Paging Al Gore: NASA says that
global warming could be ‘on hiatus’

NASA truly has the 100,000 feet viewpoint on this one, The nation’s space agency his noticed an inconvenient cooling on the planet lately. On Tuesday, NASA’s Langley Research Center atmospheric scientist Norman Loeb presented a talk titled “The recent pause in global warming: A temporary blip or something more permanent?” The lecture explores how “global warming may be on vacation,” NASA helpfully explains. Uh-oh. Paging Al Gore. There’s even a new term for the phenomenon. Mr. Loeb’s presentation offered the most recent research related to a slowdown in surface warming referred to as the “global warming hiatus,”

So is this pause going to be longer than lunch hour, maybe a time for afternoon errands? Or is it a pause maybe like Yellowstone?

A pause? Give me a break. The "settled science" with its sophisticated models predicted no pause. By now the polar bears were supposed to be extinct, the polar ice caps melted, the coastal cities underwater, and snow in England a distant memory. Therefore any continuation of theory, hypothesis, or conjecture about global warming is nothing but political propaganda, and any scientist that promotes it is a fraud.

If it gets warmer, obviously that confirms global warming.

If it gets colder, that also confirms global warming.

If it stays the same, global warming is still true but just taking some time off.

It´s sure hard to disprove a theory when every possible outcome is touted as confirmation.

NASA, a federal agency under the influence of our Global Warming-pushing pResident, is forced (by the data) to publicly admit that the globe has not been warming recently. They´ve even given it a name which most Democrat voters won´t understand and which implies an inevitable continuation: "Global Warming Hiatus." Can´t wait to see what Steven Hayward does with that.

Sure hope that this global warming distraction didn´t interrupt NASA´s primary mission - making muslims feel loved.

Hundreds of environmentalists plan to "shut down" the New York Stock Exchange later Tuesday to protest the relationship between global warming and Big Business. Scores of protesters had already gathered in lower Manhattan early Tuesday for an event dubbed #FloodWallStreet. They planned to march a few blocks north to Wall Street and stage a "sit-in" until forced to leave. Their beef: the fossil fuels industry and other companies are profiting at the expense of the environment. The activists said they were willing to be arrested to drive home the link between global capitalism and worsening climate change. "The climate crisis

President Barack Obama, stumping for the Democrats ahead of November´s congressional elections, has twice invoked Ronald Reagan´s seminal campaign question: "Are you better off than you were four years ago?" Framing the debate like that helped Reagan twice - in 1980 when he beat incumbent Jimmy Carter, and then again in 1984 when he won re-election during an economic upswing. But a similar message has failed to resonate for Obama primarily for one reason: while he stresses the economy has improved in almost every aspect on his watch, average family incomes have slipped. Between 2009 when Obama took office and 2013, the latest

With Hillary Rodham Clinton´s 2016 presidential run looking like a foregone conclusion, the question now is whether she has a message. Fresh off a visit to Iowa and two events last week in Washington where she sought to reconnect with female voters, Clinton has sounded increasingly like a candidate. She hints at her presidential ambitions with wink-and-a-nod asides like the one in Iowa: "It is true, I´m thinking about it." Yet in framing what she described Friday as her "long career of fighting for women, and children, and fairness, and equality, and justice," Clinton has nearly mastered the art of avoiding controversy,

I know a lot of people are giddy at the prospect of Republicans taking the Senate this November, but that’s becoming less and less likely. It’s not because Democrats are rallying around a particular mission or set of candidates; it’s because Republicans and conservatives aren’t. It seems like I’m always writing on issues no one wants to hear are mistakes, such as messaging or social issues. But I don’t care. These things have to be said. If these columns are received like a gaseous cousin on a long car trip through the desert, so be it. Crack a window… If things continue on their current course, the GOP will not retake the Senate.

It was once said, “religion is designed to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable.” Jesus’ parables – short stories with moral lessons – were likewise designed to afflict, to draw us in but leave us uncomfortable. These teachings can be read as being about divine love and salvation, sure. But, their first listeners – first century Jews in Galilee and Judea – heard much more challenging messages. Only when we hear the parables as Jesus’ own audience did can we fully experience their power and find ourselves surprised and challenged today. Here are four examples of Jesus’ teachings that everybody gets wrong: 1.

Three and a half months have come and gone and the Pentagon has offered no clarity on what happened to alleged Army deserter and Taliban collaborator Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. Fellow soldiers and other critics fear the military’s now-delayed investigation is shaping up to be a whitewash. The case has become a political powder keg for President Obama. Since he traded five imprisoned Taliban leaders for Bergdahl, the US Government Accountability Office has declared the swap illegal, and nearly two dozen House Democrats have joined Republicans in officially condemning the move for making “Americans less safe.”

When Anthony Weiner’s mayoral campaign imploded last year amid new sexting revelations, the fallout buffeted his wife, longtime Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin. Clinton’s inner circle was furious with Weiner, and Abedin’s role with Hillary was said to be in doubt. “Huma has a choice to make,” New York magazine quoted a “close associate” of Abedin’s as saying. “Does she go with Anthony, or does she go with Hillary?” The magazine described Abedin as “traumatized” by the prospect of leaving the inner sanctum. One year later, Abedin’s marriage to Weiner appears intact, and her role in Hillary’s camp is secure. As Clinton’s personal chief
