Islamic terrorists gain supporters in India. Youngisthan reported: While UN is mulling over including the fighters from the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIS) to a list of war crimes suspects in Syria, security forces fighting militancy in India have a new worry at hand. The flags and banners of ISIS and Al Qaeda have made their debut in the terror plagued Kashmir. Yesterday, after offering Eid prayers at Eidgah, people started shouting anti-Israel and Pro-Palestine slogans to protest the Israeli aggression on Gaza. The call for 30 minute post-namaz protests was given by Hurriyat chief Syed Ali Shah Geelani. Reportedly, masked men

India has faced their fair share of the separatists in Kashmir. ISIS in Kashmir will not help the negotiations.

With more than two years left to go, is Michelle Obama ready to be a former first lady? Laura Bush seems to think so. The Washington Post has a profile on the busy post-White House life of Bush, a former first lady herself, in which she says she “could tell” Obama is thinking about leaving her current role behind. The Post interviewed Bush after she and Obama made a joint appearance at the Kennedy Center in early August. From the Post, emphasis added: Nearly six years removed from Washington, it’s not hard to picture Laura Bush and her friends dancing the night away in

The White House issued a veto threat Wednesday against a Republican bill that would allow consumers to keep health insurance plans that don´t meet Obamacare standards. According to the White House, the GOP bill sponsored by Rep. Bill Cassidy, R-La., “would roll back the progress made because of the Affordable Care Act and would allow insurers to deploy practices such as charging businesses more when a worker has a pre existing condition or when it has more workers who are women than men.” “The bill would allow insurers to go back to capping the amount of care that enrollees receive

The House passed legislation Tuesday that would prevent the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) from implementing a proposed rule to define its jurisdiction over bodies of water. Passed 262-152, the bill would prohibit the EPA from using the proposal for any rulemaking regarding the Clean Water Act. The rule, proposed in March, sought to clarify which bodies of water, such as wetlands and streams, are subject to agencies´ authority under the act. EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy has said the rule does not significantly expand the agency´s existing authority. Republicans said the rule would go too far and subject trivial bodies of water to

Town officials in Ferguson, Mo., have moved to create a civilian group to monitor cops there, who have come under fire since the killing of a black teenager on Aug. 9. The Ferguson City Council on Monday said the proposed Citizen Review Board would be made up of locals not connected to the police or government, and would work with city officials to oversee and improve the much-maligned department, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. The 53-man force has been accused of racism and stoking long-simmering feelings of mistrust against the city´s mostly black residents — charges that exploded into days of rioting

A Pennsylvania judge accused a federal labor arbiter of acting as an extension of a powerful labor union in a dispute with a local hospital. Federal Judge Arthur J. Schwab said that the National Labor Relations Board overstepped its bounds when it demanded personnel information from the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center Presbyterian (UPMC) during an investigation into alleged unfair labor practices filed by SEIU. The hospital objected to three requests because they would aid the union’s attempt to organize the workplace. Schwab called the NLRB’s requests “overly broad and unfocused” and unprecedented in their “massive nature.” “The scope and nature of the

The Obama administration will make a decision on executive action to prevent corporations from leaving the country in the "very near future," Treasury Secretary Jack Lew said Monday morning. Speaking at an event on business taxes at the Urban Institute in Washington, Lew placed the responsibility on Congress to address so-called tax inversions, but said that the administration was prepared to step in if lawmakers don´t move quickly enough. Inversions are tax maneuvers in which corporations buy firms in low-tax countries in order to place their headquarters in that country. Such deals have grown in number in recent months, with
