The Arrogance of Eric Holder
FrontPage Magazine, by Matthew Vadum

Original Article

Posted By:KarenJ1, 8/6/2014 12:21:17 PM

Attorney General Eric Holder argues in a new interview that activism is the proper role of the nation’s chief law enforcement officer — and it is precisely this radical conceit that by itself ought to disqualify him from holding the office. “If you want to call me an activist attorney general, I will proudly accept that label,” he told left-wing journalist Juan Williams. “Any attorney general who is not an activist is not doing his or her job,” Holder pontificated, skating over the long-recognized fact that an attorney general is supposed to enforce the law, not fundamentally transform the nation.

Comments:
What is so outrageous is that the corruption "has trickled down to infect the systems of law and legal jurisprudence throughout the country.." It will be extremely difficult to clean out that rat´s nest even if we do get a Republican president.

The hypocrisy of this is that this idiot wouldn´t say activism is ok if done by a conservative; and the Dems that support all issues being solved by Executive Orders would not be saying that if the EO´s were coming from a conservative president. What Holder and the other Administration crooks want is the rule of man, not the rule of law because the rule of man can be changed immediately if it furthers their agenda. The rule of law is one of there great differences between a great nation and a third world nation

Eric Holder is an antagonistic, law breaking racist. In progressive-speak, that´s called "activism."

If Holder was white, I would think he was related to Beria and Himmler. However, I am sure he is a student of both and one can toss in Stalin.

Eric Holder and about 99% of the Civil Rights Division attorneys should be impeached and investigated on charges of racism in the performance of their duties.

AUSTIN — Federal authorities want to build a South Texas immigration lockup for families after an unprecedented surge in the number of youngsters pouring across the U.S. border, a federal official said Thursday. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is proposing a residential center in the town of Dilley, about 70 miles southwest of San Antonio, agency spokeswoman Adelina Pruneda said. “Structures on the site may be used temporarily to house up to 680 residents while the new facilities are built,” she said. Pruneda said ICE isn’t discussing further details, including how many adults and children the 50-acre facility would house, how much it would

President Obama began outlining a sweeping and long-term strategy Wednesday night for combatting the threat posed by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, launching what could be the biggest counterterrorism campaign of his presidency. “Tonight, I want to speak to you about what the United States will do with our friends and allies to degrade, and ultimately destroy, the terrorist group known as ISIL,” Obama said in a prime-time speech delivered from the White House. According to prepared remarks, Obama said the offensive against the militant group will not involve combat troops but a “steady, relentless effort” through

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) wants President Obama in his speech on ISIS Wednesday night to reject the jihadists’ “misappro-priation of Islamic terms and concepts,” and to recognize that the terrorist group was created by “the lack of freedom and justice in the region.” CAIR leaders plan to join other local and national Muslim leaders in a Capitol Hill viewing of Obama’s prime-time address to the nation on a strategy to counter the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS/ISIL) threat. Via Ace, something to keep in mind tonight while The One is doing his johnny-on-the-spot shtick about fighting jihadism in Iraq. “Lie” is my word, not Tim Arango’s, but read his comment and tell me what’s more likely. Or that the White House had every reason to know how dangerous Iraq was becoming but chose to suppress that information because the truth was problematic?

In this hyperpartisan age, there is one point of agreement between Republicans and Democrats on foreign policy--that is, in addition to the newfound conviction that Congress need not exercise its constitutional authority over war: namely, that there shall be no "boots on the ground in Iraq." It is a view requiring immediate clarification: there may be more U.S. soldiers fighting in Iraq, but no combat troops will be sent. President Barack Obama offered that reassurance in his addresses to the nation. His former rival, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ), said the same in an interview with the BBC on Hard Talk this

For the 2008 Presidential GOP convention I was asked to narrate more than 80 percent of the videos shown over those few days. The 9/11 tribute video was something I especially wanted to do. For me, the most important issue of our 21st century is the War on Terror, specifically from that which it is engendered, radical Islam. While, of course, both conventions that year had their partisan speeches and differences, at least the nation would be united on the 9/11 tribute. I was wrong. Instead of a unanimous, heartfelt response, some on the left began to vehemently criticize and politicize the tribute.

As we suspected, President Obama tried in his Wednesday-night speech to make it sound like he was doing something new when he, in fact, he is not. Moreover, in describing his response, he made plain that he doesn’t take the threat to the homeland seriously. For a threat his advisers say is greater than that posed by al-Qaeda after 2001, he proposed measures suitable for Yemen and Somalia. No, really — that’s the plan. For starters, the president doesn’t believe the Islamic State is a current threat to the U.S.: “So ISIL poses a threat to the people of Iraq

Rarely has a president faced a greater challenge in establishing his credibility for a new foreign-policy move than Barack Obama did in his nationally televised speech tonight. A CNN poll earlier this week found that just 30 percent of voters thought Obama had presented a clear plan for fighting the Islamic State. While Obama now pledges to ask Congress to train and aid Syrian rebels who would fight the group, voters remember that he backed similar plans in Syria in 2013, when his advisers saw Syrian president Bashar Assad as the major threat. Qua speech, Barack Obama’s address Wednesday on the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria was surprisingly terrible: a disorganized mess, insincere and unconvincing. To appreciate just how bad and bizarre it was, compare the president’s speech announcing a new air campaign in Iraq and Syria to Dwight Eisenhower’s 1958 statement on his decision to intervene in Lebanon with 14,000—14,000!—troops. The statement contains no chest-thumping about America’s leadership in science and medicine. No pivot to the auto industry and medical research. Eisenhower simply explained what had been done, and why.

President Obama just announced that he is bringing a counter-terrorism strategy to an insurgency fight. He was at pains to repeat the phrase “counter-terror” four times in a short speech. Noting that ISIL is not a state (partly because the international community thankfully does not recognize it), he declared, “ISIL is a terrorist organization, pure and simple. And it has no vision other than the slaughter of all who stand in its way.” Neither of those sentences, unfortunately, is true. Throughout his presidency, President Obama has emphasized one point while talking about Islamist extremists: They are not practicing Islam, he has said, they are perverting it. He took that a step further Wednesday night. While announcing that he´s expanding the campaign against the Islamic State extremist group into Syria, Obama said flatly that this group, which is trying to install a caliphate in the Middle East, "is not Islamic."
