A Virginia Republican Party official resigned Wednesday night over a post he made on Facebook questioning Muslims´ contributions to the ´fabric´ of America. The post was a critique of President Barack Obama´s statement that the Muslim holiday Eid-al-Fitr ´reminds us of the many achievements and contributions of Muslim Americans to building the very fabric of our nation and strengthening the core of our democracy. ´ ´It is one thing to be gracious on religous holidays, but this is pure nonsense,´ Bob FitzSimmonds, the unelected Treasurer of the Republican Party of Virginia, said in a comment accompanying Obama´s quote. ´Exactly what part of our

What a gutless wonder! Why not stand up for truth?
The question was legitimate and asked by Americans all over the Country.
Obama insulted us and this should have been a big issue Nationwide.

It is not surprising but it is disheartening that someone can be fired for telling an obvious truth.

He apologized in the letter for bringing unwanted attention to the RPV, but refused to retract his offending statement.

´It is historically accurate, was a valid criticism of the President’s revisionist history, and not a statement on Muslim involvement in modern day America,´ he said.

FitzSimmonds is better off away from the Virgina Republican Party. Free-thinkers not allowed.

I have said it many times. The GOP lives in fear of the media and the spin on anything they say. This is why they come off so spineless. Anyone who dare speak the truth is told to shut up for fear of giving ammo to the MSM and the dims for attack. They are trying to avoid fumbling the ball.

But is this any way to run a country? Will our side be liberated after November, assuming we win big? Not likely. We´ll continue to cower in fear until we get some control over the MSM.

As if the fast degenerating geo-political situation isn’t bad enough, here’s another lorry load of concerns to add to the pile. The UK and US economies may be on the mend at last, but that’s not the pattern elsewhere. On a global level, growth is being steadily drowned under a rising tide of debt, threatening renewed financial crisis, a continued squeeze to living standards, and eventual mass default.
