Obama Weighs Airstrikes or Aid to
Help Trapped Iraqis, Officials Say

New York Times, by Helene Cooper

WASHINGTON — President Obama is considering airstrikes or airdrops of food and medicine to address a humanitarian crisis among as many as 40,000 religious minorities in Iraq who have been dying of heat and thirst on a mountaintop after death threats from the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, administration officials said on Thursday. The president, in meetings with his national security team at the White House on Thursday morning, has been weighing a series of options ranging from dropping humanitarian supplies on Mount Sinjar to military strikes on the fighters from ISIS now at the base of the mountain, a

Comments:
Obama has been "weighing" decisions on the disaster in Iraq for months. A few well placed drone strikes would have done wonders early on before those savages were able to commit the murder and mayhem they continue to do. Still there is not one word uttered about the slaughter of Christians in the Middle East.

We´ll by all means keep dithering........wait long enough and those pesky Christians won´t be a problem.......they´ll be dead.

How many civilian deaths are directly a result of Obama´s headlong and total abandonment of Iraq

They should start dropping those Christians food and water and forget about dropping any bombs near them, as they will probably end up killing a bunch of Christians with the bombs.

Yesterday an English newspaper reported that some UN organization had already rescued a big number of the Christians who were on top of that mountain.

Obama has to prioritize his actions. First, his vacay on the Vineyard. Second, how to discretely fly Reggie Love on an Air Force jet into the island without too much press coverage. Third, golf. Fourth, golf. Fifth, golf with his Choom gang. Sixth, meeting with Susan Rice and National Security on how best to ignore Putin´s invasion of eastern Ukraine. Seventh, golf. Eight, golf.

His spokesmouth just said that the Iraqi government would have to change first. The last question of the day had him tongue-tied. The question was if Obama´s reasoning in Libya was to stop an impending humanitarian catastrophe, why is this any different? To which the spokesmouth said well there are a lot of types of catastrophes. We don´t know if this one rises to that level. They are all tripe.

(Washington, DC) – Judicial Watch today released a new batch of Internal Revenue Service (IRS) email documents revealing that under former IRS official Lois Lerner, the agency seems to acknowledge having needlessly solicited donor lists from non-profit political groups. According to a May 21, 2012, memo from the IRS Deputy Associate Chief Counsel: “such information was not needed across-the-board and not used in making the agency’s determination on exempt status.” Later, in her May 10, 2013, remarks in which Lerner first revealed in response to question she planted about the IRS targeting of conservative groups, she conceded that the requests

The federal government has sent more than 37,000 illegal immigrant children to adults in every part of the U.S. who claimed to be their guardians during the first seven months of 2014, data from the Department of Health and Human Services show. But tens of thousands more are languishing in 116 shelters operated with taxpayer dollars in at least 16 states. U.S. Customs and Border Protection says more than 66,000 unaccompanied children were apprehended after crossing the border illegally between October 1, 2013 and the end of this August – an 88 per cent increase over the last fiscal year

Awkward. Just a week after President Obama said that he didn’t have a strategy to fight the Islamic State, Joint Chiefs Chairman Gen. Martin E. Dempsey said that the military has one and it was ordered up by the commander-in-chief. During a Facebook town hall, he said, “At the president’s direction, we have developed a military strategy with a series of options on how we can initially contain, continue to disrupt, and ultimately defeat ISIL.” His comment came after Obama, traveling overseas, tried to explain his “no strategy” statement this week. But in that comment, he specifically said that his

A sickening photograph has emerged of a tiny baby lying on an ISIS flag surrounded by guns and hand grenades. The chilling image is the latest photo believed to have been posted by militants fighting in Syria and Iraq as part of their online propaganda campaign. It shows the child - who appears to be less than six months old - lying on its back on the black flag now associated with the group terrorising the Middle East. Where other babies its age might have soft toys scattered around them, the child has been cynically positioned next a Kalashnikov rifle, a pistol and hand grenades.

Speaking out publicly for the first time, the three were security operators at the secret CIA annex in Benghazi – in effect, the

After three days of deliberations, the seven men and five women who heard weeks of gripping testimony about the McDonnells’ alleged misdeeds acquitted the couple of several charges pending against them--but nevertheless found that they lent the prestige of the governor’s office to

Long-established species of commercial fish, like cod, herring and northern shrimp, are departing for colder waters. Black sea bass, blue crabs and new species of squid - all highly unusual for the Gulf - are turning up in fishermen´s nets. The Gulf of Maine´s warming reflects broader
