House revives, approves
border crisis bill – as
Obama vows to ‘act alone’

(Video)The House late Friday revived and approved a Republican-authored border crisis bill after GOP leaders hurriedly resolved an internal battle that scuttled the vote a day earlier – but with the Senate on recess and the House soon to follow, there’s little chance of any bill reaching President Obama’s desk until the fall. The president now is vowing to act unilaterally to address the illegal immigration issue. The House legislation was approved on a 223-189 vote. The new version of the bill adds additional funding for the National Guard and includes policy changes meant to speed deportations of illegal immigrant children surging

This is what lawlessness looks like, in case anyone wants to pay attention. A president of the USA has decided to simply ignore the law, co-equal branches of government, and the Constitution and nobody seems to want to do anything about it.

Where is the $@#% press? Nixon didn´t try to get away with a 10th of this stuff and they properly hounded him from office.

"border CRISIS"

Who created the crisis? This Administration - and (it grieves me to write because I love my faith) The Progressive Catholic Bishops.

The Pope is a progressive and so are his acolytes and I believe their intent is to end up with some kind of religious indifferentism - basically the everything is relative - who am I to judge - all gods are the same - heck, we would never judge one world - non-religion belief system. Scarey stuff.

´ gotta love that paternal, "I know better, you kids could not solve it among yourselves, so adult to the rescue", mentality of Obama. It´s anything BUT an adult to the rescue.

The only thing the House of Representatives should give Obama´s request is enough money for bus tickets and food until their departure-home to Central and South America, etc.

Obama is wasting our time, money, energy, lives on this despicable situation he created. Hopefully the voters will give his party another shellacking in Nov.

His sycophants are quite active on the web: nasty, defiant, dismissive, lying, finger pointing at pubs and of course Bush. BTW: Can anyone think of anything Obama accomplished last month? lol.

Have to wonder what would it take to get congress to delay/cancel their vacation. This reminds me of Nero fiddles while Rome burns.

Regarding Obama, he has certainly showed the vulnerabilities and flaws in our governing system. Our checks and balances do not work. Is the system broken or is it the people who are suppose to enforce the system that are broke? Have to imagine honest and competent politicians would have found a way to stop Obama. In the end, the problem is with the voting populace who persist in voting for corrupt politicians.

An EO should no longer have the force of law. Especially when it is being abused.

What this House bill does is give Republicans a chance to hammer the dems during the recess for doing nothing to solve the problem.

If the RNC does its job it will start running ads NOW through the recess extolling dems to act seriously laying out the common sense language a bill needs. If they do this obama will be unable to issue EO´s. IMHO if they do not it is because the CoC said no.

I see a few knee jerk reactions from people who can´t admit that Boehner can do anything right. I think the House stood tall and so did Boehner. So the country can´t be run by the House alone. They did what they could. Now, at least, Obama can´t say they did nothing. If the press reports honestly, the House wins this time.

Stood tall? How so? Do we agree that the Republicans favor "immigrtion reform"? Do we agree the American public does not? So how does any of this bill serve to show any tall standing? It´s boob bait. If anything the message is we´re going all in when the time comes...and the time will come after the November elections, by which time the "children" will already be relocated to a neighborhood near you. And Rick Perry will get his "border security" money...for running a National Guard taxi service to the nearest Border Patrol collection point and keeping his mumbling to a reasonable political pitch during this "humanitarian crisis." Let´s pull back all the curtains on this bi-partisan fraud supporting an invasion.

Republicans have for the most part have lost the propaganda war on this subject. It makes me want to scream because the majority of Americans want our border secured and do not want the influx of illegals that will negatively impact our economy, our culture, and now alarmingly, the public health. The media can´t say the word, children, enough, even FOX News. They focus on those "poor innocent children" and ignore the MS13 gang members recruiting members at the detention centers. They also ignore the public health safety issue.

Illegals are being released in American communities to spread whatever diseases they carry, TB, swine flu, lice, scabies, measles, etc. to anyone coming in contact with them. How is that not illegal? Does no one remember Ellis Island? This is wrong on so many levels and the Republicans still can bring themselves to present the whole truth to the American people. You can be sure if the roles were reversed and a republican president had encouraged illegals to make that dangerous journey, the democrats would be united. They would hold daily press conferences. The media would be all over those centers. The political pundits would come unhinged.

However, once again, the Republicans have the legal and moral high ground on an issue and are still unable to devise a strategy to expose Obama´s willingness to use children to advance his political agenda. It is clear to anyone who pays attention, and yet, the Republicans still refuse to unite and stand up and do the right thing.

Obama will continue to keep pushing the envelope knowing that the liberal Democrats and the liberal media have his back, and that the Republicans will never reverse his ultra liberal moves to bring many millions of new poor and uneducated potential Democrat voters into the USA. Whatever number of illegal aliens who Obama gives a immigration status that is not underpinned by law will get to stay indefinitely with US work permits. A lot of the Republicans are quietly OK with Obama doing that because of the cheap labor factor, as long as he does not grant them some invented status that allows them to legally vote in US elections, but that does not mean that a lot of them will not end up voting illegally anyway after registering to vote under the Democrat Motor Voter loopholes. That´s what this is all about.

