Wall Street Journal Poll:
Majority Want Illegals

Another poll has found that a majority of Americans want illegal immigrants to be "returned immediately" to their home countries. A new Wall Street Journal-NBC poll found that 51% of respondents wanted illegal immigrant juveniles, nearly 90% of whom are teenagers, to be deported, while only 43% of Americans want them to stay if they meet certain conditions. In the poll, which was conducted July 30-August 3, a majority believed that allowing illegal immigrants "to stay will be a signal that will encourage thousands more to try and come here, placing an even greater burden on limited public services such

Doesn´t matter. Ever since Obama was elected the federal government could not care less what the people want. We have transitioned from a government belonging to the people to a people belonging to the government.

If the WSJ is reporting this, the real number for amnesty is far worse.

The WSJ holds the patent on "Open borders & cheap labor: Good for all!"

Don´t even let them in! Turn them away at the border.

And anyone found in this country illegally - deport them. No questions, no hearing, just leave!

It appears that a big majority of the young illegal aliens who have recently been unlawfully entering the USA have a parent living in the USA, in most cases also illegally. Once they are released to that parent, or other claimed relation, chances of them ever showing up for a immigration court hearing sometime in the distant future ranges between slim and none. Obama and the liberal Democrats who have no intention of enforcing the immigration laws know that.

If the liberal Democrat designed amnesty that Obama refers to as "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" ever passes and becomes law, these illegal alien relatives of illegal aliens who have been in the US for some time who are coming in now, will only be a drop in the bucket compared to the massive surge of alien relatives who will legally get to come here after their illegal alien relative now living in the USA is legalized. There may be 20 million illegal aliens here now, so there is no doubt that once legalized, and they will bring in tens of millions of their close foreign relatives, as that liberal Democrat bill will legalize such a mass migration of foreign relatives, not only of the legalized aliens, but also of the tens of millions of permanent resident aliens, whose millions of foreign relatives have been waiting years for immigrant visas, as that bill will do away with all foreign relative quotas, and will allow for the unlimited immigration of all those foreign relatives in the tens of millions.

At this stage most of the American people know little or nothing concerning the massive wave of aliens that "Comprehensive Immigration Reform" will allow into the USA, easy 50 million people, most all poor and uneducated, before everything is said and done.

If you think the cost of welfare is high today, imagine next year.

For the amount of money spent in the name of immigrants, We could have duplicated the Great Wall of China at the border.

Thank you Republican Senators Flake, McCain, Graham and Rubio for putting amnesty in play with the potential for 20-30 million illegals to be come voting Democrats without securing the border. In my mind these four Senators should have been tarred and feathered rather than reelected. The Republican Party is helping obama and the Democrats destroy the country! Speaker Boner wants to pass the Senate version of amnesty so bad but the Tea Party representatives just wouldn´t go along. I´m absolutely appalled at what is going on. The southern border is being invaded by illegal aliens and Congress is doing nothing.

It is clear that politicians don´t care what the American taxpayer want. The only thing we are good for is to keep them in office. Our well being and our children´s futures mean nothing to them. Their job is to do the will of the people and they are failing miserably. They are self-serving, dishonest, uncaring, and are completely lacking integrity, They know the American people want the border secured and want illegals sent packing and yet, they can´t or won´t take the necessary steps to get it done. They need to hear from us if any of them are brave enough to meet with their constituents during their summer break. The country is in crisis and we have had enough. They created this mess because they are weak and lack the courage needed to stand for the Rule of Law. How pathetic. They have the support of the public and still are unable to act. That is just cowardice.

Only 51% want the illegals deported. That counts for nearly nothing in a country where Captain Zero gets what Captain Zero wants. Majority opinion is for democracies and places like that where the people have representative government. We should make to an agreement where Captain Zero’s income would be decreased by the percentage increase in welfare costs next year.

Over the years, we have had less and less to give to the charities that we support because we have been forced to give to the "charities" that our government supports.

My own position on illegals has evolved over the years.

I actually started out about 20 years ago feeling bad for them. Can´t blame someone trying to make a better life for their families, can one? Then I realized most were just coming here for a hand out and not a job. They were looking for freebies. I got a bit chilly on illegals.

Then the flood started. Now I realize the fragile lifeboat we are all in as Americans can actually be sunk by too many new passengers trying to jump in. Now I´m against even the Dream Act. Close the damn borders and deport as many as you can catch!

small response to #17 post -- the enemies are here now. In your town and your neighborhood, and mine too. Probably some in your city hall and county commission, and almost certainly in your state house. Definitely in the White House, the Congress, the various federal courts and agencies. In the colleges and universities too. And, too often, in the churches as well.
We now have someone who acts much like a modern-day Caesar. And too many would cry, "Duce! Duce!" Sad to watch the nation collapse, and the WSJ is deeply complicit.

