Is Barack Obama Plotting a Coup?
Power Line, by John Hinderaker

Original Article

That seems like an awfully strong word, but it is the term that distinguished law professor Glenn Reynolds, no hysteric, uses to describe the Obama administration’s oft-reported plan to issue executive amnesty to five or six million illegal immigrants in violation of federal law. Glenn’s characterization is a fair one. When a tyrant asserts the right to rule by decree in a state that has formerly been subject to the rule of law, he is commonly described as carrying out a coup d’etat. That is just what the Obama administration has done, and reportedly will continue to do. When Obama changed

--It should be obvious to even a fool that the aim of the Democrats overall is to arrive at one-party rule by all means possible--cheating on elections, flooding the country with potential Democrats, etc.,--

I will say it again. Obama is worse than Hitler because at the very least, Hitler wanted to strengthen his nation ...Obama´s target is to destroy USA and Americans. So Obama is worse than Hitler and the Nazis.

Is? Hell he already has! That´s what he meant by "fundamentally change" America! Fast and Furious, obamacare, IRS, DACA, EPA, cutting the military size and spending, VA, Benghazi, Gitmo prisoner exchange and releases and this is just a partial list! Good to know that the Republicans have taken impeachment and spending cuts off the table. These are the only two remedies in the Constitution for a rogue President. My guess is the establishment GOP has accepted the coup d´etat rather than be called racist by the msm and Democrats. Going to be a difficult two and half years until November 2016 and if Hillary gets elected the Republic will be destroyed completely.

I believe a coup is already underway. After the 2008 election, Valerie Jarrett said, "we will be ready to RULE from day one." That was a clear indicator of where they were going. They knew that in Barack Obama they had the perfect vehicle to achieve what they had been plotting and planning for years. They knew they had the perfect storm brewing with Obama, the media, rabid democratic ideologues, and an ignorant electorate.

Right now, these people are so close to achieving their goal, it is frightening. Obama´s government has grown exponentially and he has decimated the military. He has driven a wedge in race relations. He has thrown open our border and encourages illegals to flood through. In his mind, he is entitled to rule over us. He has the mind of a dictator and unfortunately, has many supporters. There is a figurative balcony in his future and I believe he means to step out on it and the people will cheer.

Not a completely accurate use of the term. "Coup d´etat" literally means "a blow to the state" - a quick revolt, more along the lines of Castro´s Cuban revolution. Obama and the totalitarian socialists seek to expand Federal government power, not overthrow it, and they have done it gradually, over decades, most recently by installing leftwing judges who over time are transforming America in ways that cound never be achieved by democratic process. If Obama were to refuse to relinquish power at the end of his term, I expect there might be a real Coup d´etat.

#5: Good one. Just picked this up from Neal Boortz:

**It is said that no decision is made without input from Valerie Jarrett. As she was heading Obama’s transition team Jarrett famously said: “We will be ready to rule from day one.” Not “lead” …. RULE. Funny, isn’t it … all this time people thought they were electing a leader.

**Now we have Obama’s point man on gun control telling us that that Barack Obama can take executive action to deal with gun control that “we believe is required." Of course he will. To hell with the Bill of Rights.

**Fascist dictators, by the way, are generally well-liked by the population. Hitler was loved. What ever you do, don’t read the classic book “The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich.” It will ruin whatever good mood you have left.**

I am not as worried as some of you about obama declaring himself king. First, it would be a real hassle for a man who could live the life of a King without the hassles.

Second, even though the military command has seriously been altered, he would still have to deal with a military that mostly loves America.

We do have to deal with the msm in some fashion.

We must take the Senate in the fall. We must vote.

We have to find a dynamic America loving leader and rally around that person in 2016. The msm will lie and cheat for ever who is the Democratic canadate.

#11how I wish that was true, but sadly ,most are just waiting fo the next sports game on TV. I see no fight left in the American people. The billionaire class could give a cr&p,they can buy who or what they want. The welfare class will fight to keep their government scraps but the middle class , they will be happy to just keep their lives as the government takes everything from them. One more election like 2012 , the last middle class white male just turn off the lights

What really concerns me is Homeland Security. I believe they are being morphed into the Civilian Security Force that Obama referred to. Obama has placed a fellow traveler in charge and we´d be foolish to believe that he wouldn´t do whatever he is ordered to do.

Obama´s close inner circle now consists of fellow beige loyalists and a few white buffoons. However, he´s only as safe as his Secret Service detail or have they been replaced yet by the Nation of Islam Bow Tie Corps.

