Barney Frank on Obamacare rollout:
‘They just lied to people’

Washington Times, by Kellan Howell

Original Article

Posted By:LittleHoodedMonk, 8/2/2014 5:18:40 PM

Former Massachusetts Rep. Barney Frank questioned President Obama’s honesty regarding the rollout of Obamacare in a recent interview. He told The Huffington Post on Friday that he was shocked at the mishandling of the new health care law. “The rollout was so bad, and I was appalled—I don’t understand how the president could have sat there and not been checking on that on a weekly basis,” the former Democratic congressman told the website. “But frankly, he should never have said as much as he did, that if you like your current health care plan, you can keep it. That wasn’t true. And you shouldn’t lie to people. And they just lied to people,”

Comments:
Is Barney having a deathbed confession?

Just libtards doing what libtards do - ´distancing´ themselves from a libtard loser. Remind ev everyone that libtards lie all the time, and old Barney was lying through his teeth in the interview. How do I know? Because he´s a politician and a libtard.

Democrats have not yet earned the right to lament the intentional tragedy of Dear Leader which they have forced upon the world, twice. They knew full well he was not fit to be president, that being the main reason they wanted him in the Oval Office. Too bad, Barney - Dear Leader is still just a reflection of your intentionally bad judgment. Renounce your sick, stupid party, then we´ll start listening to you.

Obama didn´t do this alone. You and your colleagues were right there cheering him on. Any thinking person knew Obamacare was a scam because numbers don´t lie and it just did not add up. This whole ideologically driven administration is a disaster. Everything they touch is a failure. Buck up, Barney. It is going to get even worse. The administrative failure will be drawfed by the failure of the quality of care given to patients. It will be the VA on steroids. Is Obama great, or what?

Reading between the lines of Barney´s remarks, I hear that Obama should have kept the disastrous effects of O´Care secret. He should have said nothing.

Barney hasn´t changed his mind about O´Care. He just would have gone about it differently. He´s still one nasty, creepy guy, just like the sequin-studded Starina in the White House.

To paraphrase Rudyard Kipling, Barack and Barney are brothers under the skin. If the regiment of rump rangers has an oath of loyalty, Bwarney just stepped on it.

Someone in the White House Press Corps(es) needs to ask Josh if Valerie has yet programmed TOTUS with a rebuttal concerning this development.

Barack´s world is spinning ever faster out of control -- as it always does for these kind of people. Look for the fun´ raising to become even more frenetic and the daily divots to increase.

(Plot for a new "Airplane Sequel": Our petulant punk president throws a tantrum and goes airborne in AF1 and refuses to come back to earth until he is shown more respect, causing major migraines for refueling squadrons world wide.)

Barney was in Congress until January 2011. The question for Barney is "what did he know and when did he know it."

I was just looking at the Timeline at the History of Obamacare (http://www.nrcc.org/default/sites/landingpages/timeline/index.html):

June 15, 2009

President Obama Promises "You Can Keep Your Doctor"

In the push for Obamacare, President Obama repeatedly promised that "if you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor" as he did in a speech to the American Medical Association. However, a Congressional Budget Office report found that 20 million workers could lose their employer-sponsored insurance as a result of the law.

#31 that is exactly what jumped out at me in this article. The sheer arrogance of these Congressional half-wits who can´t run their own lives but want to run ours is breathtaking. And the fact that Barney Frank thinks it would be a great idea to choose our healthcare plans for us not to mention his assumption that we would all welcome it is extremely indicative of how liberals think.

In a speech yesterday at the American Enterprise Institute, Boehner laid out five steps for rebuilding the American economy: tax reform, lower spending, tort reform, fewer regulations and more charter schools. "If we were to do these five things," he said, "you can reset the economic foundation in America for the next two or three generations and beyond." The singular importance of those five ideas lasted about two minutes, until a questioner asked Boehner if it wasn´t perhaps important to address immigration reform. The Kansas Supreme Court ruled Thursday to grant Democrat Chad Taylor’s request to be removed from the Kansas Senate ballot, dealing a blow to Sen. The court’s decision now removes an obstacle from self-funding independent Greg Orman’s path, making Roberts´s reelection race far more complicated and potentially upending the battle for the Senate. Brusied from a bitter GOP primary, polling has shown Roberts was vulnerable in a matchup, but still competitive. But with Taylor out of the race, polling has shown Orman

A bright fireball that flashed across the night sky in the US earlier this month was more than likely a Russian spy satellite falling from orbit, meteorologists say. As it flew over the Rockies at roughly 10.30pm on 2 September (UTC: 3 September at 4.25am), 38 people reported witnessing the “slowest and brightest” meteor shower they’d ever seen. However, not all is as it appears, after Mike Hankey, the American Meteor Society’s Operations Manager explains that it was probably pieces of a spy satellite that had fallen from orbit and had broken up over Colorado and Wyoming – something the Russians deny.

