Obama remains confident in CIA head
John Brennan despite Senate spying

Washington Examiner, by Susan Crabtree

President Obama remains confident in CIA Director John Brennan’s leadership despite an independent investigation that concluded that the agency had overreached its authority by spying on Senate staffers. White House spokesman Josh Earnest said the findings had not diminished Brennan’s standing in the administration. When asked whether it damaged his authority or credibility in any way, Earnest said: “Absolutely not.” Brennan first appointed an outside watchdog to conduct an investigation into the allegations, has “been candid” about the “inconsistencies” that the inspector found, apologized and took the step of appointing a panel to review the need for disciplinary action, he

That speech the CIA director gave in Arabic on the beauty of Islam

Written by Allen West on July 28, 2014

"In 2010, John Brennan, the current Director of the CIA, gave a speech extolling the beauty of Islam. I hope you’ll watch this three-minute clip.

I’m not interested in contradicting Brennan’s opinion of the glorious aspects of Islam, or commenting on the fact he spoke fluent Arabic, and hoped “Insha’Allah” to study it again one day.

What concerns me most about this speech is that a senior member of our National Security team, and now currently the CIA director, referred to the capital of Israel in the first instance not as Jerusalem — but as Al Quds. That is a blatant slap and disrespect to our ally in the Middle East, the State of Israel."

This is an enormous issue

1) The CIA is controlled by the executive branch
2) The legislative is so concerned about executive overreach that it is suing the executive branch (President)
3) And now we see that the executive branch is spying on the legislative branch.

Smidgen is a wannabe tyrant.

Cleveland - James Traficant, the colorful Ohio politician whose conviction for taking bribes and kickbacks made him only the second person to be expelled from Congress since the Civil War, died Saturday. He was 73. Traficant was seriously injured Tuesday after a vintage tractor flipped over on him as he tried to park it inside a barn on the family farm near Youngstown. He died four days later in a Youngstown hospital, said Dave Betras, chairman of the Mahoning County Democratic Party. The Democrat´s expulsion from Congress in 2002 came three months after a federal jury in Cleveland convicted him.

DENVER - Hundreds of high school students in Colorado´s second-largest school district staged a walkout on Wednesday to protest proposed changes to a history curriculum that would stress patriotism and discourage civil disobedience. Student protesters marched outside schools waving placards bearing slogans such as: "My School, My Education, My Voice!" and "Don´t Make History a Mystery!" The demonstrations marked the third straight day of protests at six high schools in Jefferson County, a suburban Denver school district of 84,000 students. The controversy stems from proposed changes to an advanced placement history curriculum proposed by a school board member who was

PHOENIX — Video footage of Jodi Arias' Sept. 29 penalty phase retrial should be allowed to be broadcast 30 minutes after the end of each day's proceedings to afford the public their constitutional right to witness criminal trials, a media lawyer argued Monday. Arias was convicted of murder last year in the 2008 killing of her ex-boyfriend at his suburban Phoenix home, but jurors couldn't decide on her sentence. The retrial will determine if she gets the death penalty or life in prison. Arias' first trial was broadcast live, but Judge Sherry Stephens denied that right this time around, ruling that no footage could be broadcast until after the verdict.

Dissent is the highest form of patriotism. Dissent is the lowest form of crime. If you are a drone in the hive of the Left, it is possible — easy, in fact — to believe both of those things at the same time. Free speech just won an important victory in a federal courtroom, though it is shameful that the case ever even had to go to court. Ohio had enacted a plainly unconstitutional law that empowered a government panel to determine whether criticisms offered in political advertisements were sufficiently true to be permitted in the public discourse. So it was understandable that after he lost the presidential race in 2012, he was adamant about closing the door to the possibility of a third campaign.