The word "conspiracy" has been tossed about with gymnastic skill by right-wing crazies. They were laughed at by left-wing crazies and by a good deal of so-called conservative Republicans, both inside and outside Capitol Hill.

Now, (and even back then) the idea of a long-planned conspiracy to conduct a coup doesn´t seem so right-wing crazy, does it?

One has only to observe what has happened to America under Obama´s reign of terror, both economically, regulatory, legally and politcally. We are a shell of American greatness. Half our people are leeching our taxes, businesses are regulated out of existence, the coal industry is being destroyed, oil is NOT being drilled or pipelined, and the POTUS is breaking every law he is permitted to break by whim.

Yes, I believe he is plotting a coup. But only now is it beginning to peek its hydra-headed face out from behind its black-and-white-checkered headwrap.

The Democrats, Mr. Obama, and the media, having avoided the right´s warnings for years and having ridiculed us as PMS-crazed hysterics, will be totally responsible for the fall heard ´round the world -- if it gets that far.

There is still time for Democrats in Congress to wake up and save America. The GOP has been trying but spinning its wheels on what really matters -- survival of America.

The ´coup´ began many years before 2008. The first step was to nullify Article II and get an individual fathered by an alien, had frankly admitted he was ´African´, nominated and then elected. Would you have thought possible? The second was to get a formidable opponent like Bill Clinton to shut up and sit down. Would you have THAT was possible? Unfortunately, those hanging their hopes on the 22nd Amendment are going to find that 0bama´s (if that is his name) handlers are already past that obstacle.

FTA: "When a tyrant asserts the right to rule by decree in a state that has formerly been subject to the rule of law, he is commonly described as carrying out a coup d’etat.

Dittos #13 and others above. A "soft coup" is already in progress. Too bad we don´t have an opposition party to do anything about it. Boehner has already ruled out any effective Constitutional measures. His lawsuit will go nowhere. Even in the unlikely event that he wins in court, the Emperor will simply ignore the ruling. Cut off funds? Same result.

Will there be an election in 2016? Are you sure? One man, one (or two) vote(s), one time.

Impeachment is the Constitutional remedy for just this situation, but all the DC pundits dismiss it as too politically risky. "Damn the torpedoes", just do the right thing:

Impeach now.
Reid kills it.
Campaign on it. - This lays the foundation that Andrew McCarthy calls for in his book.
Win a mandate in NOvember.
Re-impeach in January. - Double jeopardy does not apply here.
Apply heat to enough Dems to get the 2/3 vote in Fegurary. - Worried about winning in 2016, some will be willing to throw the Emperor "under the bus".

"Crazy" Joe will not be worse than the traitor currently in the WH.

Too bad no one has re-read the Declaration of Independence. The Founders faced personal risks far worse than the political jeopardy that has frozen them in their shoes.

Rest assured, the GOP leadership will not do this.

The GOP cowards need to be replaced in NOvember. A new party to replace the entire feckless GOP is more and more in order.

Time is running out.

Obama is no doubt lawless and daring the GOP to impeach him. He is also daring anyone to go beyond civil and constitutional means and take to armed revolt. He is preparing the ground to crush that. He can be lawless but the citizens cannot. They must respect the law. Our gutless GOP leaders who are in a position to resist must have a clear eyed vision of what their timidity may lead to. Boehner and McConnell should realize that the nation is at stake not just their careers and start giving leadership NOW. Why would voters expect leadership from them in the future if they don´t show any now when it is critically needed? They could easily squander the fall election by inaction now! Since the use of the Power of the Purse and impeachment are abandoned it is high time for the Levin Plan of States asserting their constitutional powers and SOON.

I disagree. A coup involves a forceful takeover. BHO is only able to act this way because Congress allows him to. If Congress is in on the coup well then they are still acting as our representatives.
#11,Americans have always answered the call but not before we have tried everything else. What did Churchill say, something like - you can count on the Americans to do the right thing when they have exhausted every other possibility.
#19, I suspect those body bags are more likely for the catastrophe that glow bull warming/climate change is suppose to cause any day now. These people believe that stuff as much as Millerites believed the end of the world was at hand.
BHO is being allowed to act this way. That is our elected representatives enable him to do so. In six years Boehner has not acted to cut off the funds or impeach executive officials or take other such action, knowing that BHO needed to be controlled.
BHO coup is hogwash. Our elected officials are out of control. That is something we can change without bloodshed ... it´s just that we are Americans. We will wake up and are. There are conservatives making their way to the top with more following. Keep voting conservative and don´t listen to the party cheerleaders - they got us into this mess.

