The Ben Rhodes Story: How A
Hack Writer Crafted the Benghazi
Talking Points of a Lifetime

Daily Caller, by Patrick Howley

Original Article

Republican South Carolina Rep. Trey Gowdy, chairman of the Benghazi Select Committee, said this week that no witnesses are off limits in his committee’s investigation into the Benghazi cover-up. So who will he subpoena? Here’s a suggestion: How about Ben Rhodes. Ben Rhodes, the 37-year old little brother of CBS News president David Rhodes, is a national security adviser to President Obama. He also happens to be an Upper East Side literary type who took a Master’s in Fiction from NYU. Real serious artist. Rhodes was the one who edited the White House’s Benghazi talking points to focus the blame on

A hack writer for NSC, a community activist fiction for POTUS, a delusional flasher for VP and a congenital liar for SOS - the world is in flames and a dead Ambassador and three murdered Patriots are the first Victims of the Destroyer.
Remember Benghazi Four and avenge their deaths and these traitors Lies.

Sadly, when you get past the mockery, you have to admit that Mr. Rhodes may have this idea for a script in his back pocket - maybe in ten years time it will be a movie of the week on CBS (if there still is a CBS).

Group whose complaint led to Rick Perry

When Rick Perry warned darkly that those behind his indictment “will be held accountable,” Craig McDonald felt a target on his back. It wouldn’t be the first time. McDonald heads the left-leaning, nonprofit group Texans for Public Justice, which has rankled politicians in both parties for years by tracking campaign contributions with a ruthless efficiency to reveal big money in politics. Texans for Public Justice filed the complaint against Perry that led to his indictment on coercion and abuse of authority. The Republican governor is charged with trying to force the Democratic Travis County district attorney from office by threatening

PRESIDENT OBAMA again appeared to dismiss the conflicts of the Middle East at a fundraiser Friday, saying the region has “been challenging for quite a while” and that “things are much less dangerous now than they were 20 years ago, 25 years ago or 30 years ago.” That may or may not be a valid analytical point, but it is not one the U.S. president should be making, as was brought vividly home when a video apparently depicting the brutal beheading of another American journalist was released Tuesday by the Islamic State. The barbaric murder of Steven J. Sotloff gave Mr.

I have great respect for Dr. Carson’s medical work, and look forward to working with him to repeal and replace Obamacare with common-sense reforms to ensure that every American has access to

Legal questions complicate Dem´s

Despite filing papers with the Kansas secretary of State withdrawing from the Senate race late Wednesday, Democrat Chad Taylor may be stuck on the ballot this fall. Two election law statutes have raised questions about whether Taylor gave sufficient cause to remove himself from the ballot, and, if so, whether Democrats must ultimately choose a candidate to replace him. Kansas Republican Party Executive Director Clay Barker told The Hill that Taylor is now back on the secretary of State’s list of general election candidates, while a legal team analyzes the statutes. One statute declares that, except under specific circumstances, “no person who

Because it gives meaning to life, that’s why. It’s a commonplace to anyone who’s studied the rise of fascism, of which Islamofascism is the most recent variety. The main problem with democratic capitalism is that it’s so successful, and therefore very boring. A generation or two of European intellectuals bemoaned the great triumph of science and industry, which they portrayed as relentlessly stifling the human soul, burying us under a hill of material things. The Germans produced the most moving such literature — think Nietzsche, think Hesse, not accidentally the cult hero of the American revolt against materialism in the 1960s —

Barack Obama encouraged people to compare him to Abraham Lincoln. For instance, here’s the opening from a 2007 ABC News piece co-written by Jake Tapper: Standing outside the Historic Old State Capitol building where Abraham Lincoln gave a famous speech condemning slavery and calling for the United States to unite, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., a 45-year-old with two years of federal legislative experience under his belt, today announced that he will claim the mantle of Lincoln and as president heal a divided nation. The piece goes on: But most of all Springfield allowed Obama to immodestly and continuously compare himself to Lincoln. It was