I´m confused. Obama says this is a do-nothing congress but when the House finally passes an immigration bill Obama asks ´why are they passing a bill I won´t sign?´ Is congress acting or is the senate, which is in recess, obstructing? Unfortunately, the MSM only reports the part of the story which favors Obama and his convoluted rhetoric. Too many lazy citizens do not try to understand what is happening and only see the part that gets the most attention--Obama´s lies.

Once again Ted Cruz has created a fiasco for the Republicans. If Republicans fail to win the Senate this fall, it will because of his sabotage of the house immigration bill. Besides acting to confirm the Obama charge that Republicans are cold hearted, this also deflected attention from the fact that Harry Reid and the rest of the Senate Democrats are the ones obstructing progress by refusing to even consider nearly every bill sent to them by the House. The blame for a do-nothing congress belongs to the Democrat Senate.

I wish Republicans would wake up to the fact that following Ted Cruz will only lead to political disaster.

# 12 obviously does their homework and understands the Constitution instead of engaging in the usual knee jerk
trashing of Boehner and McConnell.
Ala Limbaugh , who is one of the most egregious purveyor of low and false information.
The Senate , controlled by Harry Reid´s 55 Democrats will not take up this bill , which will give Barry
the excuse to act with an EO.
Only 4 Republicans voted against the bill.
Democrat Cuellar of TX voted for it.
The sole Democrat.
There are 435 House members.
199 Democrats ( 1 vacant seat ) and 234 Republicans , with about 12 hard line Tea Party.
Most House Republicans are conservative , but, not Tea Party.
Bills require 218 votes to pass.
When every Democrat led by Pelosi is against him along with
12 Tea Party House members led by Ted Cruz , plus 5 other Republicans,
it´s nearly impossible for Boehner and the remaining 217 House Republicans to get any bill passed.

"The House legislation was approved on a 223-189 vote.
The new version of the bill adds additional funding for the National Guard
and includes policy changes meant to speed deportations of illegal immigrant children surging across the southern border."

" Further, a separate measure was approved later Friday by a 216-192 vote that would prevent Obama
from expanding a program that suspended deportations for some illegal immigrants
who came to the U.S. as children."
Yeah, Boehner caved....

Of all the malfeasances of William Jefferson Clinton the one that would have most justified a removal from office was not the Monica hijinks, even with the attendant lying under oath and absurd parsings of the word “is,” but the pardoning of Marc Rich — the billionaire international commodities trader and mammoth contributor to, er, Clinton. Luckily for Bill, this action occurred on the last day of his presidency, making anything like impeachment moot, even though it was an example of political corruption that would have made Boss Tweed envious. For those who don’t recall the details, here’s Wikipedia: In 1983

With the mid-term elections weeks away, many conservatives are confronting a difficult choice. Assuming there are no solid conservatives on the ballot, do we vote for establishment candidates? Or not vote at all? The reasons why some conservatives are on the fence or planning not to vote are well known. (And Democrats are loving every minute of it!) “Establishment Republicans have attacked us and I refuse to support any of them.” “I’m sick of RINO’s. They’re no better than the Democrats.” “Other than a few strong conservatives, the rest of the GOP stands for nothing.” I share these frustrations. The conversation in my head goes something

If I were a scientist, I´d stick to the Goldman Sachs principle: bet on both sides. "Believe in science, believe in God" seems to cover all the possibilities and gives you the best chance for a cheery afterlife. For a time, it was thought that astrophysicist Stephen Hawking had also left a tiny gap in his credo window for a magical deity. However, he has now come out and declared that there is no God. (Snip...) "Before we understand science, it is natural to believe that God created the universe. But now science offers a more convincing explanation."

When the U.S. military strikes, its leaders often choose colorful code names for the operation that sometimes stick in history, like Operation Overlord or Rolling Thunder or Desert Storm. Not this time. The U.S.-led air campaign against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria doesn´t have a name. "I know of no plans at this point to name it," Pentagon spokesman Rear Adm. John Kirby said Thursday. Since World War II, almost every U.S. military operation, large and small, has had a code name. And that name usually sticks when veterans talk about the conflicts in which they participated, such

Milton Wolf, the tea party candidate who battled Sen. Pat Roberts in a bitter Republican primary fight, is considering some political payback: Endorsing Kansas independent Greg Orman, sources said Thursday night. But there’s a big catch: To win Wolf’s endorsement, Orman must first agree to caucus with the Senate GOP if he were to defeat Roberts in the general election. The two men were scheduled to meet Friday afternoon at Orman’s house in Olathe, Kansas., just outside of Kansas City, according to two people familiar with the matter. One person said Orman’s team sought the meeting but there was no