I am so glad to see that there are people out there who are as concerned as I am!

Remember all the ammunition the government bought with the excuse that target practice uses up a lot of ammunition. That much? Since when?

Why all these young men being dispensed around our country and into the cities of our states, including Alaska?

We have a lot of Muslim worship temples in every state. Are they solely for devotion?

Why such lawlessness at the boarder. Why were men shipped from southern countries?

In every direction there is disruption and confusion. Obama seems to be absolutely content to eat well, sleep well, golf often, laugh at opposition with assuredness and we all stand around watching.

I keep seeing posts about cutting back the ranks at Captain and Major. As I recall in the Marines the cut off was at Major. You can´t keep promoting officers as you will soon have to many Generals and Admirals. The culling process begins at Major. It is different in the enlisted ranks. You can´t have too many Senior NCO´s as THEY are who actually run the military.

The amateur or his handlers planed this from the start. You get people to stand down by calling them racist, or so they thought. But they used it to push one issue after the other. When zero does not get his way, it´s called "racist" or the new one "hatin´"! Jonathan Turley, a lefty professor who voted for the clown, was one of the first to go public about what this gay dude has done already!
Notice his last ´press´ conference. His body language, not answering more than 2 questions, talking his usual piddle full of lies. He was soooooo ´I am tired of you all, I will do what I want´! He admires the system they have in China. An incompetent, petulant, undereducated community organizer needs that, no back talk, you will do as I say. And I am taking this country down!~

I am not one to cut any politician -- including Republicans -- any slack. That being said, the GOP is in a tough spot. It has to balance toughness with Obama against being painted as racists, bigots, and homophobes.

To do anything, the GOP has to win. And to win, the GOP has to do something. Not the easiest balance to maintain!

Under the liberal Democrat concept of amnesty, once legalized, the legalized aliens get to bring their close foreign relatives here in unlimited numbers. So if 20 million illegal aliens are legalized in a big liberal Democrat amnesty like the bill that was passed by the Senate, they could very easily, when all is said and done, bring in another 20 million claimed close relatives, that jacks up the legalized alien count to about 40 million aliens, the vast majority being poor, uneducated and generally unskilled people. Since the USA is only creating about two million new jobs each year, with most being part-time jobs, a huge number of those "New Americans" as the Democrats call them, will have to be highly subsidized through social welfare and cash redistribution programs. It will fall on the American middle class to meet those alien´s needs as defined by the liberal Democrats. Once all those aliens are legalized, the liberal Democrats will start pushing to give them some sort of streamlined duel-nationality status that would give them US voting rights, knowing that the vast majority would become Democrat voters. If the Republicans facilitate any of that Democrat agenda, the Republicans will be committing long-term political suicide, and will never in our lifetimes be able to win future presidential elections resulting from them handing the Democrats tens of millions of new foreign born voters.

Couple of thoughts. If, by some miracle the Pubies should impeach AND remove Obozo, Biden´s ascension to POTUS just might not be so bad. After all, the Dims would no longer have a racist card to play.

As for a coup being Obozo´s plan. I don´t think that that is out of the realm. He would love nothing more than to hold the position he now has for the rest of his life. But, there are some things to consider. Such as, we still have a 2nd amendment to use. And Americans still own some 2 million firearms. Next, those who believe that we would have a civil war, I don´t think it would be much. After all, not too many Dims own guns. And unlike the Civil War of the past, we would be fighting to preserve the ENTIRE nation, not just to re-unite two factions. And lastly, don´t think that the entire military would jump through to hoop for Obozo. The majority of them don´t like Obozo and they know full well that they don´t have to obey UNLEGAL orders no matter who issues them. You might find out that a large percentage of them would join us in our quest. I´m ready to it to happen. The sooner the better.

Maybe yes Maybe no
last year I posed the question what if any President refused to leave office at the end of their term to several individuals who I
believed could answer the question. Independent of each other they all provided the same two word answer.
After much thought I came to the conclusion that these individuals were correct.
so rest assured that the founding fathers of this country were wise enough to plan for this type of attempt on the Constitution.

We are doomed.

The dictator´s forces have superior weaponry, defensive measures, planning, motivation and preparedness. They are organized; we are a rabble. Unlike the Revolutionary War or the movie, "Red Dawn," there is no place to hide. Surveillance technology, drones, etc., are much too sophisticated.

We have limited reserves. The majority of the indoctrinated youth of this country will either side with the dictator...or go on playing their video games.

