Pentagon: Civilian casualties
in Gaza ´too high´

WASHINGTON - The Pentagon called on Israel on Thursday to do more to protect civilian life during its military operations in Gaza, saying the conflict was taking too high a toll on civilians. "The civilian casualties in Gaza have been too high. And it´s become clear that the Israelis need to do more to live up to their very high standards - their very high and very public standards - for protecting civilian life," Pentagon spokesman Colonel Steve Warren said at a news briefing. Gaza officials say more than 1,370 Palestinians, most of them civilians, have been killed in the

Comments:
Okay, Colonel, would you please tell us how many fatalities are just right?

There would be little or no casualties if the Palestinians would:

1. Stop using their women and children as human shields;
2. Their leaders would stop diverting the aid money into tunnels to attack Israel (and into their own pockets); and
3. Stop attacking the Israelis (remember, this crisis began with Palestinians kidnapping, torturing and killing three young Israeli men).

No condemnation of Hamas? How about the Hamas soldier who attacked an Israeli patrol with a rifle in one hand and a baby under his arm. I guess that´s ok with the Pentagon. All civilian casualties are caused by Hamas and Hamas alone.

Who is counting the casualties?
Who is deciding who qualifies as a civilian?

Since it is the arab terrorists that are giving out these numbers, they are suspect.
The arabs claim that anyone not in uniform is a civilian, but their forces do not wear uniforms.

Result: Phony statistics!

If this colonel has ever been in Iraq and seen combat and the news reports, he should understand this!

What is the purpose of the pentagon? Support and promotion of the American armed forces should be somewhere in its mission statement. How do these statements serve that mission? Point of fact they undermine American interests, Israel is our only dependable ally in the area. Undermining them is against American interests. SO SHUT UP

Now, send them more armaments to defend themselves and the world from these miserable barbarians! Otherwise, keep your comments to yourself!

Hamas´ tells the three UN humanitarian orgs how to count the dead: as civilians or as soldiers.
Hamas refuses to name the dead males so researchers cannot prove they had ties with Hamas.
Hamas also counts children 3 times each, using spelling variants.
The media then reports these phony numbers as if they are true.
Hamas is stealing food from their own civilians now.
I expect them to fall soon.

I am of the opinion that Israel should just obliterate the Gaza strip.
It is better to say "Oops I´m sorry", than "Please may I".
The world will get over it. And most importantly, Israel will survive.
As far as the UN´s Moon is concerned, let´s remove American troops from the Korean Border, and see how he reacts to missles lobbed from North Korea daily.
As for Colonel Warren, I bet if Patton were still around, he´d have some words for you.

Hamas appeared to admit using human shields to fire rockets into Israel for the first time today, but refused to accept responsibility for the slaughter of hundreds of innocent Palestinians killed in retaliatory airstrikes. In a veiled confession that comes two weeks after the end of the Gaza war, a senior Hamas official said the group´s fighters had no choice but to use residential areas from which to launch missiles into their neighbour´s territory. But while Ghazi Hamad claimed they took safeguards to keep people away from the violence, he admitted ´mistakes were made´, blaming Israel´s heavy-handed response for the

President Obama just announced that he is bringing a counter-terrorism strategy to an insurgency fight. He was at pains to repeat the phrase “counter-terror” four times in a short speech. Noting that ISIL is not a state (partly because the international community thankfully does not recognize it), he declared, “ISIL is a terrorist organization, pure and simple. Qua speech, Barack Obama’s address Wednesday on the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria was surprisingly terrible: a disorganized mess, insincere and unconvincing. To appreciate just how bad and bizarre it was, compare the president’s speech announcing a new air campaign in Iraq and Syria to Dwight Eisenhower’s 1958 statement on his decision to intervene in Lebanon with 14,000—14,000!—troops. The statement contains no chest-thumping about America’s leadership in science and medicine. No pivot to the auto industry and medical research. Eisenhower simply explained what had been done, and why.
