Progressive Leader Outlines Plan to ‘Take

Daily Signal, by Bruce Parker

The recent Netroots Nation gathering, billed as a “giant family reunion for the left,” included a directive from one leader of a progressive state policy network to “take down” conservative state policy organizations nationwide. Arshad Hasan, who moderated a breakout session called “Stink Tanks in Your State: Inside the State Policy Network,” called on attendees to attack state policy groups from Michigan’s Mackinac Center to Vermont’s Ethan Allen Institute. “The next step for us is to take down this network of institutions that are state-based in each and every one of our states,” Hasan said. Who is Arshad Hassan? Is he Muslim? Is that why he wants to wipe out conservative policy centers and only have "progressive" (those that fall all over Muslim´s money) centers?

Granted, a big assumption on my part.

Hassan is a gay, hard left Howard Dean disciple. He can´t stand to debate the opposition so he has to try and eliminate them.

Many are shocked by liberal/progressive political tactics. Once again, view these people as juveniles, more interested in getting their way, than being mature or moral.

Narcissists never grow up, and cannot be ´fixed´. They have a personality disorder. It´s who and what, they are.

Why Is the Senate Considering

How would a law that makes employers afraid to give raises benefit women?! Yet many senators appear to believe it would. They have announced their support for the Paycheck Fairness Act (PFA), which is currently being debated in the Senate and could be up for a vote as soon as this week. This law would make almost any difference in pay between employees grounds for a lawsuit. If it passes, businesses could be in legal jeopardy for giving raises and bonuses. Supporters intend the Paycheck Fairness Act to combat sex discrimination. Certainly sex discrimination is wrong. Women and men doing equal work deserve

IRS Under Fire for Targeting

The Internal Revenue Service, already under investigation for illegally targeting conservative and tea party groups, recently audited the conservative Breitbart News Network in a move that the company says was politically motivated. (Snip) The news drew a swift reaction from Breitbart’s leaders and prompted Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, to fire off a letter to the IRS demanding answers about the audit. “For the IRS to behave like a partisan political organization, targeting media organizations whose views differ from the president’s, would represent a gross abuse of power,” Cruz said.

Unfortunately for the rest of America, liberals are not going to realize the damage they have wrought on all of us until they personally experience the ramifications of supporting Barack Obama. At this juncture, maybe an illegal-immigrant-caused mini pandemic will rouse liberals out of the fevered delusion that this president somehow has the best interests of the nation’s children at heart. What is obvious is that Barack Obama does have the best interests of children at heart: illegal immigrant children harboring viruses and communicable diseases. American children who are defenseless against the onslaught, not so much.

What is the core of the American story? What is American history about? For a long time, Abraham Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address was thought to offer the most succinct and profound reply to these questions. The heart of the American story was said to be the Founding, with its principles of liberty and equality. (Snip) More recently, revisionist historians have developed a different answer to the question of what America’s story is about. From their perspective, at the heart of our country’s history—like the history of any other powerful nation—lies the pursuit of empire, of dominion over others. In this view,

After all his complaints about Republican obstruction this year, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid expressed frustration last night after Republicans helped guarantee a floor vote on a measure he supports. The Nevada Democrat has accused Senate Republicans of chicanery for voting to advance to the Senate floor a Democratic constitutional amendment allowing Congress to regulate all campaign speech and spending. After Monday´s bipartisan 79-18 vote, Reid vented to reporters that Republicans were trying to "stall" the Senate, indicating that he never intended for the campaign finance amendment by Sen. Tom Udall, D-N.M., to go to a real floor debate. Politico reporter Burgess Everett

There are always lunatics lurking in the crevices of Muslim politics prepared to proclaim a new Caliphate; there isn’t always a recruiting pool in the form of nearly 14 million displaced people (11 million Syrians, or half the country’s population, and 2.8 million Iraqis, or a tenth of the country’s population). Stanton Peele, who studies and treats addiction, has published a fascinating summation of the scientific evidence on drinking and health (hat tip: Instapundit), and it cuts against the grain of much of what you will hear from most public health spokesmen. Drinking alcohol, up to two drinks a day for women and four for men (sorry, ladies, that’s what the data shows!), decreases mortality. Drink up and live longer. The U.S. public health establishment buries overwhelming evidence that abstinence is a cause of heart disease and early death. People deserve to know that alcohol gives most of us a higher life

The damage done by drug abuse and drug-related crime is enormous, and continues to radiate across American communities. Heroin deaths have recently captured national headlines. We need to think about ending the meth crisis now, because thanks to DEA, Congress, and the advance of science, we are getting closer to being able to do that. There are no panaceas, but we need to take the next step toward reducing the proliferation of meth labs. WASHINGTON--US President Barack Obama will tell the American people on Wednesday night that he plans to order strikes against Islamic State forces in both Syria and Iraq until the group is ultimately destroyed. The president´s plan includes additional support for opposition militias in Syria vetted by the United States, which will serve as a ground force complementing America´s air campaign. As we suspected, President Obama tried in his Wednesday-night speech to make it sound like he was doing something new when he, in fact, he is not. Moreover, in describing his response, he made plain that he doesn’t take the threat to the homeland seriously. For a threat his advisers say is greater than that posed by al-Qaeda after 2001, he proposed measures suitable for Yemen and Somalia. No, really — that’s the plan. For starters, the president doesn’t believe the Islamic State is a current threat to the U.S.: “So ISIL poses a threat to the people of Iraq

Rarely has a president faced a greater challenge in establishing his credibility for a new foreign-policy move than Barack Obama did in his nationally televised speech tonight. A CNN poll earlier this week found that just 30 percent of voters thought Obama had presented a clear plan for fighting the Islamic State. While Obama now pledges to ask Congress to train and aid Syrian rebels who would fight the group, voters remember that he backed similar plans in Syria in 2013, when his advisers saw Syrian president Bashar Assad as the major threat. Throughout his presidency, President Obama has emphasized one point while talking about Islamist extremists: They are not practicing Islam, he has said, they are perverting it.
