1,000-Member Secretive Progressive
Journalist Group Uncovered

Breitbart´s Big Journalism, by Breitbart News

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 8/6/2014 2:13:39 PM

WASHINGTON, D.C. – A prominent CNN commentator, the top two political reporters for The Huffington Post, a Reuters reporter, the editor of The Nation magazine, a producer for Al Jazeera America television, a U.S. News & World Report columnist, and approximately two dozen Huffington Post contributors are among the more than 1,000 members of Gamechanger Salon. Founded by leftwing activist Billy Wimsatt, the group is a secretive digital gathering of writers, opinion leaders, activists and political hands who share information, ideas and strategy via a closed Google group. The group’s existence was discovered by Media Trackers through an open records

Why don´t they quit playing games and just call those "progressives" what they are, Communists. This is certainly not surprising but it is disturbing that they feel the need to be so secretive.

This site is not usually posted here but staff felt info was worth showing.

Was this ever a surprise? Any time the topic of media bias is brought up, the claims get shouted down from near and far.

Now we know how.

Just 1,000?

Safe bet that these HopenGameChanger members average far higher incomes than non-members and that they are guests on the MSM news shows far more than non-members. And, that the books they write receive far more coverage than non-members, with almost always favorable reviews. Finally, this secret group of Obama cheerleaders surely have more paid speaking assignments, especially on college campuses.

No, it´s not a surprise, after all, there is JournoList.

Now, if the TEA partiers --and all those who yearn to save the Republic-- could learn from this, and fight smart, strategically, instead of getting involved in petty squabbles, and trying to oust politicians for whom they do not have a viable challenger, then we´d see some changes begin.

The essential, absolutely essential work to be done is educating the public. There are millions of lofos for a reason: nobody tries to inform and enlighten... EXCEPT the Left.

The Left owns the media, owns entertainment, owns "education", owns "news" (loosely used term).

It´s much harder to educate and enlighten than to propagandize and titillate and rouse and play on emotions.

They do the same thing via their closed Google group that organized public action groups (like "Tea Party" groups) do, except that instead of raising money to support candidates they provide incalculable support with their mouths, pens and keyboards.

So they are immune from IRS and FEC scrutiny. How do you put a value on innumerable repetitions of Demon-crat talking points by partisan bigots claiming to be "journalists?" And they complain about PACs. They are worse, because they labor in the shadows perpetuating this fraud.

It seems like the only qualification to get Press Credentials is a pulse.

Titillating title, but small potatoes. When you consider the big-picture, national-scale editorial decisions made by progressives in media (contrast coverage of the Christie and Cuomo scandals, for example), this 1,000 member bunch sounds like a mere a sub-group, a social sorority of second-tier progressives, a junior league of left-learned newsies united by a love for macrame.

IMHO, these aren´t the people calling shots behind the curtain. These are just the people who get the call to steam and press the curtains every couple of months.

In early June 1964, a group of Republican governors sought to wrestle control of their party from Barry Goldwater, the Arizona conservative who was about to lead the GOP to one of the most crushing defeats in its history. The governors saw a disaster in the making, and sought a moderate candidate who could capture the imaginations of grassroots Republicans—but also beat President Lyndon Johnson in the general election. Led by Ohio’s James Rhodes—the Republican Governors Association was meeting in Cleveland, and Rhodes was a legendary vote counter—the group included Pennsylvania’s William Scranton and later New York’s Nelson Rockefeller. The U.S. government Friday defended its handling of James Foley´s case after the slain journalist´s mother told CNN that officials suggested the family could be charged if they tried to raise money to free him. Saying everything possible had been done to bring the journalist home, State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf told reporters officials worked very closely with Foley´s family and with his employer, GlobalPost CEO Philip Balboni. "Any advice that this department or other departments give to the families about what they should do in these situations is based solely on what is best for returning their loved one

