Wiretapped: Israel Eavesdropped on
John Kerry in Mideast Talks

SPIEGEL INTERNATIONAL, by Staff

Original Article

SPIEGEL has learned from reliable sources that Israeli intelligence eavesdropped on US Secretary of State John Kerry during Middle East peace negotiations. In addition to the Israelis, at least one other intelligence service also listened in as Kerry mediated last year between Israel, the Palestinians and the Arab states, several intelligence service sources told SPIEGEL. Revelations of the eavesdropping could further damage already tense relations between the US government and Israel. During the peak stage of peace talks last year, Kerry spoke regularly with high-ranking negotiating partners in the Middle East. At the time, some of these calls were not made

Israel knows that whatever Kerry and his jug-eared handler say publicly is going to be a lie, so they "trust but verify." Who can blame them?

Kerry spoke on unsecured communications, just like the idiot he is. Liberals have such a rainbows and unicorns attitude they believe their stuff just does not stink and that the world is what they believe it to be. Israel is fighting for it´s life every single day...no illusions for them. People can say a single wrong word and put their lives and the lives of their families at dire risk. It is not a game to be played carelessly.

For Kerry, it´s all about him getting a mention to the Nobel PP committee.

If our buffoonish Secretary of State used an insecure line to transmit sensitive information, the Israelis weren´t the only ones taking advantage of an opportunity. Besides, the Obama administration has at every turn shown itself to be perfidious and untrustworthy. I would say that the BHO Gang has shamed me from calling myself American, but I don´t consider them American.

What a hilarious article. I almost stopped reading after this line:

"At the time, some of these calls were not made on encrypted equipment, but instead on normal telephones, with the conversations transmitted by satellite." The village idiot knows that phones and satellites are "public comms." Lurch´s Stupid Meter reading is not as high as that of the VI.

Then, at the end, was this sadly hilarious lie: "Still, there are no doubts about fundamental support for Israel on the part of the United States." [Well, the US, yes; the US government, no.]

Qua speech, Barack Obama’s address Wednesday on the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria was surprisingly terrible: a disorganized mess, insincere and unconvincing. To appreciate just how bad and bizarre it was, compare the president’s speech announcing a new air campaign in Iraq and Syria to Dwight Eisenhower’s 1958 statement on his decision to intervene in Lebanon with 14,000—14,000!—troops. The statement contains no chest-thumping about America’s leadership in science and medicine. No pivot to the auto industry and medical research. Eisenhower simply explained what had been done, and why.

Some Capitol Hill lawmakers are baffled. What does President Obama want from Congress as he begins the U.S. military escalation in Iraq and Syria? The question wasn´t answered by the president´s much-anticipated speech Wednesday night. First, Obama seemed to tell Congress to mind its own business. "I have the authority to address the threat from ISIL," he said, indicating he didn´t need or want any permission from the legislative branch to fight the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria. Then Obama added, "But I believe we are strongest as a nation when the president and Congress work together. With his address to the nation Wednesday evening, President Obama revealed that he is a leader in deep denial about the threat the United States faces, and about the steps that are necessary to deal with it. In his remarks, Obama offered up a series of delusions, each of which point to the ultimate defeat of the United States in the war he has embarked upon. Delusion #1: Obama still thinks ISIS is the JV team. Here’s how he began his speech: We can’t erase every trace of evil from the world, and small groups of killers have the capacity to do great harm. Washington - The current threat posed by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria, or ISIS, will test not only the resolve and strategic judgment of America and its allies, but also our nation’s fidelity to a basic constitutional principle. Our Constitution reserves to Congress the power to declare war and designates our president as the commander in chief, but our recent history has been characterized by executive overreach and legislative abdication in the initiation of military action. The current crisis gives us an opportunity to restore the proper balance between the branches. America’s history since 2001 should compel us to fix the way