Atlanta - The message from a furious public to the National Football League over the past few weeks has been clear: Charges of domestic violence should have serious consequences. But in a sign that the outrage has expanded, a federal judge in Alabama on Thursday faced abrupt and potent pressure to resign after he was charged with striking his wife last month at a luxury hotel here. Although District Court Judge Mark E. Fuller of the Middle District of Alabama was arrested and charged with battery in early August, it was only this week that several of his state’s top political figures demanded in rapid succession that he leave the

Edinburgh - Voters in Scotland rejected independence from Britain in a referendum that had threatened to break up their 307-year union, according to an official count on Friday from almost all voting areas. Alex Salmond, the leader of the Scottish National Party and first minister of Scotland, who led the campaign for secession, conceded defeat in an address to cheering supporters. “I accept the verdict of the people,” he said. "And I call on all the people of Scotland to accept the democratic verdict of the people of Scotland.” The vote was a decisive 55 percent against independence to 45 percent in favor.

First Lady Michelle Obama proudly defended her husband’s record at a Washington, D.C. fundraiser, reminding the attendants how far the country had come since the Obamas entered the White House. “Just think about how different our country looks to children growing up today,” she said. “Think about how our kids take for granted that a black person or a woman can be President of the United States.” She also praised President Obama for changing history on gay marriage and the Supreme Court. “They take it for granted that for the first time in history, there are three brilliant women serving

Flashes of disagreement over how to fight the Islamic State are mounting between President Obama and U.S. military leaders, the latest sign of strain in what often has been an awkward and uneasy relationship. Even as the administration has received congressional backing for its strategy, with the Senate voting Thursday to approve a plan to arm and train Syrian rebels, a series of military leaders have criticized the president’s approach against the Islamic State militant group. Retired Marine Gen. James Mattis, who served under Obama until last year, became the latest high-profile skeptic on Thursday, telling the House Intelligence Committee

Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, one of the masterminds behind Obamacare, has now explained that he wishes to die at age 75. In an article in The Atlantic, Emanuel writes, “Seventy-five. That’s how long I want to live: 75 years.” He explains that his daughters disagree; so do his brothers and his friends. But, he says, “I am sure of my position…here is a simple truth that many of us seem to resist: living too long is also a loss. It renders many of us, if not disabled, then faltering and declining, a state that may not be worse than death but

Congress is living in an "evidence-free zone" as it debates issues of equal pay and family-friendly work policies, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said Thursday. "Unfortunately, reality is not always the context in which these decisions are made. The Congress increasingly -- despite the best efforts of my friends and others -- is living in an evidence-free zone," she said during a roundtable discussion at the Center for American Progress focused on women´s issues. "What the reality is, in the lives of Americans is so far from the minds of too many who don´t place the highest priority" on

Hundreds of Ferguson protesters and local far left activists packed the St. Louis County Council meeting last night in Clayton, demanding action in the Michael Brown shooting case. Brown was shot dead in Ferguson, Missouri on August 9, 2014 after he robbed a local Ferguson convenience store. Brown reportedly smashed police officer Darren Wilson in the face, severely injuring Wilson, before he was shot dead. Protesters threatened continued rioting and violence if Officer Wilson is let off. Devastating. That´s really the only way to describe Politico´s piece on DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz. (I hereby nominate her for Worst Week in Washington.) (Editor´s note: Three words -- Joseph. Robinette. Biden.) Based on interviews with DNC staffers -- both former and current -- the piece described Wasserman Schultz as something of a modern-day Tracy Flick: over-eager, disloyal and not shy about promoting her ambitions. It would be fair to say that she sounds like, well, a lot like other politicians. And this would be accurate. But the wholesale bashing of Wasserman Schultz at every level of the party -- White House,

A village of just 1,000 residents in Switzerland has been forced to raise taxes because an African refugee and her seven children cost the local authority £40,000 in benefits every month. Hagenbuch, in the Swiss canton of Zurich, is understood to be spending close to a third of its total annual budget on the family after they arrived from Eritrea in East Africa three years ago. The massive benefits bill covers day-to-day living expenses such as groceries and cleaning costs, as well as paying for four of the woman´s children to be housed in an orphanage and even bills for

Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, a Senior Member of the House Homeland Security Committee and House Judiciary Committee and Ranking Member of the Border and Maritime Subcommittee.(snip) The Congresswoman released the following statement: “The bloodshed at the hands of ISIL has been enormous. Religious minorities have been persecuted. American and British citizens have been beheaded. There is a further threat of other innocent human beings to be beheaded or killed in some way. It is also clear that a war including the United States is not the answer. I abhor the violence of war when diplomacy can be used.