This week, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) slandered a group of Middle Eastern Christians who were trying to raise awareness of their struggle to avoid a genocide in the Middle East. His cynical grandstanding was rightly condemned — but he was hardly alone. Cruz agreed to speak to this group, which included bishops of the Catholic and Orthodox Churches, ostensibly out of solidarity, but took the occasion to antagonize them over their insufficient praise for Israel, then smeared them as anti-Semites before dropping the mic. The Washington Free Beacon publicized this flameout — their publisher said the room

President Barack Obama´s trip to Los Angeles in July was billed as ´the last the President will be making this year.´But it seems he simply can´t stay away from California´s famously deep-pocketed Democratic donors. She is building stamina through tough new workouts with a personal trainer and yoga. She is talking about how to address income inequality without alienating corporate America. And she is reviewing who’s who in the Democratic Party in Iowa, a crucial early voting state in the presidential cycle. Hillary Rodham Clinton has said publicly that she will decide early next year whether she will undertake a second campaign for the presidency. But inside the Clinton operation, the groundwork is already quietly being laid for a candidacy. On Sunday, Mrs. Clinton will appear at the 37th annual Iowa steak fry hosted by Senator Tom Harkin;

Voter turnout during last month´s primary races was a little too good in some counties, Arizona elections officials said Friday. Some precincts in northern Arizona tallied more ballots cast than there are registered voters, the Arizona Capitol Times reported. According to officials, errors made by poll workers and elections officials in Apache and Navajo counties led to the miscalculations. Initial reports from some precincts showed a turnout of anywhere from 200 to 400 percent. In Apache County, the Puerco West precinct reportedly had 100 votes cast, but only 23 voters are registered there. The voter turnout added up to 434

Let’s start with the end. When it’s over — when you make it through the marathon that is Ken Burns’s beautiful, seven-part documentary “The Roosevelts: An Intimate History,” which begins Sunday night on PBS — you may find yourself with a lingering, nebulous grief. You’re sorry it’s over. You’re sorry they’re over. You’re sorry a certain expression of American ideals is, or often appears to be, completely over. My study habits haven’t improved since college; like an idiot, I put off watching all 14 hours of “The Roosevelts” until I absolutely had to watch them on a deadline binge this week.

House Minority Leader Rep. Nancy Pelosi told “Real Time” host Bill Maher that Democrats are not “fear-mongers” but in the same breath said civilization is doomed if Republicans manage to take control of the Senate in November. “It would be very important for the Democrats to retain control of the Senate,” the California Democrat told Mr. Maher on his show Friday night, which aired live from Washington. “Civilization as we know it today would be in jeopardy if Republicans win the Senate.” Mr. Maher pointed out that voter turnout will most likely lean to the right saying, “Nobody comes out

Adrian Peterson turned himself in early Saturday morning, FOX NFL Insider Jay Glazer reported , after authorities in Texas issued an arrest warrant for the star Minnesota Vikings running back on a charge of child abuse for using a branch to spank his son. Peterson surrendered to authorities in Montgomery County and was released on a $21,000 bond, according to Glazer. However, Peterson has been benched for Sunday’s game against New England. Peterson’s attorney, Rusty Hardin, said that the charge accuses Peterson of using a branch, or switch, to spank one of his sons, whose age was not disclosed but was widely

The Democrats’ leader in the House, California Rep. Nancy Pelosi, is either dishonest, drunk, or losing her mind.
Soopermexican caught this tweet from Pelosi, which he calls “brutal stupidity.”Nancy Pelosi @NancyPelosi Follow An American family can´t just change their address to avoid paying taxes. @HouseGOP, why can corporations? Let´s put the #MiddleClassFirst! 4:54 PM - 12 Sep 2014 As the multimillionaire Pelosi surely knows, individuals and corporations (which are artificial people under the law) can change their addresses and thereby change their tax burdens. It happens every day. I know that from personal experience. I moved from high-tax Maryland to low-tax Texas a few years back and gave myself a very nice raise and bought a bigger house than I’d had up north even though my