The number of people living in the U.S. illegally last year was steady at 11.3 million, the Pew Research Center reported Wednesday. But with the passing of time, the illegal population now has been in the U.S. much longer than was the case in previous years. In 2013, the typical undocumented resident had been living in the U.S. for 12.7 years, Pew found, up from a median of less than eight years a decade earlier. Those numbers could bolster the case made by many Democrats, and some Republicans, that the illegal immigration problem is not growing worse, and that those already

Prime real estate on the Mall, a world-famous architect—what could go wrong? Everything, it seems: The Eisenhower family hates Frank Gehry’s design and its ‘blizzard of tapestries.’ When the Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Commission set about creating a memorial to the 34th president, it sought a design that would be visually startling and would inspire future generations of schoolchildren learning for the first time about the boy from the plains of Kansas who rose to great heights as the commander of U.S. troops on D-Day. Honoring Eisenhower should be easy. He was a popular two-term president who drew little controversy, and depicting

First it was the Thousand Year Reich. Now it’s the Global Caliphate. The pattern is as simple as it is stark. It always begins with the unruly rabble-rousers. A curiosity at first, then a police problem, then a raised governmental eyebrow. Eventually, the rabble-rousers attract more rabble. Now the jails begin to fill. Then the streets. There is violence. Then the sympathizers appear, making the case that, well, when you think about it, the growing rabble has a point or two or three. Money starts to flow in from supporters as well as the sympathizers. The rabble rousers finally get

According to the Office of Refugee Resettlement 30,340 illegal immigrant children were secretly released to sponsors across the United States in the first six months of this year. That number has increased by 7,000 in the month of August to 37,477. The Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) released information on the numbers of illegal immigrant children released to sponsors in the United States from January 1 until July 31, 2014.

This year, Secretary of State John Kerry, with his customary light touch, informed the Munich Security Conference: “Today’s status quo absolutely, to a certainty, I promise you 100-percent, cannot be maintained. It’s not sustainable.” What is usually meant by this assertion is something quite specific: that in the “occupied territories” of Gaza

Maybe the news that a second American has been beheaded will force President Obama to recognize he has no more compelling priority today than stopping the Islamic State and its bloodletting. In its latest barbarity, ISIS aimed to project American weakness to the world. Just before he beheaded Steven Sotloff, the ISIS executioner explained the butchery this way: I’m back, Obama, and I’m back because of your arrogant foreign policy towards the Islamic State, because of your insistence on continuing your bombings.?.?. It was only a few weeks ago that Gannett did the same. USA Today is Gannett´s flagship publication and enjoys the highest circulation of any other American newspaper. FRIENDSHIP, Maine -- Imagine Cape Cod without cod. Maine without lobster. The region´s famous rocky beaches invisible, obscured by constant high waters. It´s already starting to happen. The culprit is the warming seas - and in particular the Gulf of Maine, whose waters are heating up faster than 99 percent of the world´s oceans, scientists say. Long-established species of commercial fish, like cod, herring and northern shrimp, are departing for colder waters. Black sea bass, blue crabs and new species of squid - all highly unusual for the Gulf - are turning up in fishermen´s nets. The Gulf of Maine´s warming reflects broader

The home-cooked meal has long been romanticized, from ’50s-era sitcoms to the work of star food writer Michael Pollan, who once wrote, “far from oppressing them, the work of cooking approached in the proper spirit offered a kind of fulfillment and deserved an intelligent woman’s attention.” In recent years, the home-cooked meal has increasingly been offered up as the solution to our country´s burgeoning nutrition-related health problems of heart disease and diabetes. But while home-cooked meals are typically healthier than restaurant food, sociologists Sarah Bowen, Sinikka Elliott, and Joslyn Brenton from North Carolina State University argue that the stress that

The former mayor, a strategic adviser to the PGA, says he wants to make the game “simpler” by shortening rounds to 12 holes. “We have to make it simpler and easier. Let’s shorten the course and make playing 12 holes instead of 18 holes the norm,” Giuliani declared in a Hamptons magazine cover story with golfer Raymond Floyd. “I’ve played tennis for 20 years, and I’ve never played five sets like the pros do,” he explained. “I’ll play three sets with my pals. So why play 18 holes? That’s what pros do to win tournaments.” Giuliani