The Obama crew is arranging for bus tickets for new illegal aliens after they are caught and released by the border patrol to any point in the interior of the USA where they wish to go. In effect Obama has become the Coyote in Chief, as the real Coyotes no longer have to transport illegal aliens inside the USA, they just bring them to the US border and Obama´s catch and release policy illegal alien transportation provisions take over from there.

When young illegal aliens reach their destinations inside the USA and their illegal alien parents or other people register them to attend the public schools, the school administrators are prohibited from asking where they last attended school, for their birth certificate, or what their nationality and immigration status is in the USA. They must just accept all comers no questions asked. So as just one example, you could have illegal aliens who are 21 years of age using false identities with violent gang banger backgrounds falsely stating that they are 16 years old, and then enrolling in an American public high school. Also once in an interior State, there is nobody in that State except ICE special agents who have the authority to question suspected young illegal aliens concerning their identity and background.

Send our military to the Southern border and stop the invasion of illegal aliens. The U>S> has a LEGAL immigration policy and there is absolutely no reason for others to be put ahead of the people already in line waiting to come here. Obama´s actions and policies are unlawful - PERIOD - as he would say. How anyone could think they are not is delusional.

The Obama administration sought Friday to tamp down fears of an Ebola outbreak within the U.S., making the case that America’s infrastructure and health care systems set it apart from the horrific scenes coming out of West Africa, even as a confirmed case in Dallas and recent scares in the nation’s capital prompt fears of a domestic problem. “The United States is prepared to deal with the crisis,” Lisa Monaco, homeland security adviser to President Obama, told reporters at a White House briefing on the response to the deadly virus. At the same time, officials said they understood the alarm

The U.S. economy is back on solid ground six years after the Great Recession, new data showed Friday, but President Obama and other Democrats are struggling to convince voters ahead of the midterm elections that they deserve the credit for the rebound. The government reported that the unemployment rate dropped to 5.9 percent in September, the lowest level since the dark days of the 2008 financial crisis. Job growth surged to 248,000 in what was the final snapshot of the nation’s labor market before voters head to the polls in November. Obama on Friday seized on the numbers, pleading with

You can win midterm elections without a positive agenda. You can’t win presidential elections that way. It is therefore vitally important for Republicans to win the Senate in 2014. Here’s why. In midterms, it’s all right to be the party of no. The 2010 election, for example, was a referendum on the liberal overreach of the first two Obama years. Result? A Democratic “shellacking,” said President Obama. The massive stimulus, (the failed) cap-and-trade and Obamacare created a major backlash that cost Obama the House and, with it, the rest of his ideological agenda. It’s been blocked ever since. The confirmation Tuesday of the first Ebola case on U.S. soil emerges against a backdrop of increasing concern in America’s medical community that preparedness for a pandemic has stagnated or slipped in recent years because of tough economic times and increasing malaise since the 2001 anthrax threat. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, America’s premier disease fighter, offered the air of confidence in declaring that the first Ebola patient in Dallas was carefully contained. But earlier this year, it sounded less optimistic about the U.S. health system’s ability to fight a pandemic should a major disease outbreak occur.

But there is something very sinister and frightening about this Ebola outbreak, which has so far infected 7,100 and killed 3,300. [Snip] It’s hard to think of a more cack-handed, dangerously inept response than what transpired in Dallas. Consider what we now know: Thomas Eric Duncan, a 42-year-old Liberian citizen, had been

In a speech in Boston, First Lady Michelle Obama left behind talk of exercise and school lunches, exchanging it all for bald politics by claiming that under her husband the US economy is now better off "by almost every economic measure." The First Lady appeared at the Strand Theater Friday to stump for Martha Coakley´s campaign for Governor of Massachusetts. Coakley needs help badly, as even in blue, blue Massachusetts, the race between Democrat Coakley and Republican Charlie Baker is essentially a toss up. In her remarks, Obama pushed the President´s newest campaign line that he has saved the economy based on

Meghan McCain joined the dog pile on the Secret Service this week, saying she’s had “nothing but horrible experiences" with the agency and likening the agents to “glorified mall cops.” The 29-year-old author and television personality, who is also the daughter of former GOP presidential candidate Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), opened up on Pivot’s “TakePart Live” about some of her interactions with the Secret Service. "I have nothing but horrible experiences with the Secret Service,” McCain said. “One of my friends called them glorified mall cops and I don´t think that´s terribly far off. I found them cliquey. I hated

Why, she asked, wasn’t he being better protected by his Secret Service agents? The furor that led to this week’s resignation of the director of the Secret Service resonated deeply among blacks, outraged that those supposed to be guarding the first black president were somehow falling down on the job — and suspicious even without evidence that it may be deliberate. “It is something that is widespread in
