Hillary Clinton and the
Decision to Intervene in Libya

Power Line, by Paul Mirengoff

Original Article

Hillary Clinton has been working full-time to control the story of her time as Secretary of State. That was the point of her clunky, largely unread book, and the point of her awkward, gaffe-laden book tour. Clinton argues (plausibly) that she wanted a more activist approach to Syria than that served up by her boss. She argues (implausibly) that she wasn’t really sold on the “reset” with Russia. As to Libya, Clinton’s priority must be to duck, to the extent possible, the political fallout from the killing of our ambassador and three other Americans by terrorists in Benghazi. But what about the larger

Sadly true, #1. Everything this woman does is seen through the eye of political expediency. There is no moral compass or strategic thinking. Every decision is predicated on how it will enhance her political viability. The fact that there could be grave consequences or even unintended consequences was not enough to stop her from pushing a strategy that had not been thought through. This is a perfect example how the liberal mindset works. They see what they want to see and ignore or dismiss reality.

It pains me to say this, but women will ignore Hillary´s lack of integrity in favor of her gender. Gender trumps everything for liberal women. They will in their haste to elect the first female president ignore Hillary´s myriad of shortcomings, which is putting it mildly, to see her take the oath of office. It was race driving the vote in 2008 and it will be gender in 2016. If not Hillary, it will be Elizabeth Warren.

#1, do you think that maybe the lo-fos don´t even remember hearing about this?

How many people remember half of the autocratic actions of BO and his regime?

Start a list, ask a few people if they remember anything, even the healthcare(less) legislation (now here, some may remember if they´ve been touched personally), of the endless outrages cynically thrust upon the Body Politic!

People don´t remember... IF they ever knew.
So Hill Clinton´s escapades are non-existent for the voters who continue to think she is so smart.

The ignorance, apathy, hedonism of the people, this is what endangers the Republic.
An alert People would not tolerate this. We need more people to wake up. Soon. Really soon.

If she runs her time as Secretary of State and her ties to Goldman Sachs will be too much to overcome. She was a disaster. Libya really was blood for oil. The genocide talk is nonsense. Nothing like Rwanda was happening. We led the way for the French and Italians. We never should have been involved.

Would it be too much to ask - - that we agree not to use the word "gender" when we mean "sex"?

"Gender" is a grammatical term - - an attribute which English ironically lacks. "Sex" distinguishes the males and females of a species.

Mrs. Master B. Clinton doesn´t prey on "gender" issues - - she´s hardly a grammarian - - she preys on "sex" issues.

Agreed? Good - - now let´s proceed accordingly.

And as someone else stated, there will be a huge amount of lo-fo´s who won´t even know what your are talking about. There memory doesn´t work beyond 3 days anyway. Arming ´moderates´: a cautionary tale

Not long ago, Washington considered arming and training rebels engaged in what would become a fierce civil war. Nations with an invested stake in the outcome discussed whether to support a perceived David against a corrupt Goliath in a strategically located region of the world. The consequences would have broad ramifications that would tip the scale in favor of one side. The issue wasn’t one of conviction. It was a matter of unanswered questions about an uncertain ally. The negotiations to which I refer could be mistaken as relating to arming the moderate Free Syrian Army against the oppressive regime of President Bashar

INDIANOLA, IOWA — Hillary Clinton is trapped in a bubble. She’s been guarded by the Secret Service since 1993. She hasn’t driven a car since 1996. When she shakes hands with voters _ as she did Sunday in Iowa _ she’s often separated from them by metal barriers. In some ways, Clinton is a prisoner of her own success. The Secret Service protection has been there since she became first lady in 1993, and it will follow her the rest of her life. In other ways, she has fed the sense that she is removed from the lives of everyday Americans, such

A poll released last week had some pretty bad news for congressional Democrats heading into the midterm elections. But buried in the poll numbers was a figure that just might constitute an even more important turning point. Respondents were asked: “On balance, do you feel that Obama’s presidency so far has been more of a success or more of a failure?” More than half, 52%, said “failure.” Only 42% said “success.” And it gets worse. Only 22% were “strongly” convinced Obama is a success, while 39% are strongly convinced he’s a failure. And the American people have pretty much made up

Everybody knows there is no real leader in the race for the 2016 Republican presidential nomination. But ask voters an open-ended question — Whom do you want to be the nominee? — and the range of answers can be breathtaking. That´s what I did in an unplanned and totally unscientific way on my Twitter feed Tuesday afternoon. On Monday evening I posted a piece about Mike Huckabee´s preparations for another run for the nomination in 2016. Twitter reaction to Huckabee was almost entirely negative: Nobody, or at least nobody reading my tweets on a Tuesday afternoon, seemed to like the idea

The nightly news shows made it very clear this week that they’ve gotten behind Hillary Clinton’s expected 2016 campaign for president. The network news programs gave Mrs. Clinton’s trip to Iowa the gushing, royal treatment on Sunday, repeating it again on Monday, as she appeared before a throng of cheering Democrats in Iowa, where her party’s first presidential nominating caucuses will be held. The coverage of her speech, which was loaded with empty platitudes and little else that was newsworthy, bordered on the worshipful. That she has the 2016 Democratic nomination virtually sewed up at this juncture tells us everything we need

The more violence that comes out of the Islamic world, the more that the Left insists Islam is a “religion of peace.” The rise of ISIS has inspired Western leaders to redouble their attempts at reeducation. Appointing themselves Islamic authorities, they declare that ISIS is “not Islamic.” These Western leaders are far more protective of Islam than their own historic religion. They are willing to subject Christianity to scrutiny for its supposedly reactionary teachings, even as they hold that the doctrines of Islam are flawless and beyond criticism. At Yale this week, student groups that typically sponsor critics of Christianity denounced the

Obamacare—or at least the version of it that the president and his advisers currently think they can get away with putting into place—has been upending arrangements and reshuffling the deck in the health system since the beginning of the year. That’s when the new insurance rules, subsidies, and optional state Medicaid expansions went into effect. The law’s defenders say the changes that have been set in motion are irreversible, in large part because several million people are now covered by insurance plans sold through the exchanges, and a few million more are enrolled in Medicaid as a result of Obamacare.
