Why Obama Is Backing His CIA Chief
Bloomberg View, by Jonathan Bernstein

Original Article

The Central Intelligence Agency spied on the Senate, and CIA Director John Brennan lied about it. When the news broke, several senators, including Democrats, called for the director´s resignation. It seems unlikely Brennan can survive, but on Friday, President Barack Obama gave him a vote of confidence at his brief news conference. In fact, Obama answered a shouted-out question after having already taken the “last” question, suggesting that the Brennan situation was one of the reasons he held the briefing.1 So why would Obama want to go out of his way to publicly support a CIA director he

Comments:
I can think of a few reasons.

1. During the 2008 campaign, it was a John Brennan employee who breached and ‘cauterized’ (scrubbed) Obama’s passport file in the State Department.

2. According to Ulsterman’s ‘Republican Insider’: John Brennan was instrumental in delaying an American response against Osama Bin Laden. If you google for part of that sentence (enclosing it in quote marks), you will be able to read that and the rest of R.I.’s alleged information. It is shocking.

FTA: "Brennan knows too much...."

"I wouldn’t rule this out, but I doubt it’s a serious element of Obama’s thinking. "

LOL @ "Obama´s thinking". Bernstein gives Obama WAY too much credit here. It´s Valerie Jarrett that´s controlling the Obama puppet. And given her ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, and what with Brennan being a fellow Muslim and all, well, you connect the dots. There´s only two of them.

Does anyone really think that a White House that uses the IRS wouldn´t use the CIA to get info on possible political enemies?

Brennan is a good muslim and socialist, and has been willing to give Obama all the smut on people, so Brennan will keep the job Obama appointed him to do.

Former President Jimmy Carter claimed Wednesday that he would have been re-elected and beaten Ronald Reagan in 1980 if had been more “manly” in his dealings with Iran. Interviewed by the show "CNBC Meets," Carter repeated his belief that the failed mission to free American hostages held in Tehran killed his chances, but then added that had he gone to war, America would have rewarded him with a second term in 1980.

My last article for American Thinker was too long. And too short. Too long because the gurus tell us articles should be about 600 words. My story about the president talking to the black caucus about white people inflicting constant racial injustice on black people came in at 1500 words. I was just getting warmed up. I thought it strange that at the same time the president was trying to persuade us that black people are relentless victims, black people were committing acts of racial violence in places like Seattle, Miami, Indianapolis, Bronx, Ferguson, Kansas City, Providence, Minneapolis and 18 miles from where

The quintessential question of Watergate was “what did the President know and when did he know it?” Obamagate, the vast scandal that encompasses an entire presidency, offers a preemptive answer. Obama didn’t know anything and he never knew it. At least not until, like smuggling weapons to druglords, bugging journalists, IRSing his political enemies and killing vets, his right hand found out about what his left hand was doing from the morning paper. After skipping 58% of his daily intelligence briefings in Term 1 and 59% of them in Term 2, he went on 60 Minutes and blamed intelligence agencies for being

Kansas Tea Party supporters are threatening to sit out the state’s pivotal Senate election, potentially dealing another blow to the reelection hopes of Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kan.). Though schisms within the GOP base rarely have such an outsized impact on a general election contest, the lack of support from the conservative base could be devastating to the vulnerable Roberts’s chances against surging independent Greg Orman. Multiple sources tell The Hill that a group of Tea Party leaders in the state are meeting Wednesday to try to decide whether they should go to bat for the incumbent this fall or sit out of

President Obama this week committed professional suicide. Let me explain. There is a theory in politics that once a leader has fired 50 or more people from his or her administration, he or she is finished. The reason being that by creating so many enemies ‘outside the tent’, the tent itself becomes too deluged with poisonous bile to avoid sinking into a quagmire of back-stabbing ignominy. Obama went a lot further than firing 50 people. He managed to single-handedly alienate 200,000 employees in the American intelligence agencies by going on 60 Minutes and ruthlessly chucking them all under a bus

Count House Speaker John Boehner as a fan of Jeb Bush for president. He also hasn´t spoken to Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz in two years. The driving issue of the 2016 election will be “competence,” and if former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush runs, “he’s got a real shot” at winning, the Ohio Republican told the Cincinnati Enquirer on Tuesday. Boehner applauded Bush’s ability to “talk about Republican issues better than most anybody that we’ve got out there,” approving of his “real record of reform” as Florida’s governor from 1999 to 2007. He also called potential candidates Ohio Gov. John

A recently retired Secret Service agent told MailOnline on Thursday that former director Julia Pierson´s resignation will be welcomed by the agency´s rank-and-file because ´people in the service thought she was a joke from Day One.´ He attributed her swift fall from grace to a cadre of ´p***ed off agents who had had enough´ of feeling disrespected by the service´s first female director. ´Putting her in charge was part of the [Obama] administration´s push to feminize the service after the "hookergate" nightmare,´ the agent said, referring to agents who were fired after patronizing prostitutes during a security-check trip to Colombia

A recent fight between Rosie O´Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg has producers at The View looking to add a cool-down room for the ladies. After being cut off by Goldberg during an episode last week so the show could go to commercial, O´Donnell began to express how upset she was and, after being told repeatedly by Goldberg it was not the right time to have that discussion, eventually got cursed out by the Oscar winner. Goldberg told O´Donnell, ´F*** it, I told you to leave it alone and you just don´t want to listen. If you want to go there Rosie,

HOUSTON, Texas -- Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay was found not guilty today by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. This is the highest appellate court in Texas for criminal cases and thus brings DeLay’s political persecution to an end. The court upheld the ruling last year from the Texas 3rd Court of Appeals. That decision tossed out the convictions on money laundering and conspiracy charges. At that time Justice Melissa Goodwin wrote “The fundamental problem with the state´s case was its failure to prove proceeds of criminal activity,” according to a September 19th report on Breitbart News.

A presidential defeat isn’t an easy thing to bounce back from. And Mitt Romney did it twice. So it was understandable that after he lost the presidential race in 2012, he was adamant about closing the door to the possibility of a third campaign. But recently, speculation is whirling that Romney may not be so adamant anymore. When asked if he was running in a New York Times interview published earlier this week, Romney said : “I have nothing to add to the story. We’ve got a lot of people looking at the race,” he said. “We’ll see what happens.” That response, which

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) talks to a lot of people in the course of doing his job, but for some reason, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) isn’t one of them, how very curious. “I’ve not talked to him since he’s been elected,” Boehner revealed in an interview with the Cincinnati Enquirer, and left it at that. Cruz was elected in 2012 and played a major role in recent events that threatened to derail Boehner’s agenda, like the times Cruz attempted to hijack down the federal government over Obamacare, the debt ceiling, border patrol, etc. Boehner didn’t elaborate further, according to

WASHINGTON — About a month from the 2014 midterm elections House Democratic Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi was already predicting a sweep for her party in the 2016 election. Referring to Republicans, Pelosi said, "Their days are numbered. I know that in two years there will be a Democratic Congress and a Democratic President." Pelosi has publicly urged former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to run for president and said if Clinton does decide to run she would win. While she was clearly looking ahead the top House Democrat was careful not to concede the election this November. Pressed about the prediction she made
