Does ´No Impeachment´ Fulfill Alinsky´s Rule #4?
American Thinker, by Jeannie DeAngelis

Original Article

Posted By:EnsignOToole, 8/1/2014 7:51:41 AM

Lately it’s hard to take John Boehner and his Coppertone tan seriously. However, when it appeared that the House Majority Speaker was proactively taking the wind out of Barack Obama’s ‘they want to impeach me’ sails, there was a glimmer of hope that someone on the right had actually grown a spine.

Comments:
The Republicans should have been talking Impeachment a long time ago or, at least, made it very clear that Obama was overstepping the Constitutional bounds of the Executive branch so that even lofos could understand Obama´s un-Constitutional acts. Lesson is: when you don´t properly vett a presidential candidate for office and let him/her slip through the process (the Judicial branch also should share the blame)then you kind of get what you deserve. Obama´s "fundamentally change America" really was "cut America down to size so that it´s no better than any other country."

Thanks for posting, this article has it nailed. Sadly many of us knew that Obama was a worthless candidate without good intentions for America. But everyone was gaga over electing the first "black" president irregardless of his background, or lack of it, and now the country is saddled with this elected loser. Our country deteriorates from within and our heritage evaporates while our duly elected loyal opposition, the Republicans, have taken our Constitutional check, impeachment, off of the table. Thus, Obama unchecked, rules.

No, it is being realistic. You think the impeachment process is going to make it past Harry Reid in the Senate?

It would be a colossal waste of time. The Republicans have a critical election coming up.

House and Senate Republicans care only about one thing: their careers. Anything they do or say is geared toward this one objective: getting themselves elected/re-elected come this November. They firmly believe that any talk of impeachment will make the voters, stirred to a frenzy by ABC/NBC/CBS, mad at them. Their adversary, Obama, and his bosses, have told them so in no uncertain terms, and they (the GOP) are appropriately intimidated.

A minority of the GOP also believe that if the voters have to spend the next 27 months or so stewing in the bitter Obama juices, so much the better, as this will strengthen the chances of Republicans for Congress and the White House come 2016.

You must understand -- this is what´s important, and the Rule of Law be damned.

FTA, "Obama accuses the right of wanting to impeach him, hoping that the Republicans will rush to the fore to disarm the ploy, which they do.

Then the Republicans who thought they were big and butch when they rejected the idea of impeachment are hamstrung by the very rules Obama provoked them into creating. Now, with the opposition securely hooked through the jaw, by fiat the president can inflict upon America yet another one of his destructive policies.

If all goes according to plan, amnesty will be granted to six million illegals by executive order, and because of an oath that should never have been made, Republicans will be forced to stand helplessly by, thus fulfilling Rule #4 of Alinsky’s radical rulebook."

You don´t take anything off the table like our two stupid Republican "leaders" did. Instead of responding by saying no, we don´t have plans to impeach Obama, if they were leaders, they would have listed every impeachable offense/overreach Obama has made and repeated those every time the impeachment question was asked. Instead these two idiots and their followers cower and say no, we won´t impeach. Very stupid. If they were leaders, they would have strong talking points about Obama´s actions and would have every Repub rep and senator saying them every time they spoke with the press.

Is World War IV on the verge of beginning? With President Obama in the role of the reluctant leader whose actions have invited global catastrophe? [Snip]The Obama inability — the unwillingness — to recognize that ISIS and all of radical Islam are about a merciless war of butchery to establish a global caliphate is merely the latest manifestation of an anti-war movement mentality that always lacks what Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calls “moral clarity.” Or what de Gaulle called the perpetual belief that “passion and self-interest, the root

A month before former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin called for President Barack Obama to be impeached on the pages of Breitbart News over his lawlessness on illegal immigration, Obama was already concerned that his unilateral actions on immigration could warrant impeachment. He even kind of joked with pro-amnesty activists not to push him to do something that would get him impeached.

I have said it before, and I will say it again: I love Sarah Palin. Governor Palin has come out strongly calling for the impeachment of President Obama. I say, “Way to go, sister!”[snip]Enough with being intimidated and impotent because Obama is black. Enough with the smartest pundits in the room explaining why it would be politically unwise to challenge Obama´s unprecedented lawlessness.

State Department spokesman Jen Psaki makes me psick. If you read P.G. Wodehouse, you know the “P” in her name is silent, as in “phthisis,” “psychic” and “ptarmigan” (as Wodehouse’s Psmith explains). And Psaki’s colleague Marie Harf makes me barf. Together Psaki and Harf give the catastrophic foreign policy of the Obama administration a lighter than air, Valley Girl kind of feel. It’s a novel use of expressive form. Paul Mirengoff explores their weightlessness in the adjacent post. As Paul recounts, Harf came to the defense of Psaki when Bill O’Reilly had the temerity to utter pslightly pscathing words about Psaki

There are moments in edited TV content when a keyed-in viewer can see a cut intended to make a “comfort edit”, smoothing out the narrative. The Chuck Todd interview with President Obama was riddled with them. Even when being interviewed by a fellow ideological traveler. Less than 48 hours ahead of a planned address to the nation on how the U.S. plans to combat Islamic State terrorists operating in Iraq and Syria, President Obama dined at the White House Monday with a slate of foreign policy experts. Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and Secretary of State John Kerry were joined by some of Washington’s most established foreign policy hands, including Clinton National Security Adviser Sandy Berger and Zbigniew Brzezinski, who held the same position during the Carter administration. Former Obama national security adviser Tom Donilon was also at the dinner, as was former Undersecretary for Defense Policy

The beatings of three people in a Kroger parking lot Saturday night will not be investigated as a hate crime, according to police officials. Memphis Police Department director Toney Armstrong said he’s had lots of calls asking how the investigation would proceed but said there is “not sufficient enough evidence to investigate this as a hate crime.” “I know this has a lot of racial undertones,” Armstrong said during a news conference Monday at Memphis City Hall. “I’ve gotten a lot of calls and I know (Memphis Mayor A C Wharton) has as well. In a few days president Obama will unveil his strategy to destroy ISIS to a waiting public. (Snip) However the basic outlines of the strategy itself have emerged from information already available to the press. A Los Angeles Times story suggests that Obama will rely on proxies to fight ISIS at three levels: on the ground, within the region and in the West. Kerry invokes comparisons to the Sunni Awakening, seeking to recall the days when al-Qaeda in Iraq was beaten by George Bush. Obama plans to organize the Sunni Arabs to fight ISIS.

The Obama administration will make a decision on executive action to prevent corporations from leaving the country in the "very near future," Treasury Secretary Jack Lew said Monday morning. Speaking at an event on business taxes at the Urban Institute in Washington, Lew placed the responsibility on Congress to address so-called tax inversions, but said that the administration was prepared to step in if lawmakers don´t move quickly enough. Inversions are tax maneuvers in which corporations buy firms in low-tax countries in order to place their headquarters in that country. Such deals have grown in number in recent months, with
