Biden, later contradicted him, saying that we will “follow ISIS to the gates of Hell, because Hell is where they will reside.” This afternoon, State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki did a “what he really meant to say” routine. (snip) Fox’s James Rosen noted the president’s own contradictory comments, which went from wanting to destroy ISIS, to wanting to roll it back, to wanting to leave it as a “manageable problem.” All of those

On Wednesday’s “The Five” on the Fox News Channel, co-panelist Greg Gutfeld opened the show with a scathing critique of President Barack Obama and his demeanor when speaking publicly about the threat of ISIS in Iraq and Syria. Gutfeld compared Obama’s tone in discussing the ISIS threat to that of when he is speaking about domestic policy, which according to Gutfeld is a startling contrast that is likely motivated by ideology. “I’d call him Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde but he´s more like Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Bean. NEW ORLEANS — A federal judge upheld Louisiana´s ban on same-sex marriages on Wednesday, as well as the state´s refusal to recognize gay marriages legally performed in other states. U.S. District Judge Martin Feldman´s ruling broke a string of 20-plus court wins for supporters of same-sex marriage since the U.S. Supreme Court struck down part of the federal Defense of Marriage Act last year. Feldman said gay marriage supporters failed to prove that the ban violates equal protection or due process provisions of the Constitution. He also rejected an argument that the ban violated the First Amendment by effectively forcing

The Affordable Care Act is heading for another near-death experience in the Supreme Court. In July, a divided panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit issued a ruling in Halbig v. Burwell that would greatly limit the number of people who are eligible for subsidized health insurance. The problem has to do with how people are connected with insurance providers, how they learn about subsidies, and how they sign up for plans. As Congress originally conceived it, the A.C.A. called for each state to set up its own exchange with a Web site, which most of

In a fresh effort to generate fervor for a far-reaching new global climate agreement, a U.N. agency is releasing videos featuring “imaginary but realistic” weather reports set in 2050, to illustrate the type of extreme conditions it predicts we will face by mid-century. But the first video in the series of 15 to be rolled out over the coming weeks shows some temperatures for 2050 considerably in excess of those projected in the latest major U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change report (which has itself been dubbed “too alarmist” by some critics.)

In his autobiography, Dreams From My Father, the President wrote that in his teenage years “I tried my best to be cool at all times” (p. 82). Maybe the news that a second American has been beheaded will force President Obama to recognize he has no more compelling priority today than stopping the Islamic State and its bloodletting. In its latest barbarity, ISIS aimed to project American weakness to the world. It was only a few weeks ago that Gannett did the same. USA Today is Gannett´s flagship publication and enjoys the highest circulation of any other American newspaper. FRIENDSHIP, Maine -- Imagine Cape Cod without cod. Maine without lobster. The region´s famous rocky beaches invisible, obscured by constant high waters. It´s already starting to happen. The culprit is the warming seas - and in particular the Gulf of Maine, whose waters are heating up faster than 99 percent of the world´s oceans, scientists say. Long-established species of commercial fish, like cod, herring and northern shrimp, are departing for colder waters. Black sea bass, blue crabs and new species of squid - all highly unusual for the Gulf - are turning up in fishermen´s nets. The Gulf of Maine´s warming reflects broader

The home-cooked meal has long been romanticized, from ’50s-era sitcoms to the work of star food writer Michael Pollan, who once wrote, “far from oppressing them, the work of cooking approached in the proper spirit offered a kind of fulfillment and deserved an intelligent woman’s attention.” In recent years, the home-cooked meal has increasingly been offered up as the solution to our country´s burgeoning nutrition-related health problems of heart disease and diabetes. But while home-cooked meals are typically healthier than restaurant food, sociologists Sarah Bowen, Sinikka Elliott, and Joslyn Brenton from North Carolina State University argue that the stress that