The situation looks bleak. So, as usual, we turn to Sir Winston Churchill.

"If you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a small chance of survival. There may even be a worse case: you may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves." -- Winston Churchill

Doubt the left needs to keep Obama in place or needs a coup to keep its agenda going forward. There are many lefty Democrats out there. There are also quite a few Republican ´critics´ who would behave much like the left if necessary. The Democrats are in your face. The sneaks are the RINO Republicans.

The only reason for Obama to plot a coup is to create even more disorder and weaken the country more. The left would like that and support it. Can Obama delegate a coup? Have to imagine that Obama would rather be living large and partying. Would be real slick if the left could start a coup but keep their fingerprints off it.

A coup should not be ruled out.

Personally, I don´t think he could spell "coup" He is a puppet on a string. This goes way beyond his personal trainer VJ.
She is so much in control that he feels ok to get stoned and as someone here said "The cheese is sliding off his cracker"

We all know this, but why are We the only ones concerned ? We have no leadership.
When you call your elected officials and get through immediately, that says it all. Typing and griping doesn´t solve anything.
Congress is on recess for five weeks. Will they hold town hall meetings ? Will you attend ? Will anyone call them ?

While Americans rolled over and played dead and cried "Not in my backyard" a lot happened without our permission. Why keep sending back the same people and expecting different results ?

The few that stand up like Bachmann and Cruz are put down as nut cases. My conservative congressman voted "Yes" to give Zippy more funding.

When the border becomes the next Gaza, what will anyone do ? By then We will be a third world country. Numbers don´t lie.

Obama is the TIC in the armpit of America... Taunter-In-Chief. His only thrill left in life is to torture American citizens with threats of illegal invasion.

I don´t understand why a group of American citizens couldn´t band together and sue the moron for failure to faithfully execute his oath of office? Seems like every single American citizen would have "standing" in any court of law.

It’s already happened. We all used to be so proud that this is a nation of laws. He has crushed that concept. It changes everything, because even in everyday life now, you can no longer go around figuring out what to do, how to do it, etc, because no law means anything. It was a great country!!!!!

The coup took place in January, 2009. Obama is merely implementing the Jarrett policies, using the power the voters gave him, that´s GAVE him, past tense. Enjoy what liberties you have while some still exist because they are going away and are never coming back and sadly, the voters want it that way and the other two branches are happily and willfully irrelevant.

What do you mean "plotting a coup?"? A quite coup is already in progress and is quite successful. It all started with Obamacare. It had to be passed before we knew what was in it. That is just the beginning of the list ladies and gentlemen. We have a domestic enemy within this nation and it is the Democratic Party led by King Putt, Nasty Peloser, and Dirty Harry. The Three Horsemen of Fundamental Transformation. No one can stop them. Republicans are frozen in fear and they are like scared little girls in the dark. All Tea Party opposition is fought tooth fang and claw by Democrats and Establishment Republcants. We are doomed.

‘In America’s rearview mirror, what we’re seeing grow smaller by the minute is only The Rule of Law. No big deal. Not to worry. Everything’s under control.’

The above is what Obama and his string-pulling puppeteers are hoping we will buy into.

Lois Lerner breaks silence

Employers won’t hire her. She’s been berated with epithets like “dirty Jew.” Federal agents have guarded her house because of death threats. And she’s spent hundreds of thousands of dollars defending herself against accusations she orchestrated a coverup in a scandal that has come to represent everything Americans hate about the IRS. Lois Lerner is toxic — and she knows it. But she refuses to recede into anonymity or beg for forgiveness for her role in the IRS tea party-targeting scandal. “I didn’t do anything wrong,” Lerner said in her first press interview since the scandal broke 16 months ago. “I’m

The United Nations Climate Summit will begin in New York this Tuesday, but environmental activists didn’t wait. All day Sunday, they filled the streets of Manhattan for a march that featured Al Gore, New York City mayor Bill de Blasio, and various Hollywood actors. But they certainly didn’t act like a movement that was winning. There was a tone of fatalism in the comments of many with whom I spoke; they despair that the kind of radical change they advocate probably won’t result from the normal democratic process. It’s no surprise then that the rhetoric of climate-change activists has become increasingly

Obama readies vetoes as

If Republicans take control of the Senate as expected in November, President Obama may need to stock up on ink for his veto pen. The emboldened new Senate Republican majority will likely pass a flurry of bills aimed at dismantling Obama´s signature healthcare law, environmental regulations aimed at climate change, and executive orders on subjects both big and small. Obama, who has wielded his veto pen just twice since entering the Oval Office, would find himself in a vastly changed political landscape. Among other things, Republicans would force the president to either veto or compromise on rolling back parts of Obamacare, approving the

