Report: Desperate Hamas
Stealing UN Food Stamps to Survive

Breitbart Big Peace, by Joel B. Pollack

Though Hamas started the latest round of conflict with Israel, it seems to have calculated--wrongly--that Israel would not launch a ground invasion. Members of the Hamas terrorist organization are reportedly so desperate for food after three-and-a-half weeks of war with Israel that they are seizing United Nations food coupons to keep their members fed--and to prevent them from surrendering to Israeli soldiers out of sheer hunger. The Jerusalem Post reports that senior Israeli military planners have concluded that Hamas is operating from a position of weakness, having lost much of its secretive tunnel network--and at least some of

Just following the model of America, enabled by Obama. Who do you think is paying for those UN Food Stamps? Egypt? Russia? Argentina?

The UN is apparently aiding & abetting the barbaric enemies of freedom in this ME border war considering that Hamas hides missiles & etc. in tunnels & UN schools & hospitals to use against Israel. ...Why is the USA in any way involved with such what has become such a radical organization as the deceitful UN, ...much less funding it?
The US & freedom loving countries should defund & disassociate from the UN, ASAP.

I´m with #2 -- this hardly makes sense in a war zone. You will murder and terrorize, but you will "pay" for your food and steal the payments? Seems way to civilized under the circumstances.

Hamas members seized UN food coupons and prevented Gazan civilians from receiving the aid, in order to try and keep field cell members fed

I would think its more about trying to make Gazan civilians into propaganda pawns -- look, see what the Israeilis are doing making people starve!

NEW YORK -- Health officials are investigating nine cases of muscle weakness or paralysis in Colorado children and whether the culprit is a virus causing severe respiratory illness across the country. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday sent doctors an alert about the polio-like cases. The germ - enterovirus 68 - was detected in four of eight children tested. Health officials don´t know whether the virus caused any of the children´s arm and leg weaknesses or whether it´s just a germ they coincidentally picked up. The cases occurred within the last two months - during the same

An adamant Charlie Rose, on Thursday night, was astounded that there could be any opposition to the fight against climate change as blurted: “Where is the resistance?! What stands in the way of something that clearly threatens the planet?” During a discussion with the foreign minister of France, on his PBS show, Rose asked Laurent Fabius what “progress is being made” at Climate Week at the United Nations General Assembly. In his response Fabius unveiled a new and improved politically correct term to be used by the environmental left as he told Rose: “I don’t speak about climate change. I

Police are investigating a mysterious death at a market in Santa Ana. A woman was acting violently Wednesday at El Toro Carniceria-Meat Shop at 1340 West 1st Street when a security guard placed her in handcuffs, according to investigators. A witness said she was behaving erratically and began removing her clothes. “She was jumping like crazy. And then she made a mess inside the liquor store. And that’s why the security guard had to do what he had to do, and grab her and handcuff her,” Joseph Castellan said. Moments later, she died.Detectives have not released the identity of the

Paul Krugman’s latest dispatch bemoans the penchant of the rich to live in vast mansions with lots of servants. It would be unremarkable save for the glimpse it provides into the lack of self-awareness on the left. Mr. Krugman reckons that we are seeing a resurgence of elite ostentation. This seems to have been touched off by his reading an article from a long ago Fortune magazine about how executives lived in the 1950s. It turns out, he writes, that “the lives of an earlier generation’s elite were, indeed, far more restrained, more seemly if you like, than those of

Two days before Attorney General Eric Holder announced his resignation, a federal court ordered the Justice Department to produce, by October 22, a detailed list of Fast and Furious documents sought by a conservative watchdog group. Judicial Watch requested the documents in a June 2012 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request. Three months later, in September 2012, Judicial Watch filed a FOIA lawsuit, seeking all of the documents the Obama White House was withholding from Congress under a claim of executive privilege. This week, the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia ruled that the Justice Department must submit

Maybe his resignation on Thursday will revive the story for the three broadcast network evening newscasts, but don´t count on it. With Sharyl Attkisson no longer working at CBS News, there is no broadcast journalist who has shown any interest in pursuing this disgraceful story. In fact, as the MRC documented after the 2012 re-election of President Obama, Holder´s Fast and Furious scandal was just one of the many stories the

The resignation — if that’s what it is — of Attorney General Eric Holder signals the end of one of the most divisive tenures in the history of the cabinet. It was no doubt inevitable after Mr. Holder was determined, in a bi-partisan vote, to be in criminal contempt of the 112th United States House. He became the only sitting cabinet officer in history to be so found. He reacted to the contempt finding with more contempt. From that point on his tenure in office was unsustainable. Eric Holder Jr., the nation´s first black U.S. attorney general, is preparing to announce his resignation Thursday after a tumultuous tenure marked by civil rights advances, national security threats, reforms to the criminal justice system and five and a half years of fights with Republicans in Congress. Two sources familiar with the decision tell NPR that Holder, 63, intends to leave the Justice Department as soon as his successor is confirmed, a process that could run through 2014 and even into next year. A former U.S. government official says Holder has been increasingly "adamant" about his desire to leave soon

Even though Republicans may take back the Senate by running against amnesty, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush pushed amnesty legislation while stumping for North Carolina Republican Senate candidate Thom Tillis on Wednesday. And even though a recent Gallup poll found that illegal immigration is now the top concern among Republicans, Bush said that if immigration reform is "framed in that way, I don’t think there’s a big debate in the Republican Party about the need to do this."

Of all the malfeasances of William Jefferson Clinton the one that would have most justified a removal from office was not the Monica hijinks, even with the attendant lying under oath and absurd parsings of the word “is,” but the pardoning of Marc Rich — the billionaire international commodities trader and mammoth contributor to, er, Clinton. If I were a scientist, I´d stick to the Goldman Sachs principle: bet on both sides. "Believe in science, believe in God" seems to cover all the possibilities and gives you the best chance for a cheery afterlife. For a time, it was thought that astrophysicist Stephen Hawking had also left a tiny gap in his credo window for a magical deity. However, he has now come out and declared that there is no God.
