Grand Canyon investigating
squirrel-kicking video

Authorities are looking into a viral Internet video that shows a man kicking a squirrel off what appears to be the edge of the Grand Canyon. But park officials say the chances of finding the man are slim."Right now they are working on it," park spokeswoman Kirby-Lynn hedlowski said on Mrs on Monday. "They realise that it´s been seen by a lot of people and that there´s some sensitivity to treatment of wildlife." The short video posted on YouTube shows a shirtless, barefoot man in shorts and a straw cowboy hat leaving a trail of food at the edge of a canyon.

If Caddy Shack were made today, Carl would be on the FBI´s pst wanted list for inhumane treatment of gophers. Age with OP that squirrels are a pst and wreak gardens, yards and homes. Should a guy be drop kicking squirrels into the abyss? No. Should the US gooberment waste enormous resources identifying and prosecuting a guy that eliminated a pest? No. Its our money. Spend it wisely. Capture an illegal that just offed one of our border officers and then we might have a little respect for goobernment enforcement.

FTA: Mr Wright said rangers likely would not pursue animal cruelty under a state statute because that would require them to retrieve the squirrel and prove that it was injured or had died.

I think squirrels know how to fall without getting hurt or they wouldn´t be chasing each other around 100ft up in trees. They have a terminal velocity less than that of a cat which can land on its feet at terminal velocity and survive it (if it´s not too fat).

Thank you #16. So what if its a rodent. They are one of God´s little creatures too! The other night, I went to feed my kitties and Little One was playing with a mouse. Since he was still alive and in good shape, I tried to rescue it. The little guy bit my finger twice, but I held no animosity toward it. Poor thing was scared. Can´t blame him. Among the 9 cats trying to supplement their dinner, he was able to get away.

I don´t believe in cruelty for the sake of entertainment. Survival is one thing...idiot getting his jollies is another. Why not punt the fool over the cliff? He´s probably a Democrat anyway.

Qua speech, Barack Obama’s address Wednesday on the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria was surprisingly terrible: a disorganized mess, insincere and unconvincing. To appreciate just how bad and bizarre it was, compare the president’s speech announcing a new air campaign in Iraq and Syria to Dwight Eisenhower’s 1958 statement on his decision to intervene in Lebanon with 14,000—14,000!—troops. The statement contains no chest-thumping about America’s leadership in science and medicine. No pivot to the auto industry and medical research. Well, that didn’t take long. Just two weeks into the new season of “The View,” co-hosts Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg tore into each other during a commercial break — in front of their stunned studio audience. The spat erupted Thursday after Goldberg interrupted O’Donnell to go to a commercial break before the mother of five was finished commenting in a “Hot Topic” discussion about spanking children on the ABC gabfest. O’Donnell refuses to wear an earpiece to stay in contact with producers while the live show is airing, so she had no clue it was time to stop talking.

President Barack Obama´s intelligence briefings have provided him with specific information since before he won re-election in 2012 about the growing threat of the terror group now known alternatively as ISIS and ISIL, an administration insider told MailOnline on Monday. ´Unless someone very senior has been shredding the president´s daily briefings and telling him that the dog ate them, highly accurate predictions about ISIL have been showing up in the Oval Office since before the 2012 election,´(snip) ´Any time you´re hired by a boss to advise him about what to do in a high-stakes area, and he ignores you for

Jerry Brown on Tuesday signed legislation imposing the nation's first statewide ban on single-use plastic bags, driven to action by a buildup of litter and damage to aquatic ecosystems. A national coalition of plastic bag manufacturers immediately said it would seek a voter referendum to repeal the law, which is scheduled to take effect in July 2015. Under SB270, plastic bags will be phased out of large grocery stores starting next summer and convenience stores and pharmacies in 2016. The law allows grocers to charge a fee of at least 10 cents for using paper bags. State Sen. Alex Padilla, D-Los Angeles,

Democrats think conservatives in general, and Tea Partiers in particular, are stupid. Here’s how to reinforce that belief: Sit out the 2014 congressional elections because your favorite candidate lost his primary bid to an establishment Republican. If you live in Kansas, for example, you can suck your thumb while Democrat ringer Greg Orman beats Republican Senator Pat Roberts. If you’re a Kentucky conservative, you can stay home and b***h about Mitch while Alison “Rubberstamp” Grimes heads to Washington. If you’re in Mississippi, you can stay mad at Thad and allow Travis “no repeal” Childers to win. That’ll show those RINOs! It
