Cooling the manufactured
impeachment panic

Washington Times, by Wesley Pruden

Original Article

Posted By:Maryland_Patriot, 8/1/2014 11:42:57 AM

Manufacturing a crisis is what pundits and politicians do best, and the media mills are running three shifts daily now to manufacture panic over what the Democrats want the public to think is the impending impeachment of President Obama. This might frighten the horses and scare the women in flyover country, but it’s all fun and games in Washington, with the game recognized by Democrat and Republican for the scam it is. But the purveyors of the scam are determined to turn a profit with it. Sometimes scams succeed. This could be the opportunity to learn a little about impeachment. John A.

FTA- " Not a single member of Congress actually believes, or would privately admit to believing,
that the chance of that succeeding rises
from zero to as high as none ."

Sarah Palin gave the Democrats a gift by demanding again
and again that Obama
be impeached " now ".
As if all it took was to decide he was a lousy president.
The media and Democrats took Palin´s words
and ran all the way to the bank.
Andrew McCarthy, who recently wrote a book detailing what he considered to be potentially impeachable crimes,
just wrote a column throwing cold water on the
premature impeachment talk.
Everyone knows, except Palin and Judge Napolitano ,
that the the provable evidence of high crimes is not there
and that the Senate will never
convict and remove Obama.

It is not a scam, if the Republicans retake the Senate they could at least impeach and bring to a vote, even if the chances of conviction were small. This is an honest issue and I think many Republicans should be running on just that. In any case talk is cheap, and if Republicans are even afraid to *talk* about it, their cowardice has reached new heights. That´s RINO cowardice, most Tea Party folks are not cowards. Not going to impeach today, but if we retake the Senate, then maybe/probably, and maybe/probably even if it is likely to fail.

All Palin bashing aside (because thats where I push it), I dont want to see the sorry communist impeched, or convicted, or removed from office. No, that would be a constitutional crisis. Well, maybe not, since it is directly addressed in the constitution.
No, I just want to have the conversaton. I want to have it as long and loud and as often as I can. Thats all. Just a simple, harmless conversation.
Kind of like the dem/comms just wanted a coversation about gun control and a dozen other issues.

Not to appear ´stupid´ Just what evidence is needed to prove high crimes and misdemeanors? Must he be standing in the office holding his ´smoking gun´ His actions have produced high crimes and misdemeanors...or all WTP blinded by its light? However, some still have vision and we see the damage done from his actions.

Impeachment, Yes - to uphold our Constitution.

Removal from office..at that point what difference does it make. They can beat on the gopes and look big in some eyes, but as his polls are now at rock bottom (almost) his remaining term in office would be sitting on the hot seat. He might vacate the office every chance he gets in order to cool his rear on the golf course. The Goes must come to the realization that OUR CONSTITUTION is the most important document we hold-perhaps that should be second most, after our Bibles. The same that you place your hand on in upholding your oath.

Iran´s parliament has voted to ban permanent forms of contraception, the state news agency IRNA reported, endorsing the supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei´s call for more babies to be born. The bill, banning vasectomies and similar procedures in women, is parliament´s response to a decree Khamenei issued in May to increase the population to "strengthen national identity" and counter "undesirable aspects of western lifestyles". Doctors who violate the ban will be punished, the IRNA reported. The bill, approved by 143 of 231 members present in parliament, according to the IRNA, also bans the advertising of birth control in a country where condoms had

Unless he can find something and find it quickly, Barack Obama isn’t going to like his legacy. Everything he touches is turning to mud, and the man who once walked on water may soon find himself at the bottom of the lake. He needs something heroic, with swagger and bluff, something to make hearts in the mainstream press go pitty-pat again. Once upon a time, heads of state hemmed in by a faltering economy and outside events they couldn’t control would march their armies off to war. That’s frowned on in polite company today, unless you’re the head caliph of an Islamic

The taking of a life to punish taking a life is an idea whose time is not yet gone, but its years may be numbered. A low-key campaign against capital punishment is flourishing, led this time by lonely conservatives. Many of them are concerned about the inefficiency of state killing, if not the morality of it. Capital punishment has been consistently upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court, despite the constitutional prohibition of “cruel and unusual punishment.” It’s difficult to see how the killing could be any more cruel or unusual than in a succession of botched executions this year among the

We’re being had. Again. For six years, President Obama has endeavored to will the country into accepting two pillars of his alternative national-security reality. First, he claims to have dealt decisively with the terrorist threat, rendering it a disparate series of ragtag jayvees. Second, he asserts that the threat is unrelated to Islam, which is innately peaceful, moderate, and opposed to the wanton “violent extremists” who purport to act in its name. Now, the president has been compelled to act against a jihad that has neither ended nor been “decimated.” The jihad, in fact, has inevitably intensified under his counterfactual

Political pollsters have a tough job. They have to create formulas to determine if the person they are interviewing is likely to vote, and it is within this calculation that their reputations are made. Typically, those who are likely to vote in an off-year election are pretty set. They are the people who always vote in elections — with some motivated by specific issues. In a wave election, the number of those motivated by specific issues escalates, changing the electoral landscape as the candidates who are beneficiaries of this increased participation sweep to victory.
