Tiger Woods brings drama
even in practice round

USA Today, by Christine Brennan

LOUISVILLE – Just three days after all looked lost, Tiger´s back is back, and he with it. The back spasms that he said caused him so much pain Sunday afternoon seemed to have disappeared Wednesday. Tiger Woods uneventfully, even blithely, hit a few dozen shots at the driving range as the gallery grew, then went out to the course, where he hit his first tee shot down the middle of the fairway. While he still appeared to have far from a perfect gait little more than four months after back surgery, he looked spry, and seemed thrilled to be back

Comments:
Some people have miracle bionic bodies that repair themselves (snap) just like that! How very very amazing.

Only a died-in-the-wool cynic would doubt that his withdrawal from the Bridgestone had to do with his dreadful performance. Or think that, although he bounded blithely out of the bunder after that awkward little gyration on #2, and went on to play his usual (recent) bad golf for six more holes, he would then grimace and use the #2 maneuver to give him a much-needed pass to pull out and save himself for the PGA this weekend. And all that extra publicity! Wowser!

I told my husband what I thought he was up to at the moment he produced that first grimace.

This bum is phonier than a $3 bill.

How come he always withdraws in great pain when he´s way, way back - - but never experiences any "pain" when he´s near the top of the leaderboard.

What a phony. What a lowlife bum.

Update from Yahoo News. He´s playing. (apparently he had to register by this afternoon). Could still not show tomorrow? Or play badly and grimace again? Maybe double over, not be able to change his shoes?

I´ll say he´ll start. But won´t play any better than he has for the last few outings, including the rounds at the Bridgstone. He ended up second to last by the time Sunday morning rolled around. Then Bubba (dead last) began to improve his score. That caused Tiger´s back to spasm. Or something.

Pool, anyone?

The Buffalo Bills used to have a running back named Joe Cribbs. Every time I saw him fumble, he would develop a limp as he walked to the bench. He was just like Ring Lardner´s character, Alibi Ike. Woods reminds me of them.

Lethal Violence in Chimps Occurs
Naturally, Study Suggests

Are chimpanzees naturally violent to one another, or has the intrusion of humans into their environment made them aggressive? A new study, published Wednesday in Nature, is setting off a new round of debate around this question. The study’s authors argue that a review of all known cases when chimpanzees or bonobos in Africa killed members of their own species shows that violence is a natural part of chimp behavior and not the result of actions by humans that push chimp aggression to lethal attacks. The researchers say their analysis supports the idea that warlike violence in chimps is a natural behavior that

To date nothing has surfaced to undermine the essential research we have shared within the Benghazi Brief. Actually, to the contrary “The Brief” has withstood relentless scrutiny. Perhaps the best way to think of this is to use President Obama’s own words. It appears the “doctors, farmers, pharmacists and so forth” have struck up a truce with ISIS. That’s a problem, because Obama’s ISIS elimination plan requires the “doctors, farmers, pharmacists and so forth” to fight against ISIS on the ground while we shoot at ISIS from the sky. If the “doctors, farmers, pharmacists and so forth” don’t put the pointy end toward the Islamic State, oops, wait, sorry… the non-Islamic Islamic State (NI-ISIS) in Syria, then who will?
