Obama readies executive
action on immigration

Washington Post, by David Nakamura

President Obama is preparing to announce new measures that would potentially allow millions of illegal immigrants to remain in the United States without fear of deportation, a politically explosive decision that could jolt Washington just weeks before the midterm elections, according to people who have been in touch with the White House. Administration officials have told allies in private meetings that both the current surge of Central American children crossing the border and Congress’s failure this year to pass a broader immigration overhaul have propelled the president toward taking action on his own by summer’s end. Obama aides have discussed

Dear Leader cares about the children.
Vote Democrat in 2014.
Or else.

(but you´ve got to admit, importing thousands upon thousands of illegals and disguising them as refugees to use as campaign props was a bold move, even for the conscienceless Dems).

There is no way that this president can write an executive order to fund this crisis that he generated. ONLY Congress can pass a bill that provides funding. If he does write an executive order to fund this, then it´s over folks.

Without control of the Senate there is very little that can be effectively done to stop this illegality. Zippy knows it. That is why he is trying to get as much done before November ´14. Seeing the last two days´ popular response there is going to be a mother of all backlashes waiting for the Democrats. They won´t know what hit ´em. You are looking at 15/20 House and 8/9 in the Senate.

Cheap labor Republicans who consider illegal aliens to be a commodity would be pleased as punch if Obama goes ahead and unlawfully grants a de-facto amnesty to millions of illegal aliens that allows the illegal aliens to work in the USA indefinitely, as long as he does not include some sort of invented right that allows the legalized aliens to become millions of New Democrat voters in the near future. Obama knows that whatever "temporary" legal status with work authorization that he grants illegal aliens, even if it is unlawful, will always remain in force unless they can further expand and legalize it, as the Republicans never roll back such actions, as long as the decision produces a lot of cheap foreign labor for their business oriented constituents as a tool to keep wage rates as low as possible in all industries where all that cheap foreign labor can be hired.

The Democrats know that once they help the masses of illegal aliens get their noses under the tent with any sort of "temporary" immigration status, that it will only be a matter of time until the vast majority of them gain a permanent immigration status that will eventually end with the vast majority becoming Democrat voters In the years ahead.

Back in 2009 the Milwaukee District Attorney launched a far-reaching and secret investigation into a then soon-to-be elected Governor Scott Walker, his staff, and several Wisconsin conservative groups. The governor and his allies always maintained that the investigation was little else but a political jihad against them. Now a former Wisconsin prosecutor is saying that the union-allied wife of the District Attorney was really the main reason for the long, convoluted, and shady investigation. The case was never successfully defended as a legitimate probe into corruption, having always looked more like a political witch hunt. And now, a new report

Nine months after belittling the Islamic State as a “JV” terrorist group, President Obama will devote an urgent prime-time address Wednesday to his plan for defeating the suddenly resurgent militants, a strategy that will rely heavily on U.S. partnership with an untested Iraqi government and unproven Syrian rebels. In a speech from the White House at 9 p.m., Mr. Obama will tell Americans that the Islamic State is now a “high national security priority,” aides said. And the president will try to marshal public and international support for what would likely be a yearslong counterterrorism campaign, launched little more than

With a public record spanning more than two decades, there is little left to learn about Hillary Rodham Clinton — except where she stands on a host of key issues. As she gears up for a likely presidential run in 2016, the former secretary of state has been deliberately vague, analysts say, in her positions on National Security Agency snooping, the violence in Ferguson, Missouri, central aspects of the Obama administration’s foreign policy and other issues. With no obvious, viable threat to her party’s nomination, Mrs. Clinton is able to straddle the fence on any number of controversial topics with

President Obama is prepared to use U.S. military airstrikes in Syria as part of an expanded campaign to defeat the Islamic State and does not believe he needs formal congressional approval to take that action, according to people who have spoken with the president in recent days. Obama discussed his plans at a dinner with a bipartisan group of foreign policy experts this week at the White House and made clear his belief that he has the authority to attack the militant Islamist group on both sides of the Iraq-Syria border to protect U.S national security, multiple people who participated

BOSTON – Nine-term U.S. Rep. John Tierney has conceded defeat to former Marine Seth Moulton after a hard-fought Democratic primary in Massachusetts´ 6th Congressional District. Tierney is the first incumbent Democratic congressman from Massachusetts to lose a primary since Chester Atkins in 1992. Moulton is an Iraq war veteran from Salem. He will now face Republican Richard Tisei in the November election. Moulton ran a well-financed campaign in his bid to unseat Tierney, suggesting the incumbent had been ineffective in Congress. Tierney launched a recent TV ad suggesting Moulton´s campaign was being financed by people who support Republicans.

CONCORD, N.H. — Former Massachusetts U.S. Sen. Scott Brown won New Hampshire’s Republican U.S. Senate primary on Tuesday, moving forward in his attempt to get back to Washington from another state. Brown faced nine opponents in the primary, though only two mounted serious campaigns, and he was the front-runner from the start. He’ll face Democratic incumbent Jeanne Shaheen in November in one of a handful of races that will decide control of the Senate for the final two years of President Barack Obama’s term. This is Brown’s third U.S. Senate campaign in five years. One of the original tea party

As the United States pivots back to the Middle East — in belated recognition that its enemies never pivoted from their intention to establish a territorial expression of radical Islamism — President Obama is more likely to change his policy than to change his rhetoric. We are more likely, in other words, to see “boots on the ground” in Iraq (already more than 1,000 troops are in supportive roles) than we are to hear an admission that the administration’s foreign policy approach has shifted. Obama now wants to “degrade” the Islamic State’s capabilities, “shrink” its territory, and ultimately “defeat ’em.”