Gen. Michael Nagata is promising to build a new force to destroy ISIS, but lawmakers worry he has been given an impossible mission. As lawmakers prepared to take a risky and fateful vote on Obama’s plan to train and equip the Syrian rebels, the man who assured them it could be done was Gen. Michael Nagata, Obama’s point man for the mission to build an ISIS-killing army in Syria. There are skeptics both inside and outside the government who doubt Obama’s new plan to arm the Syrian rebels can work. First of all, the administration has said for years that the moderate

The Rick Scott and Charlie Crist campaigns in Florida and the groups that support each of them have an almost incomprehensible amount of money. Experts predict $150 million or more will be spent this year to influence the choice of Florida’s next governor. Most of these millions are being spent on TV attack ads that grossly exaggerate the perfidy of the incumbent governor and of the former governor who would like his office back. (Of course it’s a real challenge to exaggerate the inconstancy and vacuousness of Crist. I’m not even sure it can be done. But perfidy is something else.) Ads

The enduring myth of

My seventh-grade son recently wrote a U.S. History paper extolling the virtues of President Franklin Roosevelt’s New Deal. “It ended the Great Depression,” he wrote with great certainty. He’s only 12 and parroting what the history texts and his teachers told him. That’s his excuse. What’s Ken Burns’? Mr. Burns’ docudrama on the Roosevelts — for those who weren’t bored to tears — repeats nearly all the worn-out fairy tales of the FDR presidency, including what I call the most enduring myth of the 20th century, which is that FDR’s avalanche of alphabet-soup government programs ended the Great Depression. We understand why the family of one of the newsmen ISIS beheaded last month is bitter over Washington’s refusal to pay ransom to win his release. Still, the hard truth is that this refusal may help save many more lives by reducing the incentives for terrorists to take our citizens hostage in the first place. “Our government was very clear that no ransom was going to be paid” to rescue captured reporter James Foley, his mother, Diane Foley, told The New York Times. “It was horrible, and continues to be horrible.” Months before they murdered him, Foley’s kidnappers demanded cash and the release

In fact, at 12:58 Eastern time, there was to be a moment of silence followed by “a blare of noise — a symbolic sounding of the alarm on climate change — from horns, whistles and cellphone

Images emerging from the Middle East of beheadings and mass executions by the radical Islamic extremist group known as the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) are profoundly troubling. With the United States and its allies now committed to the fight against this rising threat, we have to take into account the result, which is the potential for an increased threat of an ISIS-inspired attack in New York. The recent call by ISIS on social media urging its followers to attack popular locations overseas such as Times Square only heightens this concern. Some say not to worry about ISIS as a

It was once said, “religion is designed to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable.” Jesus’ parables – short stories with moral lessons – were likewise designed to afflict, to draw us in but leave us uncomfortable. These teachings can be read as being about divine love and salvation, sure. But, their first listeners – first century Jews in Galilee and Judea – heard much more challenging messages. Only when we hear the parables as Jesus’ own audience did can we fully experience their power and find ourselves surprised and challenged today. He was a leading figure in one of the biggest climate change marches to date. But it seems Robert F Kennedy Jr was not so forthcoming when it came to questions about his own carbon footprint. Confronted by a reporter asking if he would give up his phone and car, the environmental lawyer became visibly irate before grabbing the microphone and accusing her of ´destroying democracy´ as a member of the press. The interview in New York yesterday afternoon started with a conversation about the number of flyers produced for the event, which Kennedy Jr claimed was necessary to garner ´people power´.

Previously unpublished correspondence between Hillary Clinton and the late left-wing organizer Saul Alinsky reveal new details about her relationship with the controversial Chicago activist and shed light on her early ideological development. Clinton met with Alinsky several times in 1968 while writing a Wellesley college thesis about his theory of community organizing. Clinton’s relationship with Alinsky, and her support for his philosophy, continued for several years after she entered Yale law school in 1969, two letters obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show. It’s not because Democrats are rallying around a particular mission or set of candidates; it’s because Republicans and conservatives aren’t. It seems like I’m always writing on issues no one wants to hear are mistakes, such as messaging or social issues. But I don’t care. These things have to be said. If these columns are received like a gaseous cousin on a long car trip through the desert, so be it. Crack a window… If things continue on their current course, the GOP will not retake the Senate.
