Hillary Clinton´s five rules
for successful women

Daily Life Magazine, by Effie Mann

Original Article

It’s a sad reality that Clinton, despite her great success, must address the issues of sexism and physical appearance in every interview – imagine if a male politician was quoted encouraging men to throw down their grooming kits and just ‘go for it’, it’s laughable, right? But until women are judge only on their achievements and conduct, until the media’s obsession with women´s physical appearance wanes, it’s a conversation we still need to have. And it is the Hillarys, the Sheryls, Malalas and Julias who keep this conversation alive publicly on our behalf. Having read the former US Secretary of State’s

I quit reading after the "despite her great successes" line. What successes would those be? Nat´l health care she was in charge of during Clintons presidency? Benghazi?: the Russian reset? the overthrow of stable regimes in Lybia and Egypt and replacement by radical muslims? Like I say, what successes?

Indeed, #4. And ask the teenaged rape victim how Hillary stood up for her.

I suppose Rule Number Six is: "Marry a guy who´s been running for the presidency since he was in kindergarten."

"1. Stand up for your fellow women"

…unless they stand in the way of your success.

For example: A 12 year old girl who got raped by your client.
In Hillary´s world it´s OK to tear that little girl apart to win your court case. Feel free to brag about it in a public interview a few years later.

Another example: Stand by your skirt chasing rapist husband in order to expand your own power. Feel free to denigrate and destroy those women your husband literally screwed over.

Yes, Hilary Rodham Clinton is just such a Great role model for women.

(It never matters how obvious sarcasm is. It still has to be declared. Yes, the preceeding was sarcasm.)

Hillary never supported sexism against Sarah Palin. Compare to Geraldine Ferraro and Tina Fey. Ferraro never gave a nanogram of credit to Palin - all criticism, all the time. Tina Fey was the worst - made openly sexist jokes and made a career highlight out of it. But Hillary never did. I wish she were not pro-abortion. She has a heart and she likes our country. Came to it late - I think during her campaigns. But there it is. And she is loyal to those she loves. A bit blind in that, but there are worse faults.

Rule #1: Stand up for your fellow women...unless personal gain is at stake, then it´s no holds barred.
Rule #2: It´s okay to ask for help...but lies work better and they´re easier.
Rule #3: Let go of perfect...it´s easier to lie and if you´re from the right party, the drive-by media will carry your water for you.
Rule #4: Don´t play into the hand of sexists....unless you´re married to one or want to claim victim status for personal gain.
Rule #5: Be patient, but be determined....embellish your non-accomplishments and ineptitude.

Hundreds of environmentalists plan to "shut down" the New York Stock Exchange later Tuesday to protest the relationship between global warming and Big Business. Scores of protesters had already gathered in lower Manhattan early Tuesday for an event dubbed #FloodWallStreet. They planned to march a few blocks north to Wall Street and stage a "sit-in" until forced to leave. Their beef: the fossil fuels industry and other companies are profiting at the expense of the environment. The activists said they were willing to be arrested to drive home the link between global capitalism and worsening climate change.

President Barack Obama, stumping for the Democrats ahead of November´s congressional elections, has twice invoked Ronald Reagan´s seminal campaign question: "Are you better off than you were four years ago?" Framing the debate like that helped Reagan twice - in 1980 when he beat incumbent Jimmy Carter, and then again in 1984 when he won re-election during an economic upswing. But a similar message has failed to resonate for Obama primarily for one reason: while he stresses the economy has improved in almost every aspect on his watch, average family incomes have slipped. With Hillary Rodham Clinton´s 2016 presidential run looking like a foregone conclusion, the question now is whether she has a message. Fresh off a visit to Iowa and two events last week in Washington where she sought to reconnect with female voters, Clinton has sounded increasingly like a candidate. She hints at her presidential ambitions with wink-and-a-nod asides like the one in Iowa: "It is true, I´m thinking about it." Yet in framing what she described Friday as her "long career of fighting for women, and children, and fairness, and equality, and justice," Clinton has nearly mastered the art of avoiding controversy,

I know a lot of people are giddy at the prospect of Republicans taking the Senate this November, but that’s becoming less and less likely. It’s not because Democrats are rallying around a particular mission or set of candidates; it’s because Republicans and conservatives aren’t. It seems like I’m always writing on issues no one wants to hear are mistakes, such as messaging or social issues. But I don’t care. These things have to be said. If these columns are received like a gaseous cousin on a long car trip through the desert, so be it. Crack a window… If things continue on their current course, the GOP will not retake the Senate.

It was once said, “religion is designed to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable.” Jesus’ parables – short stories with moral lessons – were likewise designed to afflict, to draw us in but leave us uncomfortable. These teachings can be read as being about divine love and salvation, sure. But, their first listeners – first century Jews in Galilee and Judea – heard much more challenging messages. Only when we hear the parables as Jesus’ own audience did can we fully experience their power and find ourselves surprised and challenged today. Here are four examples of Jesus’ teachings that everybody gets wrong: 1.
