Jon Voight Pens Letter to ´Ignorant´
Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz on Israel:
´Hang Your Heads in Shame´ (Guest Column)

Hollywood Reporter, by Jon Voight

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 8/2/2014 11:17:16 PM

My name is Jon Voight and I am more than angry, I am heartsick that people like Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem could incite anti-Semitism all over the world and are oblivious to the damage they have caused. They are obviously ignorant of the whole story of Israel’s birth, when in 1948 the Jewish people were offered by the UN a portion of the land originally set aside for them in 1921, and the Arab Palestinians were offered the other half. The Arabs rejected the offer, and the Jews accepted, only to be attacked by five surrounding Arab countries committed to driving them into the sea. But the Israelis won.

Comments:
When a conservative can use his celebrity status to get the truth out, it´s a wonderful thing. Great history lesson. Thank you, Mr. Voight. Israel has a good friend in you.

Also a nod to Charlie Rose on The Week for saying Jewish settlers left the Gaza, just gave it up, and this is what happens.

Ditto, OP. Thank you to Jon Voight for using his celebrity for the good of educating the ignorant. Too few people with a public voice realize how important it is to do what Jon Voight did.

It isn´t enough to simply criticize the wrong-headed comments and actions with no explanation of why. Too often the opportunity is missed to cut through the propaganda to educate and inform.

Thank you again, Jon Voight.

95% of the other Hollywood conservatives still seem to be hiding in the closet. It sure would have been nice to have heard from them before the 2012 debacle, as it would be now, only months away from an absolutely crucial midterm. Jon Voight has been carrying this torch nearly alone and could use some help. Americans look up to and listen to celebrities, and need to know that not all are irresponsible, custard-headed Obama worshippers.

Turkey´s parliament voted 298-98 on Thursday in favor of launching military operations across the border in Syria and Iraq, in a bid to combat the self-proclaimed "Islamic State" (IS). Despite opposition from two parties, many had viewed passage of the motion as a foregone conclusion. The legislation comes as IS attacks have caused thousands to flee the Syrian town officially known as Ayn al-Arab, but called Kobani by its Kurdish majority population, across the border from Turkey, despite airstrikes by the US-led coalition on the group´s positions in Syria since last week and in Iraq since early August.

Who’ll be the next attorney general? Washington’s favorite parlor game is filling Cabinet vacancies; I like playing as much as the next pundit. (Keep reading!) Still, the more telling question is: Why are we playing this game at all? Why wasn’t the White House, which knew for months that Eric H. Holder Jr. was itching to leave, ready to roll with a successor? More important, given Holder’s foot inching toward the door, why did it not time this departure more intelligently — rather than having it arrive just before an election and the prospect of Democrats losing control of the Senate?

But it never worked, and not a single Oregonian was able to sign up for health care from start to finish. So now, Oregon is in the process of pulling the plug on the site and switching over to the federal exchange and HealthCare.gov -- but the question is, how quickly they can do it. “We need to move forward and do the best thing for the people of Oregon,” Republican State Sen. President Obama this week committed professional suicide. Let me explain. There is a theory in politics that once a leader has fired 50 or more people from his or her administration, he or she is finished. The reason being that by creating so many enemies ‘outside the tent’, the tent itself becomes too deluged with poisonous bile to avoid sinking into a quagmire of back-stabbing ignominy. Obama went a lot further than firing 50 people. He managed to single-handedly alienate 200,000 employees in the American intelligence agencies by going on 60 Minutes and ruthlessly chucking them all under a bus

HOUSTON, Texas -- Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay was found not guilty today by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. This is the highest appellate court in Texas for criminal cases and thus brings DeLay’s political persecution to an end. The court upheld the ruling last year from the Texas 3rd Court of Appeals.
