Malia Obama spotted hanging
out with friends (and her burly
Secret Service detail) at Chicago
music festival Lollapalooza

Daily Mail [UK], by Louise Boyle

Malia Obama was spotted attending music festival Lollapalooza in Chicago this weekend. President Obama´s eldest daughter, who recently celebrated her 16th birthday, was attending the gig with friends - and a few burly Secret Service members on Sunday. The teenager attempted to blend in with the crowd in a summery daisy-print skirt and top and some grungy boots suited for the muddy field - but failed to do so. She left after watching the last act Chance The Rapper, where R. Kelly came on stage, on Sunday night. The teenager stayed until the finale was over and then left the park on foot with friends, according to TMZ.

Comments:
Is this really a good idea?? I know she´s got the Secret Service, but I can´t believe Mooch left her daughter alone at an event like this which is ripe for a dangerous situation to occur.

Our tax dollars in action.

I wonder how much it cost to put these brave men in harms way so that Malia could go see a concert?

When you become president, you and your family give up some things that normal people can do. This was stupid, dangerous and a huge waste of taxpayer money.

And, yes, I would say the same thing if this were a Republican president.

Let´s not be ridiculous. She had 2 armed SS agents next to her every minute who could have handled anything that might have occurred. The whole scene looks like a normal outdoor concert What exactly would Mommy had done if she had been there better than the agents? You can see in the photos that it was all teens there, none of whom were holding their Mommy´s hand. This girl is trying to be a normal teenager, leave her and her parents alone for God´s sake. The Bushes didn´t tag along with Jenna and Barbara when they were 16, did they?

We have no idea how long she was there, how many SS protectors were with here - immediately and in the crowd around her, what precautions were taken ahead of time, and so forth.

So we don´t know whether there was potential danger to her or not.

Speculation either way is wheel-spinning as we simply do not know.

I for one have other fish to fry.

At the "normal outdoor concert" put on by Beyoncé and Jay-Z last week in the Rose Bowl, there were "incidents" and one man bit off the tip of another´s finger. Just a "normal outdoor concert". I´m surprised the O girls - including Mooch - weren´t there.

Let’s start with what should be an obvious proposition: Holder’s policies and approach to the job were consistent with the person who appointed him — Barack Obama. Lest Republicans forget, Obama was elected and reelected to the presidency by large margins in 2008 and 2012. First, congressional accusations against Holder on the controversial “Fast and Furious” “gun walking” program have been proven factually wrong.
