Taxing Carbon in the Name
of Climate Change

Canada Free Press, by Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh

The former Treasury Secretary Robert E. Rubin wrote in the Washington Post on July 27, 2014, “How ignoring climate change could sink the U.S. economy.” Not counting the non-enforced southern border and the hordes of new and lawless Democrat citizens who demand their fair share of the American dream now turned into a welfare nightmare, the national debt is most likely to sink the economy sooner than any other variable and that includes climate change that has been changing for millennia. Rubin asserts that, since the “scientific community is all but unanimous in its agreement that climate change is a serious threat,”

Take out grants to researchers and taxes on energy to pay for projects unrelated to so-called climate change, and the interest in the so-called climate change disappears.

Show us a reproducible experiment, not concocted computer models, and the propaganda on climate change might become an item of interest. In the meantime, corrupt peer reviews do not convince the populace that we need to spend billions of dollars on changing a climate that we actually, as humans, have little effect on. The supposed scientists cannot even tell us how long it will take to change the climate back to where these whizbangs think it should be.

And Robert Rubin is not who we look to for leadership in climate. He has been too busy destroying the economy of late.

Don´t forget that the carbon tax scams traces directly back to Valerie Jarret. Goldman Sachs is implicated as well and I would bet Rahm Emmanuel, with deep/crooked Chicago hands all over this. Maybe this is the bone that ValJar will toss to herself, especially since she didn´t get to sell her slumlord properties if Chicago got the Olympics?

The carbon tax goes back to Jimmy Carter.

Only they called it a BTU tax (BTU is a measure of energy) It failed and hence, needed a new scheme.

No global warming since 2001. Temperature has been static for 13 years now. CO2 has increased from around 370ppm to 393ppm over the last 13 years.

393ppm is 113ppm above the 1850 level. 113ppm is 1.13% of 1% ...OR... 1 in 10,000.

That´s a little more than 1 foot over 10 miles. An unbelievably potent greenhouse gas! Except for the years 2001 to 2014.

Reasons for Political Hope

Many Republicans are excited about the midterm elections. They see a good chance of taking over the Senate, which means they can neutralize Obama’s last few years in office. Many also are hopeful about the presidential election in 2016, though Hillary Clinton will enter that race with decided advantages. Regaining the presidency, some believe, will lead to a reprise of Ronald Reagan’s presidency, in which the country was turned from its leftward drift under Jimmy Carter. Yet even if this scenario unfolds as the Republicans hope, it is doubtful the deeper structural problems of the country will be solved. The entitlement

It doesn’t take a genius to know there’s a huge philosophical divergence between the socialist democratic party and the constitutionalist GOP (note the word ‘constitutionalist’). The tightly unified party of progressive socialists believe that massive, oppressive government is authorized to have a boot at every citizen’s throat, while Republicans are supposed to believe in the constitution and a limited government that adheres to the rule of law. But the GOP is no longer unified nor does it stand for adhering to the U.S. Constitution. Swept up by a ‘kinder, gentler’ political correctness, the GOP’s ideology has waffled on the role of

HOUSTON, Texas -- Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay was found not guilty today by the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals. This is the highest appellate court in Texas for criminal cases and thus brings DeLay’s political persecution to an end. The court upheld the ruling last year from the Texas 3rd Court of Appeals. That decision tossed out the convictions on money laundering and conspiracy charges. At that time Justice Melissa Goodwin wrote “The fundamental problem with the state´s case was its failure to prove proceeds of criminal activity,” according to a September 19th report on Breitbart News.

Following the attacks of 2001, I set out to “make a difference,” which was to assist our government by offering my services in my capacity as a multi-state licensed investigator. Okay, hold the chuckles, snickers and laughs at bay for a moment while I briefly explain my thinking at that time. In 2001, I had 16 years of investigative experience under my belt and several years of experience with the inner workings of certain government “operations” that the majority of people don’t even know exist. I engaged in covert activities as an operational asset for a few “three-letter” government agencies on

As reported by Breitbart Texas, in a keynote conversation at The Texas Tribune Festival, Perry was asked directly by Texas Tribune CEO and Editor-in-Chief Evan Smith if he now believed the bill should be overturned, and Perry answered "No," also commenting, "I still think in 2001 it was the right thing to do in the state of Texas." Even though Republicans may take back the Senate by running against amnesty, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush pushed amnesty legislation while stumping for North Carolina Republican Senate candidate Thom Tillis on Wednesday. Bush, according to the New York Times, reportedly said that comprehensive immigration reform "will restore and sustain economic growth for this country." And even though a recent Gallup poll found that illegal immigration is now the top concern among Republicans, Bush said that if immigration reform is "framed in that way, I don’t think there’s a big debate in the Republican Party about the need to do this."

A presidential defeat isn’t an easy thing to bounce back from. And Mitt Romney did it twice. So it was understandable that after he lost the presidential race in 2012, he was adamant about closing the door to the possibility of a third campaign. But recently, speculation is whirling that Romney may not be so adamant anymore. When asked if he was running in a New York Times interview published earlier this week, Romney said : “I have nothing to add to the story. "There´s a wonderful phrase that was first used by Alexis de Tocqueville, who came to the United States in the very early 1930s and traveled around our country," said Hillary Clinton, a probable 2016 presidential candidate. "And he was so amazed at how Americans organized themselves -- you know, coming from aristocratic Europe, which was totally top-down and hierarchical -- he couldn´t believe how many of us were joiners.
