These New Revelations Prove Rick Perry Is
NOT Backing Down From Obama On The Border

Western Journalism Review, by Dr. Kevin ´Coach´ Collins

Remember the laughter and snarky comments from the Left and its Ministry of Information when Texas governor Rick Perry activated one thousand Texas National Guard soldiers for duty at the southern border? “Ha ha, they’ll just stand around like wooden Indians and watch ‘undocumented immigrants’ walk by,” we heard from people Beltway liberals who hate conservatives, especially conservatives with a drawl. The Left is about to get another lesson about underestimating those who live in “fly over country.” There is a local website (callthecops.net) that is reporting what Perry’s plan actually involves. Contrary to what has been postulated – even

Thank you, Governor Perry. May God bless you and the great state of Texas. Where there is a will there is a way.

Btw, I think the Governor looks good in those glasses.

If one goes to callthecops.net, the so-called source of this story, one will find the following posted there:

"This site is a satire of the current state of Law Enforcement, Fire Fighting and Emergency Medical work. Stories posted here are not real and you should not assume them to have any basis in any real fact."

Yeah, Perry´s a real tough guy...I read it in Western Journalism Review.

This is outstanding. Too often guard surges are used for administrative work. When they are used for real security purposes the result is very positive. In the Yuma section the guard engineers were brought out to construct barriers and fence. It worked incredibly well. Pinal County sheriff Paul Babeu was one of the guard engineers that secured that sector. Governor Perry deserves everyones gratitude. This is one of the few actions that may stem the tide.

#3 that site may be bogus, but this has been reported elsewhere. By calling the troops up himself Perry has the power to order the troops to make arrests and apprehensions.

Perhaps Jan will take heed and follow Gov. Perry´s example. Geez...even the Republican controlled states further north could do the same. And if these Governors filed suit against o-the-dick-tator they would certainly have standing, would they not?

If congress can´t get it done, there are others who are willing to try.

Neil deGrasse Tyson is a very famous and popular scientist. He even has a TV show. And wears a cool astronomical vest. Only he’s not infallible. This rather basic truth has been established over the past couple weeks, over much resistance and at the cost of much abuse, by Sean Davis of the lively new conservative website, the Federalist. Davis dug into a handful of just-so stories repeated by Tyson in his public lectures, the point of which is to make himself — and by extension, his audience — feel superior to the dolts who aren’t nearly as scientific as he is. So I´ve been catching up on all the latest accumulation of Washington wisdom — or, at least, all the wisdom that I can accumulate in a Twitter feed — and now I totally get why no one other than Rand Paul or Ted Cruz or the reincarnated Pat Buchanan can possibly win the Republican nomination in 2016. (Actually, Pat´s alive and well — it´s just that he´s on the McLaughlin Group. My bad.) There may be a pattern involving the IRS losing e-mails and other key computer records. For months, the House Oversight Committee has been pursuing the lost e-mails of Lois Lerner and other figures in the IRS tax-exempt organization scandal. Now, the private-jet company NetJets is claiming in a lawsuit that as part of its tax dispute with the agency the IRS “wiped clean a number of computer hard drives containing emails and other electronic documents that the Government was required to produce.” NetJets sued the IRS in 2011, claiming that it improperly applied a ticket tax on users of its aircraft that

A staffer at a local radio station in upstate New York lashed out at a Republican congressman earlier this month, expressing hope that his Democratic challenger would win in November and telling the career Army officer to get a “real job.” “Someday (hopefully) he will be replaced by Sean Eldridge,” wrote an employee of WIOX Radio to the reelection campaign of Rep. Government watchdog groups and transparency advocates are asking the Obama administration to review its policy of having the White House sign off on an expanded number of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests—a procedure they say causes significant delays. In a letter to the White House released Monday, 25 transparency organizations said the Obama administration’s policy of reviewing FOIA requests that contain so-called “White House equities” has “caused significant confusion and delay among agencies in their compliance with the Freedom of Information Act.” According to a 2009 memo from the White House Counsel to all agency heads and general counsels, the White

When Kansas City Chiefs safety Husain Abdullah intercepted a Tom Brady pass and returned it for a touchdown Monday night, he did what so many other NFL players do to celebrate a big play: He paused to make a religious gesture of thanks. For those who are unfamiliar with that last term, it is derived from the 2006 film Idiocracy that is best described by Wikipedia: a futuristic " dystopian society wherein advertising, commercialism, and cultural anti-intellectualism have run rampant and dysgenic pressure has resulted in a uniformly unthinking society devoid of intellectual curiosity, social responsibility , and coherent notions of justice and human rights." Ugly Senate fight could await

President Obama has a pretty obvious deadline for nominating a successor to departing Attorney General Eric Holder. If Democrats lose control of the Senate in November, they´ll still run things until newly-elected members arrive in January. So just to be safe, if the president wants guaranteed confirmation of a new attorney general, he´ll need to pick one soon. That way, even if Republicans win the Senate, and even if Obama´s choice is unpopular with the GOP, lame-duck Democrats will still be able to steamroll the opposition and confirm a new Attorney General. But it could be very, very ugly. The White House

Steven Wise, part of the Nonhuman Rights Project, which is leading the effort, will have to convince a panel of Albany appellate judges that a chimp name Tommy is a “legal person” to get him moved from a cage

It is the stuff that nightmares are made of, and day by day it is getting worse. The Ebola epidemic, says Dr Margaret Chan, director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO), is now “the greatest peacetime challenge” since the Second World War. Yet her own organisation’s tardiness, partly caused by cuts, together with reductions in--and misuse of--funds elsewhere, are largely responsible for Ebola spiralling out of control. ATLANTA — Texas, America’s second-most populous state behind California, saw 13 of its last abortion clinics turn away women on Friday, after a federal appeals court upheld a law that practically guarantees that only a handful of clinics will remain open in the state. The strictest-of-its-kind Texas law requires abortion providers to build hospital-grade facilities and obtain sometimes impossible-to-get hospital admitting privileges. After signed into law last year by Gov. Rick Perry (R), the law forced most of the 41 clinics operating to close. Thursday’s ruling wiped out a brief victory this summer for abortion rights proponents,
