´There will be anger, frustration and

calls for release of redacted 9/11 papers

A U.S. congressman calling for the release of classified material from a report into 9/11 has warned there would be ´anger, frustration, and embarrassment´ if the redacted pages were made public. Representative Thomas Massie has joined a call for the government to declassify 28 pages redacted from the Joint Inquiry into Intelligence Community Activities Before and After the Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001. Earlier this year, the lawmaker described how he had to ´try to rearrange my understanding of history´ after he read the classified pages of the joint investigation by the House and Senate intelligence committees. Speaking on

Comments:
Well that is certainly thought-provoking! What on earth could be contained in those 28 pages that would cause him to "absorb and try to rearrange his understanding of history for the past 13 years" and challenges him to to "rethink everything." It is rather unfair to us that if there is little chance they will be released to throw this out there.

If he wants the information public, why doesn´t he just say it on the floor of the House. He can´t be prosecuted for anything he says there per Parliamentary Immunity.

A little research on the net shows that Massie is a libertarian leaning Republican endorsed by both Ron and Rand Paul.

Additionally, he´s working with another well known libertarian type to get the info released.

I haven´t put my tinfoil hat on yet, but I have raised my antennae just in case this is another Truther attack.

Why doesn´t Obama release this? It implicates the Saudis to whom he has a higher allegiance. The deep bow he reserved for the Saudi king was no accident. He would have released this long ago if it had to do with Bush or Israel. It embarrasses both parties because both have treated the Saudis as an ally. But Obama hopes to help unite all Muslims, which would be difficult if the US turns against Saudi Arabia.

#2, don´t be fooled and fall for the myth of tin-foil hats blocking signals to or from your cranium. Truth is that tin-foil hats magnify these signals and increase signal strength. If your old enough to remember when we all had rabbit ears on our tv sets, tin foil was the #1 cure for poor reception.

Regarding 911 - that day marks the start of the government coup currently in progress by enemies of the United States of America both foreign and domestic.

There was this question when this terrorist act happened. Why did Bush let all the Saudi´s leave the United States when there was a No Fly Zone all over America? There is a lot to be revealed and we should be aware of this because there will be another terrorist attack, not here but when, especially under this Empty Suit.

Thomas Massie is not a truther. He is from the next district north of Louisville. He is a grassroots conservative with slight libertarian leanings...but then so are most of the posters here...excluding, of course, the Cheerleaders and a few of their buddies. If Thomas Massie says it should be released, he´s probably right. It may sting some, but then history always does that, doesn´t it?

You can be sure if releasing these documents would damage the Republicans worse than the democrats, they would already be released. Personally I feel the American public need to know what its government did or did not do regarding 9/11. Put the truth out there, and let the chips fall where they may.

Please pardon me for sharing one of most unsettling memories of 9/11. While watching a video of the burning towers, I kept seeing these distracting little brown mushrooms appearing and fading at the base of towers. When I finally realized what they were I had to stop watching.

I shall never forgive the muslims for that.

Nor for the rejoicing, dancing, and handing out sweets all over the Middle East.

Let us DEMAND that any info about that outrage be released ASAP. We the people have A RIGHT TO KNOW!

The problem with information that makes you "rearrange" your understanding of history is that it cannot be compartmentalized. Whatever this is would quickly flow beyond the 9/11 sphere and upset other assumptions and conclusions.

Take this for example: Suppose some of the oil geologists are right and oil really is a naturally occurring substance produced deep within the earth (evidence for that exists from played-out oil fields mysteriously refilling themselves). Deep-earth forces just make it, continuously. The first thing that occurs to you is that there is no need to pursue "alternative" energy like wind and solar. But it soon occurs to you to question the need for the CAFE mileage regulations on cars, the energy efficiency ratings on appliances, ethanol in gasoline, and all of the "green" regulations, because it is possible that we will NEVER run out of oil. EVER. And your whole worldview is shaken.

The "truthers" have always sensed (accurately so in my opinion) that we were being lied to about 9/11. The problem is that the nature and extent of the lies could only be guessed at. Whatever it is shook Massie up.

Remember "scratch a lie, find a thief" from the movie "Ray"? It should be "scratch a lie, find a betrayal."

Both political parties and most former Presidents have a very deep and immoral allegiance to the Saudi Royal Family. This explains much of how, why we have been seriously lied to and yes, we have been lied to about many aspects of 9/11.

While more famous for his anti-war activities as a founder of the Weather Underground in the 1960s and ‘70s, he is now a committed educator. Retired from his education professorship at the University of Illinois in Chicago, Ayers continues to give lectures to teachers in training, speak at education conferences and agitate against America’s two-tiered educational system – one for rich, one for poor – on behalf of low-income parents, students and instructors. In early June 1964, a group of Republican governors sought to wrestle control of their party from Barry Goldwater, the Arizona conservative who was about to lead the GOP to one of the most crushing defeats in its history. The governors saw a disaster in the making, and sought a moderate candidate who could capture the imaginations of grassroots Republicans—but also beat President Lyndon Johnson in the general election.
