Taxing Carbon in the Name
of Climate Change

Canada Free Press, by Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh

Original Article

The former Treasury Secretary Robert E. Rubin wrote in the Washington Post on July 27, 2014, “How ignoring climate change could sink the U.S. economy.” Not counting the non-enforced southern border and the hordes of new and lawless Democrat citizens who demand their fair share of the American dream now turned into a welfare nightmare, the national debt is most likely to sink the economy sooner than any other variable and that includes climate change that has been changing for millennia. Rubin asserts that, since the “scientific community is all but unanimous in its agreement that climate change is a serious threat,”

Take out grants to researchers and taxes on energy to pay for projects unrelated to so-called climate change, and the interest in the so-called climate change disappears.

Show us a reproducible experiment, not concocted computer models, and the propaganda on climate change might become an item of interest. In the meantime, corrupt peer reviews do not convince the populace that we need to spend billions of dollars on changing a climate that we actually, as humans, have little effect on. The supposed scientists cannot even tell us how long it will take to change the climate back to where these whizbangs think it should be.

And Robert Rubin is not who we look to for leadership in climate. He has been too busy destroying the economy of late.

Don´t forget that the carbon tax scams traces directly back to Valerie Jarret. Goldman Sachs is implicated as well and I would bet Rahm Emmanuel, with deep/crooked Chicago hands all over this. Maybe this is the bone that ValJar will toss to herself, especially since she didn´t get to sell her slumlord properties if Chicago got the Olympics?

The carbon tax goes back to Jimmy Carter.

Only they called it a BTU tax (BTU is a measure of energy) It failed and hence, needed a new scheme.

No global warming since 2001. Temperature has been static for 13 years now. CO2 has increased from around 370ppm to 393ppm over the last 13 years.

393ppm is 113ppm above the 1850 level. 113ppm is 1.13% of 1% ...OR... 1 in 10,000.

That´s a little more than 1 foot over 10 miles. An unbelievably potent greenhouse gas! Except for the years 2001 to 2014.

White House Fuzzy on Timing

President Obama insists that he still plans to make an executive decision on immigration reform, but his timeline for action grows increasingly convoluted. Obama and his team spent most of the summer previewing his executive action on immigration reform, vowing to fix what they describe as a “broken immigration system” without Congress as soon as possible. "I expect their recommendations before the end of summer, and I intend to adopt those recommendations without further delay," Obama explained in June, referring to a requested proposal from Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson.

Thirty-six seats are up for grabs in the Senate and all 435 seats in the House of Representatives will be contested. Of those 36 Senate seats, 15 are currently held by Republicans while 21 are held by Democrats. Clearly, the math is on the Republican side, as is the fact that the incumbent party typically loses seats in mid-term elections. This upcoming November 2014 election is crucial for America and voting for a third party candidate will not achieve the victory. To end the Obama “Rule by Decree” power grab, we have to wrest control of the Senate from the Democrats.

If our Congress wishes to fight its steady march into irrelevance it will have to actually go back to doing its job. Once upon a time, the first Article of the Constitution established all the powers that the Congress has and obligations that Congress must adhere to as they conduct their legislative business. Then, beginning in the 1930’s and 40’s, through the passage of the Administrative Procedure Act (APA), and other actions, Congress abdicated part of its legislative authority to an ever increasing number of federal departments and agencies.

A substantial number of political prognosticators, including the likes of the highly respected Nate Silver´s 538.com blog, give the Republicans a substantial chance of not only picking up senate seats in November, but of getting at least 51 and thus a working majority (50 seats would see a tie with Vice-President Biden giving the Dem´s a majority). Where the seers differ is not only the percentage probability of the Republicans gaining control of the senate, just how many seats the GOP will end up with. One face is for Islam’s useful idiots the other is for Islam’s faithful. The Koran is not arranged in chronological order. When it is arranged in chronological order it is clear that the Koran undergoes a serious transition after Muhammad’s first real triumph on the battlefield at Badr in 624. The period following that battle is called the Medina period of the prophet’s life. Conceptually this transition can be seen as a transition from the Old Koran to the New Koran. Unlike the transition from the Old to the New Testament, the transition from the “Old” Koran (pre-Medina) to the “New”

An astonishing exposition of the horrors of Arab behavior was issued on August 13, 2014 and published on August 27, by a most unlikely source -- a committee established by the UN Human Rights Council. The committee, headed by the Brazilian diplomat Paulo Sergio Pinheiro, was set up on August 22, 2011 to investigate all alleged violations of international human rights law since March 2011 in the Syrian Arab Republic. In its devastating report the committee portrays in detail the monstrous behavior of all the Arab parties fighting in the conflict in Syria, now a conflict involving countless actors and frontlines.

Competence is the ability to get things done. The word itself has no particular value judgment attached to it. We have such a person sitting in the White House -- quite intelligent, but committed to disastrous ideology. Our present administration is not incompetent in the way its officials go about achieving their goals, using as they do the incredible powers of bureaucracy and executive orders to bypass Congress and override the Constitution. Reaction by Middle East studies professors to Israel’s recent effort to destroy Hamas’s terrorist infrastructure epitomizes their perennial pro-Hamas, anti-Israel, and anti-American biases. In lieu of reasoned, informed, and balanced assessments, they proffer extremist rhetoric that demonizes Israel and America while ignoring Hamas’s misdeeds: rockets aimed at Israeli civilians, kidnappings and murder, disregard for ceasefires, and the cynical use of Palestinian civilians -- including children -- as human shields. One of the most important tools humanity needs right now is frank speech about Islam. Unfortunately, in journalism, on campuses, and in politics, politically-correct speech codes demonize any analysis of Islam as "Islamophobia." Speech taboos are obeyed across a wide spectrum. In September, 2001, after the 9-11 attacks, President George Bush stated, "Islam is peace." In 2007, his fellow officers declined to take effective action against U.S. Army Major Nidal Hasan, even after he exhibited to them a PowerPoint presentation that cited the Koran to predict and support his subsequent, 2009 shooting of soldiers at Fort Hood. FRIENDSHIP, Maine -- Imagine Cape Cod without cod. Maine without lobster. The region´s famous rocky beaches invisible, obscured by constant high waters. It´s already starting to happen. The culprit is the warming seas - and in particular the Gulf of Maine, whose waters are heating up faster than 99 percent of the world´s oceans, scientists say. Long-established species of commercial fish, like cod, herring and northern shrimp, are departing for colder waters. Black sea bass, blue crabs and new species of squid - all highly unusual for the Gulf - are turning up in fishermen´s nets. The Gulf of Maine´s warming reflects broader
